  1. Watch the tape. I am glad that his shot isn't dropping at a higher rate. It still doesn't change anything I said.
  2. The one undeniable IMO is Carroll's D on JJ has been bad in this series but we know he's a good defender. That's what makes it so Frustrating. Korver is bad on D at times but that's no huge surprise. JJ shouldn't be that much of a mismatch for Carrol. As for his 5 made shots last game, that's true, but it mostly thanks to Bazemore. JJ may have missed some but he was on the aggressive when DMC was on him and he was able to get any shot he wanted. And this has been all series. Not just this game.
  3. Can't believe this. Too much to say right now, so I'l just say the thing foremost in my mind tonight. Carroll & Korver. When JJ & Bogdonavich see them there eyes light up!! Yes we play a lot of team D but they've looked bad whether it's isolation or getting beat weakside. And before you say JJ didn't have a huge game, all I can say is thank god for Bazmore. For all the hate he gets, do you have any idea what this series would look like without his D. Through 4 games in this series, There is no doubt Bazemore has played JJ much better than Carroll. I know Carroll brings it on O but we need him more on D. Korver....it's hard to be as upset about but goodness gracious Bogdonavich has made him look bad.
  4. I don't know what we'll see but as the #1 seed, I feel like it's gut check time. No need to overreact off one game. At the same time, a team that can win it all should look energized and focused tonight. God forbid, we lose, this team needs to leave it all out there and focus.
  5. Anybody know exactly when Playoff tickets go on sale for the 2nd round? I am in DC and want to see the Hawks/Wiz game in the next rd. Been to several but this would be my first PO game. I can't find any info about the tickets though. I see some Game 3/4 games on stubhub, but I'm assuming these are ST holders who know they will have them. When does the NBA put them on sale?
  6. This. We should all be rooting for the Raptors ATM. At least for a game or 2.
  7. Kyle Korver Is the Best Shooter in the NBA — and It’s Not Particularly Close JESSE D. GARRABRANT/NBAE/GETTY IMAGES NBA APRIL 22, 2015 by KIRK GOLDSBERRY Facebook Twitter Email PRINT A quick look at Kyle Korver’s stats reveals that he’s a pretty darn good shooter — 49 percent on 3s during the regular season, ranked third in the league in total triples made — but those basic stats fail to capture just how special he has been this year. A deeper examination of his shooting data reveals that Korver is something closer to a jump-shooting messiah. This year, Korver scored 805 points on 600 field goal attempts. As this chart shows, most of those shots came from beyond the arc: That certainly looks good, but using shooting data from the whole league, we can compare Korver’s yield to what the output of an average NBA shooter would be from the same constellation of shots. If an “average” NBA player had attempted the exact same collection of shots as Korver this season, he would have scored 1.04 points per shot. That’s not bad, but guess what? Korver accumulated a dizzying 1.34 points per shot. During the regular season, the Clippers led the NBA by scoring 109.8 points per 100 possessions. The Hawks averaged 134 points per 100 possessions any time Korver took a shot. In other words, whenever the Hawks just manage to get Korver a decent look, they immediately transform into an offensive juggernaut. And judging by the bench’s “premature” reaction here, they are well aware: By the end of the regular season, Korver had accumulated 182 points more than an “average” shooter would have from his exact same shooting opportunities. Once you account for volume, it’s clear that Korver had the most efficient scoring season in the league by a wide margin. Points Above Average Shooter per 100 Shots1 1. Kyle Korver, plus-30.2 2. DeAndre Jordan, plus-17.4 3. J.J. Redick, plus-17.2 4. Stephen Curry, plus-17.0 5. Brandan Wright, plus-16.6 And while we’re here, let’s check in on the worst shooters: 1. Lance Stephenson, minus-20.0 2. Michael Carter-Williams, minus-19.4 3. Elfrid Payton, minus-18.1 4. Solomon Hill, minus-17.3 5. Dion Waiters, minus-17.3 After 75 regular-season performances, Korver built one of the scariest shot charts I’ve ever seen. But he didn’t do it alone. Catch-and-shoot guys need smart tactics and great teammates to help them get good looks, and more than 95 percent of Korver’s buckets this year involved an assist. The Hawks remain a legitimate threat to win the Eastern Conference because of Korver, but also because they have the coach of the year in Mike Budenholzer and a band of other great players working together to find the best shot on the floor. However, with all due respect to All-Stars like Paul Millsap, Al Horford, and Jeff Teague, Korver is the team’s scariest weapon. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/nba-kyle-korver-best-shooter-nba-atlanta-hawks/
  8. Barnes=Carrol doe? Bogut better than Horford doe? Hell. Forget about the hype. Is Barnes really better than Millsap? idk about that. May be a little too much espn they are listening to.
  9. Extremely excited by this but also a little surprised. Felt like the media had really been rallying for anyone else (Mostly Kerr) the last few days. He definitely deserved this though. Bud COY!!
  10. Millsap not himself. Thats honestly all that stood out to me negatively besides continued rebound woes.
  11. Mudholes. You know where. That's all I want to see.
  12. Can't speak for everyone, but I'm happy with tonight's outcome. Think we beat Pacers and Nets. its just the Pacers will fight and the Nets will lay down. This is what I've seen and it's backed up by Paul Pierce's recent comments in that espn article. Hypothetically, I think I would take an extra playoff game for the slightly higher pick and a small chance at the lottery.
  13. Damn this is intense when you don't think about how pathetic a lot of it has been.
  14. I listen to more Bill Simmons then I should and he has really been milking this Celtics-Hawks upset scenario. Just not buying though. Bias aside, I don't see it at all. Can that team even score with us? Don't know that they have enough playmakers to hurt our D. You could argue their 2 best playmakers on the outside are streaky shooters. For the record, I'm not worried about the Nets either because I have eyes.
  15. .....wooosaaah. This one could hurt. Idk what else to say. So many moving parts. I'll try to think of Thabo's and Antić's rights first and foremost, but its hard not to think about how this effects our team.
  16. Looking at B Reference, he still has a shot, right? I could swear he's been on fire lately, but it looks like the PHO game didn't help. Will have to do the math to see if it's possible but did he meet the FT qualifier? Or is that dream over? That post allstar slump may have done it. 17. Good win. Was so upset when Carrol got worked by JJs same move on the low block but he more than made up for it. Nets played tough but deserved to lose for that last "play".
  18. This sounds like nothing serious. Cops be coppin. idk what time they have to report the next morning to work/practice. I'm more worried about the questions they will be asked if they are married/in a relationship. Clubbin is fine but you gotta be hittin it pretty hard to be there at 4AM. And I'm not clubbin with the fellas for that long.
  19. Monday morning just got much better.
  20. Mike Conti ‏@MikeConti929 18m18 minutes ago Kent Bazemore on Millsap: "He should be fine. Don't be surprised to see him next game" #ATLHawks Kind of unofficial but......?????
  21. Hope Milsap is fine. Goodness gracious though. What got into Horford? He put the entire Nets frontcourt on a poster.
  22. Screw the officiating and screw Westbrook. Teague finally showed a little energy in the 4th and still ended his matchup with Westbrook for an amazing what.....11 and 2? lol. This is becoming to familiar. If Teague is going to give this type of inconsistency again, he can go from allstar to 6th man in my book. We didn't need much more from him to pull away when were were up 10+.
  23. Teague looked like Passive Teague from last year for too much of the game and Horford's shot being off the beginning of the whole game was too much to overcome.
