LOL at the advanced stat geniuses. it doesn’t take a rocket scientist that we we lose so many games to having a porous defense. no advanced stat metric combing offensive and defensive stats will give you that. we are near the bottom of the league in defense every year since 2020. whether it be personnel or scheme.. watching games daily you will see opposite team random scorers get hot and them hit corner 3’s consistently. GET BETTER DEFENSIVELY, WIN MORE GAMES advanced stats can go in the trash

Sign and trade for defense across the board. dump Bey Capela and Dre for better defenders Out: Bey, Dre, Capela, DJM In: Starters for Defensive Center, Defensive Forwards (OG or Trey or Bridges or Herb types), start Bogi at the 2 and use Kobe to back him up. Sign Delon Wright to backup Trae.

@Sothron Why is the answer no? Because Ressler is building Centennial Yards and just announced a big entertainment district. It's a very bad business decision for him based on the real estate objectives he and his company haves. From a marketing perspective its much easier for them to sell lease space when they can market "Come See Trae Young' (and scrubs) then just "come see our scrubs and get wasted".

Landry showed his severe lack of experience with that presser. It was appalling to see him talk like that. I think it really took my opinion of him from good (DJM resigning) to bad.

JJ is not a superstar to build around...... yet. 99.9% of sports talk radio personalities are ridiculously biased towards hot takes and don't take in consideration actual statistics. IMO, you need to start swapping the other pieces besides JJ, Trae, and DJM before you talk about rebuilding. Capela, Bogi, Bey, Dre, OO... they all suck and need to go

Unlike the many Trae haters, I actually really really like Trae on a championship team. That’s why the Lakers are drooling over him. however the way the roster was constructed around him with lots of subpar defensive play, it’s been that which created these results. somebody in the front office must have the defensive standings and ratings pulled up… right?

I agree. I just hope that they realize they will need a defense paired with the offense we have. That’s the key. If they went out and replaced half our roster with defensive minded players in the paint and perimeter the results would get better next year.

You are right. There is no upside.... EXCEPT with Trae it is a offensive juggernaut. It's the defense that has always been ignored. When the FO gets their head out of their rear ends and instead of hawks DNA, chooses really good defenders to put around our offensive playmakers.. we will start winning.

this was laughable... At this point, time is against their side... We need some serious moves... defensive upgrades... pick a direction. I'm very unhappy with how things are right now.
