    Vit and Forrest aren’t difference makers. Making a big deal about them getting long term deals isn’t it. This team needs some defensive rebuilding for next year. No way we go deep in playoffs this year. i think they are signaling they need to mail it in and focus on next season. They aren’t prepared for a deep postseason run and they know it.

    Defensively speaking how does a New Defensive Center - JJ - Dre - DJM - Trae lineup work next year? do you think we can get into the top 15 defensively.. I wonder what’s in store for Dre if he can translate back to starting or we embrace his 6th man role and slide JJ to 3 and find a great PF-Center combo.. like Clayton

    Ingram would be a nice addition.. JJ however IMO is a large 3, not a PF. Bey is moreso a PF he had more post moves.

    We’ve made a a handful of good moves for years but a lot of non moves or bad ones

    To echo others, if this FO is smart they would pair DJ and Trae with all large defensive bodies.

    That’s not entirely true and you know that. There are plenty of ball dominant players that play together in this current NBA.

    I'm not as big of a fan of Lauren as you but she should have said.. "Hawks MUST increase their size and defense at the wing and at center.. it's been a complete joke this year" I prefer beat writers that ask tough awkward questions.. IMO, Ken Seguira and Jeff Schulz were some of the best at this

    Eh this is basically a disaster year. Saddiq that is horrible for him. My biggest hopes now are to see Hunter JJ and Kobe play well (whenever they are cleared). The rest of the season is a write off. AJ still gets no burn and the FO has really played itself into a hole.

    those are my top 2 as well but I have a feeling they will both go top 5. Maybe within a package of a trade in June we can somehow get him but it will be a long shot.

    We have some real injury / personnel problems. This is a point in the season where I'd like to fast forward to June.

    I tend to agree. I'd like to see the defensive ratings over the rest of the season. There are some factors other than Trae vs. Murray to that. So we will see.
