Charles Barkley said it best, never question a guy if he says he's injured. That's how careers are cut short. It sucks for us but every team deals with injury. We've just been lucky through the years not to have been hit with injury as bad as we've been hit this season. That being said I think Petro get a start tonight.

Enough blame to go around for everyone today, mainly the Defense but what's the old saying? Defense wins championships and the 9res D showed up when it counted. Our D was spotted with a 17 point lead and lost it by the 2nd quarter.

It's Atlanta, this city only responds to a winning team with a super star. Falcons went through it for decades even when Deion was with the falcons. Hawks better take a page out the Falcons recent playbook for success with the fan base. ASG needs to sell the team to someone who is committed to winning. Notice I said someone and not a group or corporation because they never have a clue about running a Pro franchise. Let the new owner tear this whole mess down and start all over and bring in respected personel from around the league and do whatever you gotta do to bring in a super star weather it draft or FA and win 50+ games a season and make a run in the playoffs. None of that win 4-3 first round and get swept in the 2nd. If the hawks can't do that then you're going to keep seeing the same product you've seen the last 5 seasons. I remember the Magic became a power house in the 90's just through the draft and other teams as well. Hawks gotta do better when drafting also. Do those things and the kids (some adults) will start rooting for the home team and become life long Hawks fans. Or maybe thats just how I see it.

Seasons not over yet but I'm going to agree so far that Nets are winning this deal not getting Howard. Howard won't be the same until next season at the earliest. Had no idea that back would give him the problems it's been giving him.

Defended Josh all season saying let's see how he plays with this group of players and so forth. This was his chance to show what he can do as the marqee name on the roster. Time has come to either move Josh or fire Drew and bring in a coach that can reign him in and has no problem benching him or you just blow this whole thing up and start over.

Hawks have always been bad in attendence. I have no reason as to why Philips isn't drawing fans especially when we're off to a good start and stubhub has great prices for seats in the arena. There really are no excuses for hawks fans that are within 30 mins of the arena to not show up. All I can do is worry about me and show up. I'll be there tonight against Charlotte Section 110 Row E and I'll be there Saturday night against Golden State representing my Hawks as I've done all season.

I for one never cared if people showed up or not but last night I even shook my head at all the empty seats. The 300 level along the baseline of the Hawks bench was virtually empty. I think its like 4 sections on that side and it may have been 50-100 people up there and I'm nice with those numbers. Those seats were $1 last night on various ticket sites but who am I to tell someone how to spend their money. Just wish fan's would show up and apparently so does the tv networks.

Yep 2 more wins and the road to the super bowl goes through the dome. I think this is the year we finally get a playoff win.

Gonna keep it simple, we should have won that game but the hawks have problems putting teams away when their up late. It's an early season loss that I hope doesn't come back to bite us at the end of the season. This team has needed a TRUE center for far to long that's it's become sad and comical that the front office won't address it and Smith didn't box out Gee on that last play.

Great for the players themselves to get some pt but as a Hawk fan I don't expect them at all to ever play real minutes for us. Problem is and I'm going to sound like a broken record saying this...Hawks NEVER develop young guys unless there is an injury in the roster. I understand Ferry is trying to change that but I'll believe that when I see it.

I think it's crazy to be fined for resting your players. If Stern doesn't want this happening then don't make crazy schedules were one team hasn't played in 4 or 5 days and the other team is playing their 4th game in 5 days. I have no problem with "Pop" sending his players back to San Antonio. Miami should be fined for almost losing that game.

Hawks are playing good ball granted its early. I just hope come April we're still at the top of those stats.

I agree, I love this team as well. Alot of people here complain about the players here mainly smoove but it is what it is. I've seen alot of bad hawks teams in the last 15 years and this team is not one of them.

I go to more then Half the home games and I plan my time off from my job to go to Orlando to see them play since i have family in Jacksonville. Tix are very cheap if you dont have season Tix. If you think last night was bad then go to a game on a weekday. I dont know many Hawks fans but 1 other person and I would love to meet some of you guys in person at Philips sometime, maybe have a beer at RED inside the arena and talk hawks. I'll be in Philips all through this homestand. We can show em there are real hawks fans in ATL. Go Hawks!

Not sure how the game played on TV since I was at philips last night. From what I saw I love Teague and Harris provided good minutes and Lou is not a PG. Horford was horrible late from the line but played great overall. Smoove had a deceptive 25 because in person it seemed liked he missed everything but I give him credit for having a monster game even though he was shooting J's late. Korver was the man late. Arena came alive with 3:00 to go in the 4th and went crazy when Korver hit the 3 in OT. Good win but next time lets put a team like Washington away when it shouldnt have been close.

Went to last night's game also. I was in 210. The game was snooze until midway through the 4th. Laughed how the whole arena screamed NOOOOOO!!!! everytime Smoove shot the ball in the 4th lol. The crowed came alive with about 3:00 left in the 4th and so Korver. Good win.

I like how he is playing also. I love how aggressive he is playing and attacking the rim. It seems the past couple games he looked to find the open guy as before creating for himself

Great win. Just saw the hi lights on nbatv since I missed the game. Hawks bench out scored Portland bench and had more fast break points, glad to see the hawks pushing the ball. My only ptoblem is Jj Hickson had 19pts and a field day on the glass. Hawks gotta close up that paint. Other then that, great road win.

Sad that his name is even out there as a possibility. If LD fails then we need to convince a proven respected head coach to come here.

I'll take JT body language if it means 20+ points and 10+ assist a night.
