  1. Someone had to go as the falcons had hardly any money free to sign this upcoming draft picks so out goes Clabo and in comes the youth.
  2. NEVER switch teams. When you do that you're just as bad as those Heat, Thunder and Lakers fake fans who jump ship when their team is bad.
  3. NBA doesn't re seed. Once you're seeded where you are then you're there throughout the playoffs. 1, 8, 4, 5 seeds are in the same bracket as 2, 7, 3, 6 are in the same bracket. It's set to where if the tops seeds wins their series then the top seeds would play the lowest seed in the conference in the next round having the 1 seed play 4 seed, 2 seed plays the 3 seed and so forth having the top 2 teams play in the conference finals if they advance. I think the only league that re seeds is the NFL.
  4. Falcons make a great move bringing Osi here cause I was worried after they cut Abraham what we do about a pass rush. Abraham slowed down over the years and Osi didn't play many snaps last year as well but I feel Osi is better upgrade.
  5. It' bad everywhere, just gotta go somewhere where crime is less prevalent. I grew up on the west side of Atlanta and my apartment was broken into while I was at work and I knew I needed to move after that. Moved to West to Douglasville and when I married I moved even further west to Temple which is right next to Villa Rica and about 30-40 minutes from Atlanta.
  6. I want to say both Smoove and Drew are gone but If they keep one it'll be Drew. Personally I hope both are gone and Ferry convinces Van Gundy to come here because Atlanta hasn't had a coach who can teach the game commanded respect since Lenny Wilkens. Lon Kuger, Terry Stotts (I believe Stotts took over after Kuger, correct me if I'm wrong) Mike Woodson and Larry Drew are all guys who remind me of most high school coaches who throw the ball out in practice and run the same 2 sets over and over. Time to get a RESPECTED name in here.
  7. I admit I was one of those people who thought when JJ was shipped out that this team was headed back to the Jason Terry, Shereef Abdul-Rahim days where we couldn't buy 20 wins in a season. Reason being I had no idea who would be the primary scorer or go to guy, I hadn't seen enough of Jeff Teague or didn't believe in his play, I can't trust Smoove etc etc etc, just didn't see it where we going before the season. But I'm glad I was wrong and but it's still a lot of work that needs to be done with team but I'm glad I can say the Hawks are playoff while getting rid their best player in JJ and trying to make parts fit to improve because truthfully JJ was a great player for us and he helped us get out the bottom of that East and I'm not mad at him for taking the money because any one of us would have took it but his style of play didn't fit with the players we had anymore and I believe we'd already peaked with him and couldn't go any higher then the 2nd round of the playoffs so it was time to move on.
  8. No OTA/Digital TV for the hawks. You're either gonna watch em on Fox Sports South (Comcast/Satellite) or NBA League Pass if you don't live in the Atlanta market. I got rid of Satellite 2 years ago and I connect my laptop to my HDTV and watch the hawks play on firstrow on TV that way.
  9. I'm in. I've never done a meet up with you guys so it would be a first for me. I would need 2tix
  10. Not even sure what to think after tonight. Hawks should have won this but sometimes a team wants it more and the hornets were that team tonight. Hornets had all the momentum for after they were down double digits and their bench showed up big in the second half. Not sure how many turnovers the hawks had as a team but there were very nonchalant with the ball tonight. Every time I looked up the ball was rolling off someones leg or foot.
  11. 1. Tom Brady- His career speaks for itself, if he's not playing in a super bowl he's in a AFC championship game almost always 2. Aaron Rogers- He started slow this season and his team still won it's didvision because of him 3 Joe Flacco- You can hate him but he shows up in the playoffs where it counts. 4. Peyton Manning- To come back the way he did this season and play, I'll take him on my team any day. Make his team better. 5. Matt Ryan- He doesn't have far to go having almost made it to a Super Bowl this season. Has a high football IQ Honorable Mention- Colin Kaepernick might be a gimmick QB but he can throw and run with the best of them. Watch out for his 9ers next season
  12. Looks like the hawks left their offense in the 1st half. Nola's bench has showed up in the 2nd half.
  13. Do any of you guys play online with 2k or you guys just stick to Myplayer?
  14. Don't even know what to think of this Josh Smith mess anymore. We don't even know what Ferry is really doing. Meanwhile Toronto and Memphis are making moves. Lakers made theirs in the off season and we're just sitting there waiting. I'm just tired of the whole mess that is Josh Smith. Trade him or don't. Just make up your mind Ferry and decide what direction this Hawks team is going in.
  15. If you thought it was boring watching the game on tv it was even worse watching it in person. The little kids playing BBall during the halftime was better ball then the Hawks were playing in the first half. Was a good game once the hawks made a game of it. Ref's made bad calls all night and I believe that's why the they didn't call anthing on the last posession of the game.
  16. Couldn't have said it better myself, A.I. is done and even he knows it.
  17. Simple answer. Josh Smith days are numbered in a hawks uniform.
  18. Don't like Rondo as person but I never wanna see someone hurt like this. What's up with all these basketball players all of a sudden tearing their acl?
  19. Kenny makes some good points sometimes and I thinl this is one of those times. I think this shows you how smoove is thought of around the league. Unless Smoove averages 20 a game and plays D like he did early in his career on a consistent basis he'll never make an all star team. After hearing that Kenny Smith said that I'm really interested in seeing what Smooves value is around the league is either by the trade deadline and or off season.
  20. All Star is all popularity, we all know this. That being said I do think the league needs to revamp the voting like MLB did because for lack of a better word most fans are stupid. No way Garnett should be starting. Bosh and Boozer I also question. I do think Horford should at least had been mentioned. I'm one of those people that believe if your team isn't winning then you shouldn't make the All Star team and I'm talking about Irvin when I say that. Smoove will never make one until he stays in the paint. Lamarcus Aldridge is the biggest snub. He consistently puts up numbers. Reminds me of Shareef Abdul Rahim when he was putting up 25 and 10 a night but was never selected because he played for the Vancouver Grizzlies and they sucked horribly then.
  21. I'll give you he would lead us in scoring but we don't need a guy on his last leg in the league. I would rather start all the way over instead of trading for a locker room cancer like Pierce who doesn't have many years left in him.
  22. Only way we should trade for Howard is if he sign's an extension as a part of the trade. If not then no. Rentals is not what we need. And after D12's last season in Orlando and his inconsistent play this season I'm not even sure if he the guy we should want anymore. I know he doesn't fit that Lakers offense and coming back from injury but from what I've seen he doesn't look the Howard of old. I could be wrong but I don't want the next coming of Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill where injury killed their career. I'm starting to lean towards going after Chris Paul.
  23. If Ferry brings a has been like Pierce in here then he's needs to resign yesterday.
