  1. Neither are as bad a defender as you say. And both are BPA IMO which is why I would take them. This is never going to happen though...we won’t be picking 4 too. JJJ and Bamba would be awful though.
  2. JJJ and Bamba would be the dumbest combo to take. Two potential 20 and 10 guys in Trae and Bagley would be too good to pass up.
  3. It definitely could be serious but either way it’s too risky. I don’t even think we’re considering him at 3 any way.
  4. He’s had multiple injury concerns and has proven nothing past high school. No way I’d consider him at #3.
  5. Michael Porter Jr. has canceled his second pro day in Chicago set for Friday due to a strained hip. “There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with him right now," one NBA executive told ESPN.com. "But a conservative doctor could still [be concerned about] what might happen down the road." https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/250189/Michael-Porter-Jr-Cancels-Workout-Due-To-Strained-Hip
  6. Yeah let’s draft based on this ESPN model.
  7. The dude led the nation in points and assists as a 19 year old freshman. Him being the best prospect available is exactly why I want to take him. My top 3 are Ayton, Young and Bagley. And by that logic why did Anthony Bennet go #1 and Giannis went #15? Why did Jimmer go before Klay and Kawhi? Multiple other examples.
  8. No they wont. Two totally did different players. Another not very good comparison. IT averages what 5 apg for his career? Again keep disregarding Trae’s passing ability. And Trae will be even better in the NBA with more spacing. Based on nothing.
  9. How is he an undersized sized SG when he led the nation in assists with 8.7? And Trae averaged 27 points per game...he didn’t ocasionally put some big games because he got hot from 3. Again comparing Trae Young to Louis Williams is a very bad and lazy comparison.
  10. Louis Williams is an awful comparison for Trae Young. Comparing him to undersized SG’s like Louis Williams or Jimmer Fredette like I’ve seen is incredibly lazy. Young has much better passing ability/vision. Trae also has 0.2 DBPM last year at Oklahoma. I don’t think he’s going be an all defensive player but I don’t think his defense is as bad as they say.
  11. I have honestly not seen anywhere that the Hawks will take Luka. I’m thinking Bagley goes #2 to Sacramento unfortunately.
  12. Young was double teamed on 43.7% of touches past half court in his freshman year at Oklahoma, the closest a PG has ever been to that was Stephen Curry at 31.4%. Still posted 27.4 ppg and 8.7 apg as a 19 year old freshman. Plenty of guards around his size have been stars in the league. And whoever said he is slow is 100% wrong.
  13. Because Trae Young literally has the same star qualities and actually has proven it on the court...also doesn’t have any injury concerns.
  14. Exactly who I want. He works out for the Hawks tomorrow. Porter has not proven anything past high school. Way to risky for me at #3.
  15. Schlenk mentioned he’s down to 3-4 guys for the 3rd spots. Hawks have workouts with Trae Young (Tuesday), Mo Bamba (Thursday), Marvin Bagley and Jaren Jackson. Wonder if those are the final guys he’s considering.
  16. I think Ayton and Bagley will go #1 and #2. I doubt the Hawks take Luka and rumors are both Kings and Hawks will pass on him. Trae led the nation in point and assists as a 19 year old freshman. No way I risk Porter who has proven nothing past high school over him. Tier 1 Ayton Bagley Young Tier 2 Bamba Luka Tier 3 JJJ Porter
  17. Draft Trae Young. Biggest star potential and he will create a buzz around the Hawks. Plus having elite playmakers/shooters is the best way to contend.
  18. I’ve seen a lot of their fans want Doncic so I wonder if they’d give up a pick next year. But you’re right the protection would have to be at worst top 3.
  19. #1 scenario Draft Bagley at #3 #2 scenario (If Bagley is gone) Trade #3 for #6 and ORL pick next year - Draft Trae Young
  20. Bagley is a very good ball handler. You’re making things up now.
  21. Bagley only played 10 minutes vs JJJ and Mich St. Only reason he had 4 and 6.
  22. Nope Bagley was 18 as a freshman and Collins was 19 as a college sophomore. And I dont listen to anything ESPN says so that makes your comment irrelevant.
  23. Bagley can’t shoot based on what? He shot 40% from 3 this year. Not too bad for an 18 year old. He has the potential to be a very good 3 point/mid range shooter. Remember how people thought Tatum wasn’t a good defender? I think Bagley’s defense looked worse in Duke’s scheme than it really is. JJJ is the better defender but Bagley can be a decent defender in time. Difference is that Bagley is the superior offensive player and rebounder.
  24. Well let’s see.. Balgley dominated on a loaded Duke team that has potentially 5 first round picks as an 18 year old freshman. JJJ was never dominatant on a less talented MSU team. 21 and 11 as an 18 year old freshman after being hyped as a big time player since he was what 13? In what world does JJJ have a better shot to be a superstar than Bagley.
  25. Bagley is the superior prospect to either Bamba or JJJ. JJJ/Collins are two foul prone bigs...something I don’t like. Plus JJJ screams the next Noah Vonleh to me. Bagley is a potential superstar but I’m starting to get worried he goes #2.
