  1. I disagree with you 100% but I don’t see anything in that post by KB that says anything bad about Trae.
  2. JJJ has a long long way to go before he’s a defensive anchor. Very slim chance he gets that level. Either way defensive anchors aren’t winning you championships these days.
  3. Fredette is an undersized SG...Young is a PG. I think Young’s floor is much higher and believe it’s a bad comparison.
  4. Maybe without Durant but Steph, Klay and Durant is still winning the championship without Draymond.
  5. Well that is silly and not true at all. The fact still remains though that you need elite offensive players to contend.
  6. I get that but what does that have to do with that you need elite offensive players to contend?
  7. What does this even mean? Wiggins isn’t an elite offensive player so why is he being used as an example?
  8. I have no idea itf this account (they keep saying they are) is legit but they’ve been saying some interesting things regarding the Hawks. @nbadraftgod “Yes, the Atlanta Hawks want Trae Young. Yes, they realize he may be there at the #5-8 picks. Yes, they are smart enough to try to see what they can attain by trading down to get him. No, they’re not going to forgo the opportunity to pick him 3rd if they have no trade options.” “Really feel like things are about to get crazy w respect to NBA Draft. Gotta figure there’s going to be some major trades coming here in the next 72 hours, & we got an inkling the Atlanta Hawks (3 1st round picks), Clippers (2 1sts) & Chicago Bulls (lots of cap soda) are players.”
  9. True but he did put up 3.9 rebounds per game this year for Oklahoma.
  10. I agree and I take any inside info from the AJC with a grain of salt.
  11. I don’t mean for his career but in his prime.
  12. If he averages 25+ points, 10+ assists, 4+ rebounds like I think he can then that would easily negate the bad defense.
  13. I do think Trae Young has legit superstar potential.
  14. At best I see JJJ as a 3rd option on a contender. You don’t take that with a top 3 pick.
  15. Trae and Bamba/Bagley for me.
  16. Yep, again like I said you’re ok with being a treadmill team..it’s a fact. And if whoever we pick at #3 has a strong rookie season and Prince/Collins continue to progress? I will love ever minute of it. #3 pick, Collins, Prince, having a top 2019 pick would be ideal for me...and that doesn’t include 19, 30, 34 and any other trade assets we pick up for the 18 or 19 draft.
  17. Yeah I mean the Hawks had only been to the playoffs 10 straight years and didn’t win one game past the 2nd round. Let’s continue to try and build a contender that way.
  18. 99% of NBA fans disagree. Making the playoffs and losing with no shot at contending now or the future. Literally the defintion of a treadmill team was the old Atlanta Hawks. That’s the difference between us. I want to build and contentor and you want to build a treadmill team.
  19. 21 and 11 for an 18 year old is dominant. And just like Tatum at Duke last year his defense isn’t as bad as you say.
  20. Yeah being a treadmill team and losing in the 1st round is so much better.
  21. That’s your opinion which is in the minority. So in reality it was a great move.
  22. Bagley has been hyped since he was 13 (not by ESPN). He then dominated HS since his freshman year, dominated AAU and then dominated his freshman year at Duke. But let’s not take that into account right? People only think he’s good because ESPN says so.
  23. I always liked Wiggins but never loved him. He’s about what I thought he’d be but he seemed to regress this year. Either way just because Wiggins hasn’t improved doesn’t mean Trae and Bagley can’t.
  24. I never thought Wiggins would be a good defender.
  25. No they aren’t and both will continue to improve in the league. LP would help both being a defensive guy.
