1. Zach Lowe:• Our Adrian Wojnarowski blew the doors off the Clint Capela situation just before halftime of the Super Bowl. Houston's on-again, off-again, usually-on willingness to part with Capela is fascinating. The Rockets are 15th in points allowed per possession and 22nd in defensive rebounding. They appear to need a rim-protecting center. As Woj reported, they have telegraphed a desire for another wing -- either directly for Capela, or using assets they get for him.The Hawks are among the teams who have expressed interest in Capela, per Woj. They have talked to several teams about centers. Some of those teams have inquired about John Collins, sources say, thinking the Hawks might be worried about extension talks with Collins in the offseason.Even if those teams are right, the Hawks have shown no interest in dealing Collins on any of the general terms bandied about, sources say. It will be interesting to see how Collins' game evolves if Atlanta really commits to a paint-bound center. (They of course have paired Collins with such players a lot over his career, but none considered potential long-term pillars.) He has extended his range and rounded out his game, but still looks most comfortable on offense as Trae Young's rim-rattling pick-and-roll partner.
2. Hawks record during Collins suspension: 4-21 Hawks record last year when Collins missed the first 25% of the season: 3-14 (Then lost 2-3 games he was on min restriction) Hawks are much better with him...he gives you 20-10 in only 30 mpg on elite efficiency - blocks shots, plays good defense etc. People say trade him for an upgrade but I just don’t see anybody of that caliber on the market. Would not trade him.
3. Bol Bol with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block. Not one team has shot over 40% against Oregon in their first 5 games.
4. Reddish is the best fit for the Hawks. Would fit perfect at the 2 or 3.
5. I like Prince when he’s not trying to be a point forward. Need a secondary ball handler behind Trae.
6. Zions measured 6’5.5” without shoes so he’s closer to 6’7” with shoes.
7. You don’t think Prince-Zion-Collins would work? Especially when you look at teams like the Warriors starting 6’7 Draymond Green at C in the playoffs, Cavs starting 6’10 Tristan Thompson at C, Rockets playing 6’6 PJ Tucker at PF and C etc.
8. Gotta admit Cleveland getting their 4th #1 pick since 03 would make me mad.
9. People comparing to Lebron are ridiculous but have you watched any duke games? He is MUCH more than just a dunker....
10. I don’t see it. I’m not say he’ll average a point a minute but he’s way too athletic with absurd body control and he’s much better handler and passer than I thought. We’ll see though. Maui should be a good test.
11. Zion is averaging a point a minute with a 24 BMP and has looked impactful on both ends. Not sure how it’d only be about ticket sales.
12. Even if he continues to be extremely efficient/dominant while putting up a 24 BPM?
13. Why can’t we start all 3? Honestly feel like Prince/Zion/Collins fits perfectly in today’s NBA.
14. He is big time. He honestly feels like the perfect SG next to Trae.
15. Probably my dream scenario right now (could change) 1. Hawks — Zion Williamson, Forward, Duke Age: 18.4 | Height: 6-7 | Weight: 285 Williamson’s teammate RJ Barrett started the season as the top prospect on our Big Board, but if things continue apace, there’s a good chance he’ll be displaced Williamson himself. The 6-7 forward has been phenomenal to start the season, averaging 27.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 3.0 assists per contest through two games. At just 18 years old, Williamson possesses unmatched athleticism, an impressively high basketball IQ and the ability to generate efficient offense even without a consistent jumper. Pairing him with Trae Young in Atlanta would be a joy. 7. Hawks (via Mavericks) — Romeo Langford, Wing, Indiana Age: 19.1 | Height: 6-7 | Weight: 202 Atlanta could potentially hold two top-10 selections next June, putting the Hawks in position to quickly rebuild a depleted roster. Langford’s off to a slow start from behind the arc, but he has historically appeared to be a projectable shooter for the NBA level. He’d give the Hawks another perimeter scoring threat. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportingnews.com/us/amp/nba/news/nba-mock-draft-2019-duke-zion-williamson-rj-barrett-battle-for-top-spot/iluuw7kwmy3y1eifqkaz7hya0
16. This guy reminds me of Harden. He has massive potential. This draft looks a lot better than I thought. ;t=92s
17. I think Zion fits better at the 4. Prince will be better as a 3 and D guy. Grab Langford with the Mavs pick. Trae / 31st pick or vet Langford / Huerter Prince / Bembry Zion / Spellman Collins / Len Also would be intrigued by Reddish/Barrett and Bol Bol. Trae / 31st pick or vet Reddish or Barrett / Huerter Prince / Bembry Collins / Spellman Bol Bol / Len
