Well when you go to the playoffs 10 straight years and don’t win a game past the 2nd round something got to change. I hope we tank for 2 more years. All comes down to picking the right guys in the draft.

He is literally the only player ever to lead the nation in points and assists and he did it as a 19 year old freshman. He has elite skills (ball handling, scoring, shooting, passing). Even if his numbers dipped in conference play (because of double/triple teams) they were still very good. (27/8/4). His team was awful and they probably win 10 games without him. He’s also gained 12 pounds to try and improve defensively.

Two potential superstar players would be too good to pass up. Bridges could be a solid NBA player but he doesn’t have the star potential like Young...not that I’d be unhappy with him if Trae is off the board.

Trae was double teamed on 43.7% of the time he touched the ball. Next closest was Steph Curry with 31.4% as a Junior. He’s the most heavily guarded player in college history and still led the nation in points and assists as a 19 year old freshman. Think about that for a second.

You realize Trae also led the nation in assists with 8.7 right? Like most that don’t like Trae they totally disregard his passing ability which is elite.

Hawks had no chance at a championship at any time in the past 11 years. This is what you don’t comprehend. And again winning 44-48 games and losing in the 1st round is a losing culture.

Because a lot of teams draft busts. And you clearly keep thinking that’s what the Hawks will do because you’re upset theyre tanking. You love both Doncic and JJJ. What if the Hawks grabbed Doncic at 3 and then traded up for JJJ? JJJ, Collins, Prince and Doncic...do you still think the Hawks will be a bottom 5 team for the next 5-6 years? And even then that’s 5-6 top picks to pair with those 4 above.

This is all based on nothing other than your pessimistic views because you’re upset the Hawks are tanking. Collins + Prince + #3 pick + #19 pick + 2019 pick + 2020 pick could = best Hawks team in franchise history. No one knows.

Anthony Davis is a top 5 player in the league IMO. And you expect that at #3? It’s possible (unlikely) but not sure why you’d expect that. And I believe Bagley, Young or Doncic have superstar potential but they don’t need to lead us as rookies...Hawks will still tank next year.

So you have to get another Anthony Davis at #3 for it to be a successful pick? And what would losing in the 1st round again have gotten us?

Philly will be a championship contender very soon with Simmons and Embiid. (barring injuries) Not sure how you can deny that. And Pelicans without Cousins at least took a game off the Warriors. Lebron and the Cavs couldn’t even do that. Like i said I would still take both of those team over any Hawks team in the past 11 years. They at least have a superstar player that they got thanks to tanking.

Well Davis is only 25 and Embiid is only 24 years old...pretty sure Lebron/Curry didn’t have any championships at that age. Two superstars thanks to what? Oh that’s right tanking. And I would take their teams coming up over any Hawks team in the past 11 years. If we’re lucky we can draft a player of that caliber some day...hopefully tommorow.
