  1. Yeah I just don’t see it as a winning move. JC is the 2nd best player when healthy so Im not a fan of limiting his minutes which limits his overall impact especially for someone a lot of ppl doesn’t think is a winning player. Tying up for 50m at one position for the next 4 years is not a good use or money either. Randle off the bench won’t help this team win games. If hawks had someone like O’Neale on the Jazz who’s starts bc he’s good defensively but not much of a scorer then maybe you try Randle behind him when you need scoring but not a great fit here when we have JC. I still hope Jalen Johnson can be the backup 4 as well.
  2. Simmons just can’t play with Capela. Two non shooters won’t work in this era and I don’t know how you play a guy who doesn’t score outside of the paint at SF. Simmons imo works best at PF and he needs 4 shooters next to him at all times or the paint will be clogged. And Irving + Trae doesn’t make much sense.
  3. Wiggins is playing with a bunch of HOF’s. And Wiggins is still not some big player either just bc he’s had some good moments in the playoffs.
  4. So why wouldn't the Knicks not just make him the 2nd option? Randle is the type of guy that needs the ball in his hands. Poor shooters with bad efficiency are not good off the ball. Randle literally had a -9.4 ON/OFF. Knicks were significantly better when he’s on the bench which I’m pretty sure back up the eye test. That’s why Knicks fan want him gone. Randle/Lavine combo to me would be awful. Not interested in surrounding this team with expensive one way players who don’t elevate their team.
  5. But you really want to pay him that much to come off the bench? His numbers are going to go down a lot in that role and is that really worth 25m a year? He’s played 36/37 mpg last 2 years. JC does not need in even a more expensive backup taking his minutes.
  6. You base this off nothing. Randle is a really bad contract and not an impactful and absolutely would not be close to the 2nd best player. You think if he was this good, Knicks fans wouldn’t be begging to get rid of him. Ppl need to stop looking at counting stats if they think he’s this big time player.
  7. I mean Randle had his best year in that system too, still wouldn’t touch Randle with a 10 foot pole. One of the worst fits I can think of.
  8. 35th in assists yet he ranks 12 in the league in turnovers. 5.1 assists with 3.4 turnovers per game is not very good. 20.1 ppg on 17.3 shots per game this year 41/33 splits not good either. And he’s a poor defender, poor attitude. Raptor had him one of the least impactful in the league.
  9. Randle is not a good defender or shooter at all and not worth close to his contact. Gallo is at least expiring. He’s not good off the ball either and horrible attitude. Would not touch Randle with a 10 foot pole.
  10. Yeah bc average players are averaging close to 19/9 on elite efficiency last 4 years like Collins is. Nba is littered with them.
  11. Dipo hasn’t even been good recently... he only had 1 good game (against the hawks) Last 10 games: 21 ppg 40FG% - 30 3pt% - 51 TS% Now take out the hawks game & he’s at 20 ppg 37FG% - 27 3pt% - 48 TS% Plus he’s missed 9 of the last 21 games Rockets have played.
  12. Collins will be matched. Lavine is terrible defensively & is a bad fit next to Trae.

Culver shot under 30% from 3 & 46.2% from the FT line. Not many wings let alone good wings in the nba struggle that bad from the line. Reddish was at 80.2% and Hunter at 76.4% in comparison. For a guy that had shot concerns coming out of the draft....his value isn’t close to the 6th pick.

Edwards averaged 19/5/3 as an 18 year old freshman so I’m confused how he didn’t put up numbers? His efficiency all stems from his 3 ball but his shot isn’t bad at all to me. I don’t see anyway Edwards puts up those numbers with no handle. Secondary playmaker (he isn’t a bad passer) & your last part is what they said about Trae too - they played on horrible teams where they had to do everything day 1.

He isn’t Trae but Trae is a generational offensive talent. But it’s been said Hawks want a secondary playmaker. They don’t won’t Trae taking up ALL the usage (give him more energy on D & he’s elite c&s from 3) & remember the offense fell of a cliff when was off the court.

I watched Reddish shoot 35% at Duke & the guy was playing winning basketball in the 2nd half of his rookie season. Think it’s crazy to write off Edwards & say it will take him multiple years to play winning basketball. Also remember he was the #1 guy at UGA - day 1 & he’s the same age as most HS seniors. Watching his highlight tape the guy was constantly double teamed with the lack of talent UGA had. Ppl were expecting him to be an efficient, defensive beast all while being the high usage guy (30%+) on a horrible team/coach day 1 he steps on the court? I think if he goes to a blue blood he’d of been more efficient & their weren’t be as many talks about if he can play winning basketball or not. Bigger nba court + secondary role + more talent around him & I think he plays winning ball sooner than you think. Also i disagree heavily that he can’t dribble. In fact I think it’s the opposite & he has an elite handle for a 2 guard. One of the big reasons I like him.

    20-21 - 34 M 21-22 - 36 M 22-23 - 37.6 M 23-24 - 39 M And he is a combo forward & we already have one in year 2 in Hunter & obviously Collins plays the 4. He doesn’t fit at all & like I said he his value is negative because of his contract. It’s not even worth entertaining....

Yeah Tobias Harris is a negative contract & Philly would need to attach value to get rid of him.

I’d be shocked. Wouldn’t be suprised if Edwards averaged more next year as a rookie than Henzoja does his whole career.
  20. I want Cam starting too but I like his skill set better at the 3. Not seeing anyone saying Hawks should build around Huerter just find it weird that you act like he’s topped out already. That was the point of my comparisons btw..... Korver could not shoot/score off the dribble & did not have the passing ability of Huerter. I hope not outside of an overpay as he’s the only guy on the team besides Trae that averaged more than 2+ apg & one of the better shooters on the team. I think this is a big reason why has been the starter next to Trae....problem is more on the other side imo.
  21. Yikes, the point of my post is to not write off Huerter yet because he didn’t make serious improvement in year 2 of his injury riddle short season.... not that he’s going to be the next JJ. Another player with similar stats is Middleton who was a 12/4/2 on - 54 TS% with a worse BPM in his sophomore yr at 22 yrs & not too long ago....And no not saying he’s the next KM. Also in the Hawks first 40 games (8-32 start) they were dead last in the nba in ORTG & by far the worst shooting 3 point team in the league. When the offense improved in last 26 games theHawks went 12-14. Hawks don’t need to be just thinking of defense next to Trae.
  22. He shot 6 3pointers which was 2nd on the team & 50th in the nba. Not sure where you’re getting he doesn’t shoot open 3’s. Don’t really care about FG% & you act like a younger player asked to be more aggressive is uncommon. Year 2: Joe Johnson - 10/3/3 - 47 TS% (21 yrs) Kevin Huerter - 12/4/4 - 54 TS% (21 yrs) Kyle Korver - 11/4/2 - 59 TS% (23 yrs) Reddick was playing 8 mpg as a 23 yr old sophomore....didn’t break out until 25 yrs old..... Also my ideal world has Huerter coming off the bench so not sure what you’re talking about there. Sorry it’s hurts you that I think he has a higher ceiling than you do.
  23. Huerter only has 17% usage & shoots more 3’s than 2’s + he’s a guy that tries to get everyone involved. Would like to see him get to line more for sure (& i do think he has potential in that area to improve) but not that a huge of surprise on that stat.......just would not write off a 21 yrd old that was injured most of the season averaging 12/4/4 on 54 TS% because he didn’t make a huge leap in year 2. If he was mid-late 20’s obviously with more experience + still wasn’t improving then I would 100% agree & be concerned.
  24. His ppg, rpg, apg were up - he had higher TS%, BPM etc. Not sure how he didn’t improve even if it was just a little in each category & of he got off to a slow start because of injuries. He’s still inconsistent but it’s not a surprise that a 21 yr old who had less than 60 career starts coming into the season (with arm/leg injuries) is inconsistent. Won’t be a star but still think Huerter is the type that will keep improving every year & be very valuable player in his prime.
