  1. Who are the quality players to build around? Our first round pick? I maybe can give you Diaw, but he isn't a player to build around. He is a role player that could develop into an above average starter. No one to build around. Your first round pick who do you put around him, another pick. The problem with rebuilding with draft picks they don't win. Look at the Chicago Bulls for proof. Did you go on their board and say they were a genius for clearing cap space and getting young guys to build around. No. Let's not bring up Hansen. He isn't anything special. Not to mention no one of any significance is going to sign here. You may get the average guy that thinks he is a star to sign. Which we will overpay for. But, it won't do anything to improve this organization. We will end up like the Bulls. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment for caring about this team. P
  2. Because that 18 to 22 pick they picked up is going to make a huge difference, Right? And there are no guarantees they are getting the #1 pick, and if they did how do you know this pick is going to turn the organization around. What if he is the next S. Bradley, K. Brown, etc.? But to some Hawk fans this was a good move. Time will tell. What you can't argue with is the fact that even with Wallace the team would be competitive. So what if he walked at the end of his contract we would be in the same situation we are in now. But at least we would have a little respect. Oh forgot we get Milwaukee's pick. Yippee. P
  3. Does it matter if he plays or not. Not to B. Knight. I think he would trade for 5 players in wheelchairs that were in the last year in their contract. P
  4. None of those guys can carry the Hawks for upcoming years, unless there was some superstar next to them. Otherwise, they are just going to contribute to the losing ways in Atlanta. P
  5. Maybe this team would be NIT eligible. The sad thing is this could probablly be said over the next couple of years as well. Knight better have some trick up his sleeve this off season. P
  6. It's also hard to rebuild a team when no one wants to come here because we tanked a season to try and get a lottery pick. Yes, money is attractive but come on the real superstars aren't going to just sign for the sake of money. Q. Rich or Crawford (Bulls) may sign but is that something that gets you excited? Not me. P
  7. Well the good thing will be is that we will have enough money to resign Crawford before someone else does. P
  8. At least we got hope. But, I wouldn't hold my breath. Because they might not be any good to 3004. At least then maybe you can channel into the franchise for a look at what a good team may look like. P
  9. Well I'm glad someelse can see the light on this site. I will still pull for this pathetic team. Knight has destroyed us with this trade. Thanks. P
  10. That doesn't shock me. We are morons for thinking that Knight is a good GM. P
  11. I hope you are right. I'm glad you are so confident that a mid 1st rounder and JT will get a us a lottery pick. I don't think it will happen since everyone was banging down the door for JT this past offseason. P
  12. Yeah the bad joke is the Hawks organization. Anyways I wish B. Knight would tell me what good a Milwaukee lottery protected pick does us. They think throwing games is a good way to go to secure the high school saviour. That's what we are putting our faith in, because we can't put our faith in free agents since none of any significance will sign here. P
  13. He will be gone in the summer, more like September when his BYC is gone. P
  14. Even if the Hawks finish with the worse record, I would be willing to be that they still don't get the first pick. Because the lottery will screw us. That is the Hawks luck. Bad GM's and bad luck. P
  15. Maybe you can scalp them and only have to give up 10 bucks when you get rid of them.
  16. Yeah Knight is just dumb, he can say all the cleches he wants, but he better get a headliner in here in the offseason or guess what all we will be is a bad team with a lot of cap space that no free agents want to play for. Then we will need another new ownership to move this team out of the city. P
  17. I still don't think Detroit is going to be representing the east in the finals with this trade just my opinion. I actually like the Hornets. But, who knows. I think it is not a given the Pistons are going to the finals. P
  18. I may agree with you on that one. But the teams below the Hawks are just as bad. Maybe the Bulls pass the Hawks. P
  19. There's no guarantee that we will have a top 3 pick, we are still behind the Suns, Bulls, Wizards and Magic. I wouldn't be so quick to think those guys are going to pass in wins. P
  20. and you cry about Reef being gone from the team, but guess what he won't be leading the Blazers to the playoffs either, so he will be stuck with that label another year I guess you don't watch much NBA analysis, because anything you turn that talks about Sheed considers him a top 15 player. You just don't want to admit, because Reef doesn't get the same consideration. Yes, I like Reef. I just can admit when someone is better. And no I don't think Kobe will sign here. Especially now who would want to come here. No one. Maybe Reef in the summer of 2005. P
  21. Free agents want to come to a team with promise and that could be up coming. With Wallace gone this does nothing for winning in this town. And like I have stated in the past. Yes, it has been said Wallace is going to NY. But, winning changes everything, as well as money. Do you thing Sheed turns down a bigger contract with Atlanta to go to NY. With also the promise of having more money to spend on Free agents and a top 15 rookie coming in. He may still go to NY, but other Free agents may still find it attractive to be here to replace Wallace. Some free agents may see it is possible to win after they may have seen what Wallace did in Atlanta. Instead all anybody is going to see is team of a bunch of scrubs. This is horrible. I just love the Hawk fans that think losing is good. I'm sorry I like to see my team win. P
  22. I understand that. I have no problems understanding that. I like to see this team win, not lose. Also, I don't think we are going to finish worse than the Suns, Magic, and Wizards. Possiblly the Bulls. They will all finish worse than us, so what does that do for the team nothing. So keeping Wallace wouldn't affect our draft position that much considering we won't finish worse than those teams anyways. P
  23. who on the current roster is better Play? No one. So you are saying that Wallace doesn't bring credibility for a team, your on drugs. It's a consenus through out the league he is considered a top 15 player in the league. That's credibility to me. P
  24. Let's hope your right Zachary. Because I would much rather watch Wallace play with the guys we have then NBDL players. Which is what we will be stuck with the next two years and there is no guarantees that Howard or Smith or Okafur is the next LeBron. Well, let me answer that for you. They aren't. I know you don't post a lot, but let's hope you aren't whining when no FA wants to come here and the record is horrible and none of our draft picks pan out. P
  25. I totally agree JT Fan. The laughing stock. Nice work you piece of S&*^ Knight. P
