  1. Diesel called Dennis a star!
  2. At least two of them were offensive fouls, which one could argue about...
  3. At first I thought, "W. Young" ??? did we sign another player? lol
  4. Not to mention all the bricked wide open threes he created... Budball died when Korver was injured. No reliable 3 point shooting after that...
  5. But even if his game looks improved at the moment, let's not forget he only played four games this season so far. That's a far too small sample size to start celebrating his improvements
  6. IMHO Dennis has improved some things what could make his game much more valuable. Before this season he forced passes (turnovers), he forced the drive to the hoop (more turnovers under the basket and lots of blocked shots) and it seemed he wasn't to be able to adjust the tempo of his game and went 100% all the time. This year it seems he knows about his strength and more important about his flaws. He shot a lot this season so far but there haven't been many ill advised attempts and he stopped driving into well defended lanes all the time. Example: When we played Charlotte he looked for his midrange shot but as soon as Dwight went to the bench he successfully attacked the basket. Let's hope he keeps playing focused and doesn't fall back into old habits. If he can do this consistantly this season and works on his off ball defense after that he could be an All Star in 2019... If...
  7. Don't tell me, tweet him...
  8. Dennis sitting at home crying... But at least he can do whatever he wants now in the court (what isn't best for bis development)
  9. Haha I really love these random made up stats. 1st player ever to average 2 steals and a three between 10:12 and 08:45 in the 4th qtr over a span of more than 4.53 games while wearing white shoes with blue ties
  10. FAncy and two trades. Good coaches will adjust style of play to the players they have and try to use their stregths... not the other way around... At least you don't have to quote yourself today ;-) BTW. I'm looking forward to see the Hawks play again tonight. You know, having fun while watching hoops is what me makes watching it... Let's get that 2nd win!
  11. LOL nobody commenting your post for hours so you had to do it yourself. ROFL
  12. 35 wins, 8th seed and conference finals Edit: 3.1 a/t
  13. Actually Dennis improved the usage of his mid range game a lot last year and took more shots from 10ft-3pt (342 shots) than from behind the arc (337). The years before your point would have been right 2015/16 10ft-3pt (209 shots) and >3pt (274) His percentage improved for all distances, despite playing better competition as a starter For a closer look: Dennis' shooting numbers 2015/2016 Dennis' shooting numbers 2016/2017
  14. They are all the fruits of Bud's balls? WOW
  15. His answers are inconsistent. He said he wouldn't come to the NBA as a 3rd stringer but the time he wanted to join the Hawks first, Jeff and Dennis were our point guards. Di he really believe to outplay one of them or was he already told that Hawks would part ways with one of them (what I doubt). So for me it seems he is completely okay with being a 3rd point as long he gets paid. EDIT: It seems I first read this he wouldn't come back for being a third string or the league minimum, so that's my fault and he is completely okay if it's only one of this two options
  16. Everybody would love to get a late 1st for Baze and his salary... Unfortunately I doubt anybody wants to do it the other way around...
  17. For everybody who didn't see the game, here is a higlight vid a little longer than the one on nba.com
  18. I don't judge players after two preseason games, but Baze has to get his sh*t together. Man I really hope that dude manages to live up to his contract or at least to half the amount he gets! And I still don't like the fact he plays SG. I think the Hawks would look that much better with a capable 3-pt shooter beside Dennis. Now the help defender can always stay close to Dennis because he knows as long as Baze has no clear path to the rim, he is no problem. Not a good thing to have your main scorer potentially doubled every possession, just because your shooting guard can't shoot...
  19. Yes I got this after posting the topic (and I think I hid the topic) but there will be at least one all star learning how the fat guy in school felt when he was selected last...
