That's an issue only a really superior basketball mind can recognize. I'm deeply impressed and have to admit that no ordinary basketball fan would have been able to sum up our team's needs that elaborately.

Every player should be motivated in the playoffs by the dream of winning a chip. But there are some problems which are counter productive. League allows to create super teams, so it's really a longshot for a team not from CLE, GS or SA to even dream of going to the finals at the moment. Hard cap instead of a million exceptions could help there League even seems to help sometimes with their refs if super teams are struggeling and to "protect the star players" what sometimes looks more like "we'll give you a FT every time an opponent is nearby and they will learn to let you score at will, so you can become or stay a superstar", It doesn't help motivation to play 5 vs 8 Since players know how unrealistic it is to win it all if not on a super team, they learned about the motivation they can get on every team - money. So they learned it's okay to lose as long as they get paid. And when this is your main motivation things like Al did last year happen. No hustle all season let alone the playoffs... Avoid a injury at all costs, new contract incoming...

We only had a chance to win because we got tons of FTs and the Wiz had foul trouble all night long and at the end they throw the game away. Don't think we get that many calls again and I really have no idea how to keep a game vs the Wiz close without them. That's why I'm very pessimistic about not getting swept... I thought Dennis light a fire with that statement dunk to close the gap in the fourth but nope... Buds rotations will always look awkward to me... And don't pay Sap a single Dollar more than $66M for 3 yrs... Don't pay THJ more than $60M for 4 yrs... If you can't get something for Baze in the offseason, give him until next all star break to recover otherwise trade him for nothing and even throw in a 2nd if necessary...

Didn't see the game but like it when a coach questions refs if he thinks refs were wrong. But I'm not able to follow his argumentations because his numbers may ignore the fact that not converted FGA on fouls aren't counted and I guess that's why his numbers could be misleading. But maybe he has better stats than the official ones. IDK... On the other hand number of shots isn't necessarily important for number of fouls at all if maybe one team just is able to alter shots better without fouling...

By the way you know how they count FGAs? They don't count not converted shots on fouls. Sap had a lot of free throws... So I would guess you can add about at least 3 to 4 attempted shots... By the way Dennis not only lead the team in FGA and FGM, but alos in PTS, 3PT%, FT% and Steals and he outrebounded at least Sap. There are a lot of things Dennis could improve at. Most important is to become more consistent. But question his career playoff abilities after this specific game is ridiculous and looks like something some creatures from fairy tales might do...

This was really strange... Like a dog laying down in his back... There he really showed he isn't an alpha. That's one problem of this team, no natural leader and Dennis won't get this role until Sap leaves. So Sap seems to think he is a leader and he may be the best player but he hasn't the heart to be a leader. But Bud seems to want to have the control and doesn't want a player to be a leader, that's why he humbles and benches Dennis sometimes. That also may be a reason Bud peaked with a team full of Betas...

I get the hate when Dennis turns the ball over a lot, but he didn't. His numbers outside of his +/- looked actually quite good. How can he be the only reason for his +/- in this case? By the way Sap looked worse before the comeback run... He got his chance to recover... Outside of the comeback my highlight of the game was Ehen Kyrie crossed over CAVs fans already cheering but Dennis didn't really bite in the crossover and blocks the shot. I hope this is a sign for Dennis playing defense on the level he did previous season during playoffs

I like the concept of drafting because it is a way to prevent the biggest teams from getting all the good youngsters and helps minor markets (by the way my favorite soccer club plays in the 3rd division in Germany...) but I really really hate the concept of tanking. Only Americans love winning so much so that they agree to lose on purpose, only to get a very small chance of winning it all....

I have the feeling every loss will raise his demands... So he became much more expensive recently...
