  1. Maybe you should invite some additional guests, make sure they want to see the game bofore inviting them. Then let them ask to switch on the game on TV muted at least. Which host would decline that request if the majority of the guests ask for it...
  2. By the way, Dennis equaled a rare career high tonight. Zero turnovers And this bazeGaze by Dwight and Baze doesn't like like they have off court issues
  3. I started voting at Christmas...
  4. It's a little late to start voting now. Ballot is already open 4 a while. You should also use as many ways as possible to vote (NBA.com, twitter...) several times a day. But after last years' results I'm quite sure ATL will never get a starter. Since Dennis isn't everybody's darling in Germany don't expect anything like Zaza's country men were trying to do for him...
  5. Dirk left much money on the table more than once. Cuban about the last negotiations (from a German sports web site): Translation: Cuban said that Nowitzki's longtime mentor Holger Geschwindner had called for numbers in negotiations, and the club offered an even higher sum. Additionally his contract has a team option for the 2nd year to give the Mavs flexibility... But yeah the Dirk & Dallas connection is something really special. It's nothing you can expect from a player.
  6. Didn't know about this yet. What would Hawks have gotten in return? "Wants to finish the job" doesn't sound like a future commitment to my ears
  7. I haven't read everything in this crazy thread but I want to mention some things Dwight gets 7.2 post touches a game that's 3rd most in the league - how many post touches should he get? Wasn't he crying about not getting enough post touches in Houston? He got 8.4 per game there. Most in the NBA... If he gets great position at the rim opponents also know that he shouldn't get the ball and pack the passing lanes. Sometimes his teammates try to force feed him regardless, what often leads to (partially horrible) turnovers If he gets a miss match somebody else has to have one too, so D8 isn't necessarily the best scoring option in such cases And actually the often mentioned eye test shows that he really doesn't has that much post moves and a little better passing out of a double team under the rim could help too Maybe his good FG% shows that he gets exactly the touches he should? Maybe his team mates and his coaches know how to utilize him better than you? The only touches a can see him getting additionally are half of the possessions where the ball is turned over while force feeding him. The other half of this possessions should be used otherwise because he simply isn't available for the pass. So his shots may go up 1-2 per game and his scoring 3-4 pts a game, this would be an optimal utilization of him IMO
  8. I also noticed the things you mentioned and want to add these two guys seem to be the biggest homers in the league...
  9. The guys on the Dallas feed were talking about there are rumors Dennis not being liked by some/the veterans in the locker room. I've never heard something like that before. Does anybody know something about it?
  10. It would be to funny if we get Horford back for Sap and then in the first meeting Bud will tell him: "I told you you only will get a 4 year deal here. Denny and I had a good laught when we planned this in the off season"
  11. If we tank Dennis will be embarrassed and angry, He will be pissed about signing a relative low contract - what players do to play on at least good teams, but not to play on teams in tank mode. Dennis is ambitious and would hate it to play for a scrub team.
  12. If Bud only would have listened to lots of us and use Kyle as a 6th man since last season... This would have fitted his age with decreased minutes and his defensive problems wouldn't have been exposed as much against bench players. Kyle really seems to be a great and loyal person and should have been offered a job as assistant coach after this season. Can anybody think about a better shooting coach? I really doubt it was a good move to sell him for practically the 1st 2nd round pick 2019 I don't know how this will work out. If they send Millsap away for some picks or young players Dwight and Dennis may be embarrassed and angry. Dwight because he get another team than he was offered in offseason and Dennis because he might be pissed about signing a relative low contract, what players do to play on at least good teams but not to play on teams in tank mode. Dennis is ambitious and would hate it to play for a scrub team.
  13. EDIT Disclaimer: thx 2 @Hotlanta1981 for the hint, this indeed is a fake account
  14. Well I guess every player should improve somehow until the age of... ...at least 27. I'm not really able to judge his development in the areas you listed, but getting worse on a shooting guard's main skill istn't a good sign to me. Maybe I misinterpret your [developed] as [developed into something you see as a target of development] while you may write about [developed at least a bit in some areas]
  15. Tim Hardaway Jr had a good game yesterday. But to call a shooting guard who's 3pt % went down every single year in his career is nothing I would call developed
  16. It seems you want to have some more German dudes here at the Squawk
  17. It would be Dennis and poor man's Dennis now...
  18. Greetings from the future. I wish a happy, healthy and successfull year 2017 to everyone here.
  19. Dennis seems to think about yesterday's crowd too lol
  20. Dennis is 3rd in 3pt% but only because shooters are bad atm. Dennis is fast but he may be to slow to catch kickout passes to himself...
