  1. OP is true. To much of US sportsfans have a very corporate mindset and are all about wins, so I wouldnt even go as far as calling them "fans"(fanatics) who go along with the pack against all odds. But thats a mass-psycholigical thing that goes troughout the individualistic/value-driven US society and a thing getting taking over in Europe as well after decades of "globalization" aka export-import of US cultural values. Not that we didnt have those aspects as well, but they co-existed with other values, who are less and less allowed to exist anymore. We now have one corporate mainstream...and it sucks. If u where a workingclass child of the 80's you might understand where Im comming from.
  2. Payton imo is a soft millenial hipster with a nice frame that will be out the league sooner than later. He also can not shoot.
  3. I think those traditional floor generals, who carry themselves well on the court all the time, wear a suit and tie when visiting grandma every sunday, are a thing of yesterday. I have a hard time thinking of someone like that today. Its a different game today. More perimeter oriented. Away from dominant bigs and iso wings. PG's have less time to operate. All star-PG's are scorers today. All of them are cocky and in a sense need to be in that zone to play this game of confidence. OK there is Chris Paul, but where are his rings after all these years and the Clippers suck despite being loaded with talented year after year.
  4. His skillset fits the rest of the offensively talentless Boston roster. He has the green light.
  5. Boston packed the paint. Horf and Sap suffered from that. PG's created allot of missed 3's for others, of which most where "good shots". Both having to do with Boston's gameplan. Its just that Muscala, Bazemore, Thabo or also Dennis are not all that good from there. At least Korver hit a couple...could have used more Korver, but he had fould trouble early.
  6. Boston bullied Sap with Jerebko & Co all game long and so Dennis had to step up to take what the defense gives. And when he does that job, its whining and complaining when tough things dont work out all the time. Maybe the high usage isnt always a Dennis ego thing, but a thing of having not that many options.
  7. Oh Im not suprised. Fanboards say: penetrators spacing-shots not falling = defense bad cuz game sucks. Fanboards say: rebounding good = defense good/tough guy and only not good cuz guy with bad shot, bad penetrating, bad defense is PG. That sort of pitchfork stuff...
  8. Of course it has, to a great extend. If his shots would fall he would have another varaiable in his favor making the game more easy for him, that is true. However they dont, and so that combination with the lack of screens ala Antic/Splitter he isnt getting the space he needs to penetrate effectively. Humpries doesnt have that at all. He's a poor mans David Lee. The Dennis + Al game has been long gone before Dennis really fell of a cliff. Teams are preparing extra for since it was the Hawks most effective set mid-season. However they need to find a way to throw it in to the mix more often at unprepared times and that is on Al's and Bud's shoulder as well. Also show me a stat that his personal defense is bad. Nonsense. Chris f***ing Humpries sucking is now also Dennis's fault. Sure. They didnt mesh from the get-go. Its the other way around.
  9. Think so to. Dennis his succes is very much dependent on the backup center setting good screens and Al Horford's pick-r/p game. Both have sucked since Dennis sucks.
  10. FBI was needed to weed out FIFA. Maybe we Euro's should send some Interpol to weed out the NBA.
  11. doesnt have pep in his step
  12. Is it just me or did I see an astonomous amount of ass ant titties hanging out at the game? Those starstruck females....
  13. with these new vr goggles and sporting leagues already teaming up with them, i hope some mods build in a feature where you can at least pretend to beat reffs up
  14. Dennis puts up those numbers. Lin puts up slightly less in all categories while playing more minutes. Lin is a solid player nowadays imo. After Linsanity and going all out with the lifestyle, he seems to have fallen back on that subdued working ethic many asians have. The mohawk deceives.
  15. You really favor a 50 year old white dude using ebonics and complimenting Drake for his wardrobe? Over Nique? Let that man have his money. He prolly earns more now than in the human-highlight years. Even if he cant do commentary...
  16. Im watching FoxDetroit and they are fingerlicking at our D.
  17. In that situation it was Dennis, then Thabo and Dennis again challenging the Giannis desperation jumber.

How I hate russian oligarch, arab prince, chinese businessman owned clubs. They suck the soul out of clubs. Yes they buy you lots of nice players, but a normal income cant buy a ticket anymore. I'd rather suck.

I also noted that. In soccer any real valuable pass is when you measure space and time as such that your team-mate gets the ball in a position away from where he was when the pass was placed. Best passes are behind the defense and because of the offside-rule the pass has to be measured so that your team-mate can get there first while from a virtually same position as the defense. That makes those passes extremely hard but deadly because they put the team-mate ahead of the last line of defense. That was my specialty a.o at the NEC youthteam(1st Dutch league). My rolemodels where Stojskov, Cantona and Effenberg. I pretended to be a diva just like them(well i had similar thick hams) and rolled out lines like "im making the ball move, so i dont have to move"...to much of the lazy over-confident type cost me a career. But those passes came easy to me. fav teams NEC Nijmegen Feyenoord Rotterdam Hertha BSC Berlin
