  1. Agreed If hawks cant lure superstar talent players, their best chance getting a superstar talent is in draft or in scouting, and develop that player
  2. Well said, totally agree with you, Having superstar doesn't always gurantee winning a championship
  3. "I've pumped the brakes on Bud being anywhere near Pop's league" Bud and Pop, both of them are completely different, Pop been fortunate to have Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Tony parker, and manu ginobili. "we need a talent infusion to keep the system well-oiled" I agree, we'll just have to wait who will be they adding in the team in the future
  4. "but I don't think they can be a elite contending team that can actually get over that hump and actual win it all against other elite contending teams because of the reason of them not having a star. " In my opinion, if you have enough talent in your team without a superstar, and everyone play as a collective unit, then they still have a chance beating teams that have a superstar in their roster. We will still see If Hawks will be able to find a "superstar level" player to add in the team. "if they are taking "time" to build a contender thats not good with our best two players being 30 and 31 next season! " im talking about in 2-4 yrs long run not like a decade that would be really too long lol, if they haven't been a contender team after 5 years or more, then everything just didn't work out, Bud would have been probably fired and the franchise will just look for new direction. "Personally if bud was to start over I have full confidence that if he got a star player to build around it would only take him 2-3 years to have a contender in place...but thats just my opinion " I think Bud will keep his key players , and build around them. Also, I don't think Bud is the only one making all the decisions, im sure he's working with his coaching staffs, and the hawks organization, they decide together what's best for the team.
  5. Adding a Star level player doesn't always mean your team going to win a championship. Looking back last year, Hawks didn't have a star player, they still reached the ECF without Thabo, and Kyle Korver got injured by Delladenova, This year is different, Hawks have a different team, no DMC, they got new players, Tiago Splitter, Patterson, Tim hardaway, and Edy tavares. They have to figure out their identity again with all these new players, then Tiago got injured and had hip surgery, they are missing a backup big, Patterson is having a hard time fitting in and hes not actively part of the rotation, Edy tavares still working his craft in the D-league developing his game. Tim hardaway is feeling comfortable in the rotation, been really consistent, and improving his game. Kyle korver is still finding his rhythm after that surgery he had. A lot of up and downs, but you still have to keep moving forward, and be positive even if your team is having a tough season. I don't think Hawks are against looking for star players level, they tried to sign Joe johnson but he signed with miami heat, I do agree that you need a "go to guy" to be a championship team, but it's hard for Hawks to sign or lure a star player because they haven't been really a contender for a long time. I think the only best chance that they can find a "Star/go to guy" is in the draft or scouting potential undiscovered talent whether in the d-league,college or internationally. Bud is the one who forced Coach Pop to sign Kawhi leonard and trade george hill, so i know he's looking for one for this team. If hit not, then he's probablyy looking average taleneted players that can play in his system. I still believe Hawks can be a contender team even if they don't have a superstar player, If hawks have enough amount of talent, and all players fit in the system and really works well together as a team, then i do believe they have a chance to be a contender team. It will take time and patience to build a contender team. Right now Hawks are in that process building that foundation, developing their players, and finding best ways to work as team effectively.
  6. Good win! Teague's been really locked in, making good reads, and controlling hawks offense. THJ been really consistent, every game ,he's feeling comfortable in the rotation. Even Sap hasnt been scoring much a lot, he still contributed setting screens for his teammates, same with horford, he got going in the 4th qtr. Great team defense, and offense is really flowing when Hawks point guards are doing their job penetrating, making good reads, and finding open teammates, and also there's a lot good cutting, it gives more opportunies in the offensive end when they are active on cutting
  7. well i guess im the only one giving them credit for their efforts, even if they face teams that are not contenders
  8. THey still contributed in other ways, its a team win
  9. Good win, even though D rose and jimmy butler didn't play, Hawks played really well. Teague and Dennis did a great job controlling the hawks offense, penetrating, driving, kick in/out passes, finding open teammates, both of them did that tonight, when they do that, hawks offense flows more, they get more open shots, Defense was really good too, Al and Sap did a great job protecting the paint. On the offensive end they did great too, and also setting screens Thabo was active and made some good layups. Baze was still active, made some turnovers, but he still kept playing hard and made some buckets. Hardaway always consistent, and contributed in the offensive end. Korver knocked down some good open 3s. Overall good team win, i hope they keep doing this consistently.
  10. I even wonder if your a hawks fan lol, iver never seen you posted a single positive post
  11. Well if JJ wants to sign with the heat, just look for another one, there still a lot other options out there, no need to be depressed and gloomy, keep your heads up and keep moving forward
  12. im talking about in the long run, not the current roster right now
  13. Have faith, I know hawks are struggling right now, but they still have a bright future
  14. It's true that Joe would likely to sign with a contender team, he wants to win a championship knowing he's 34, but i still see there's a chance he will sign in Atlanta knowing that Hawks have a different culture now, now that they have coach Bud and have a system in place. Hawks might not be one of those contender teams yet, but they are still working to get to that level, JJ could decide to help his former team, and be a leader/mentor for the team, he's a vet and he has that experience with him.
  15. Yea i could see JJ signing with a team like Cavs, and have a chance to win a championship, but it would be nice if he decides to go back and help his former team, he can be a leader and mentor for them, he's also a vet and he has that experience.
  16. Yea Joe Johnson has size for SF postition, Hawks are interested signing him said by AJC, i don't know if it's a false rumor again though
  17. It's kinda weird most of the Former Hawks players are going back to Atlanta, who's next Zaza?
  18. I really hope he sign with the hawks, He could play that SF position, what hawks just needed
  19. Looking at the schedule, i got a bad feeling hawks will lose a bunch of games knowing how they are playing lately.. I still hope Hawks can still make the playoffs though
  20. Even the hawks lose this game, they showed a lot of good signs especially in the 3rd, that was a great comeback, unfortunately the flow stops in the 4th, Hawks just needs to be more consistent in offense and defense, but the offense is definitely they need to work on the most
