  1. Do you guys think we will trade for Brandon Knight as a backup PG in the off season using trade exceptions? I think he'll be a welcome fit. His shooting has fell off a bit, but I believe Bud and the coaches can get him back up to par. My dream scenario would be to do a three team trade ship Bazemore to the Nets, get Brandon Knight. The Hawks probably would have to give up some picks in that scenario.
  2. I'm pissed about this loss! However, I think the benching was a culmination of a lot of things. Dennis was late coming back from Germany. Dennis was late to the team bus to Orlando. Dennis was the ONLY Hawk missing at a recent Hawk dinner for season ticket holders. I think Bud is trying to let Dennis know that even though he may be the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team and is clearly the future, he needs to be a leader in everything he does and if this loss causes him to realize that then good.
  3. Hope for a superstar in the draft. Is no one interested in Harry Giles? He definitely has superstar potential if he stays healthy. Also, the nets second round pick is VERY valuable, we can get a pretty decent player on a nonguarenteed contract. Probably a backup point or a guy that can score. Trade Bazemore at all costs. Kenny A. please help us out. See if we can go after one of Denver's SF with the cap space. Resign THjr. Resign Milsap - I'm not sure they will resign Sap during free agency. There may be a wink wink deal to get an extension worked out during the season. That way the Hawks will have max cap space to work with during free agency which isn't very much in the first place. Resign Ilyasova Sign Mason Plumlee as back up center Send walking papers to all other free agents, Delaney and replace with young players. - too sleepy to go into all that detail.
  4. Did they take PG or are you spreading misinformation! You need to site sources if you're going to make a statement like Boston took PG. I literally just googled everything to make sure you were just making stuff up.
  5. @JayBirdHawk I lol as soon as I typed it. I just recovered from that SuperBowl. I had to detox from Atlanta Sports for a minute. Then I see the thread about possibly getting PG 13 and I'm all in again. We Atlanta Sports fans are the definition of insanity! Keep rooting for these teams even though they keep crushing us.
  6. That's kind of what the Falcons did when they went and got Julio Jones, but I digress. I really want PG 13. I mean it has to happen after what happened to the Falcons in the Superbowl? The lord will bless us with a star for all our suffering!
  7. I'm going to talk positives, Milsap has been super clutch on game winning/tying shots this year. Although, last nights final shot was missed, he hit the big 3 pointer to tie it up and he's hit a couple of game winners this year!
  8. I never thought I'd EVER say this, but more minutes for Dunleavy? Dennis had a poor game, but let's not act like he hasn't been carrying the Hawks most of the season. You all seem to forget the Hawks had more than 2 days of rest. When was the last time the Hawks have won when they had an extended break under Bud? At the end of the day, tip your hat to Boston, give the middle finger to the refs for not reviewing that goal tend and not calling the foul on THjr in the 4th. The Hawks will get them next time. BTW, GO FALCONS!
  9. Thanks. I think you will hear a lot of things coming out because everyone thinks we are blowing up the team. Just because they were yelling at each other on the court does not mean there is some kind of discourse. I saw KK basically loose it on Dennis this yearfor missing a defensive assignment causing KK to foul the player. No one is saying KK and Dennis hate each other.
  10. Where are you getting this misinformation from? Will you please post a link? Thanks
  11. Now that more details are out, we know that the pick is an 11- 30 first round pick for 2019 and 2020. It can be converted into two second round picks in 2021 or 2022. Anyway you slice it, that is a good deal for an expiring player who we probably weren't going to resign. I'm being objective here. I was a BIG Korver fan, but Cleveland is giving up alot in that trade. It's not like we were waltzing to the title this year (not saying we can't just saying it's highly improbable.).
  12. The Hawks have the options per reading over at Peachtreehoops.
  13. That's with no Kevin Love or Kyrie Irvin in his prime. I believe without LBJ they will probably be one of the 19 best teams in the NBA.
  14. Not trying to be a smart butt, but the last time i checked the number 11 pick is in the lottery.
  15. Protection stays for both years.
  16. I'm not sure if this is posted, but apparently the Hawks 1st rounder for Cleveland is 11-30 pick in the 2019 draft with an option to move to 2020 draft. If you ask me, that's a freaking steal for Korver on an expiring contract.
  17. You guys are mad we gave up 35 year old Kyle Korver for a first round pick? Korver could be resigned in the off season (Most likely not). You should be happy the pick is in 2019. Cleveland may be champions for this season and next. However, in 2019 what if LBJ leaves gets injured or whatever happens and Cleveland is around a 15th pick in the draft? Then this is a steal! We are accumulating assets to possibly move up in the draft or get an impact player from someone. Let's be patient and see how this fully plays out. If anyone thinks that Cleveland, GSW, or SA are not winning the championship this year, then pass me that joint!
  18. You say it's stereotypical comment? What's so stereotypical about his comment? That antagonistic people look at him and his black wife and mixed kids in a strange way? That's probably true. I'm not offended by his comment in the least. It wasn't even insensitive he was probably telling the truth. If he was a black GM and said, I'm used to people being afraid/angry with me because every time I drive in my upper class neighborhood the people there give me strange looks. Not one person would have been offended. It's the same damn thing. BTW, I'm a grown ass black man.
  19. Maybe we are trying to get assets for a bigger trade? I'm just so confused about what's going on.
  20. Eye test? My eye test says yes he can get his teammates involved, but him passing to our ice cold wings won't be winning us anymore games than his current performance. The problem is NOT with Dennis, Sap, or Howard. The problem all season has been our wings. If we had 3 wings on our team that shoot 50% from midrange and 35 - 40% from 3 do you think Dennis would be taking as many shots? NO, cause coach would say pass the ball to the great shooters. At times, he's our only offense cause no one else can create or hit a wide ass open shot. You may have some agenda or something, all I'm saying is to say that the problem lies with Dennis not getting others involved is absolutely incorrect when passing the ball to these "others" 75% percent of the time results in a missed shot or turnover.
  21. I'm just going to leave this here and let it stew. To say he is not getting his teammates involved is disingenuous (7,7 assists says otherwise). I'm really excited about Dennis going forward. He's the Hawk's present and future. Of all the things to complain about on this team our 23 year old point guard is the least of our worries as of late...
