    He needs to go

    No one is paying Hardaway $16 - $20 million. He'll probably Get $9 - $12 million a year.
  2. To answer your original question apparently they have a 32% chance of winning the series now. Per the jackbutts over at PeachTree Whoops. I'm glad I found Hawksquawk, because those dudes have gone completely off the edge with their negativety. Win game 5 and that goes up significantly
  3. Now that there is only one day of rest between games, this may actually catch up to them. I don't think it'll show up until the fourth quarter of each game. Coach Bud has not played any starter more than 36 minutes per game which is great for the playoffs. Now if the Hawks were going against Cleveland, I'd say play Milsap and Schröder 40 minutes a game.
  4. Please elaborate on the Dennis comment? How is he more immature? He sure has been more mature in the playoffs. Hardaway - you are just going with your preconceived narrative that his defense is awful. In game one, his defense left a lot to be desired, but since then his defense has been average at the least. Jose Calderon has awful defense. Check out Bradley Beal's stats when THjr is guarding him. You'll be surprised.
  5. In the first game of the series, I said Paul needed to play better. Yesterday, he didn't have a great first three quarters, but like a great player, he, along with Dennis, took over in the 4th. In year's past, Paul shrunk in the playoffs, this year the guy is average 23,5 pts, 8.8 rbs, & 4.3 assists. He's stepped up and I can hear that dump trunk full of money backing up to his house. This is when you earn your contract! If we somehow get to the ECF with him again, I say PAY THAT MAN!
  6. If this team has taught us anything, it's to expect the unexpected. Unexpected Jose Calderon getting on that juice and playing out of his mind! So much energy, just what the team needed. Unexpected Baze playing like he's worth $70 million. Unexpected Dwight moving light on his feet, setting excellent screens, playing tough defense, and rebounding like a mad man. Unexpected that Milsap foul shot falling to the floor. Expected - THjr getting that scowl back! He needs to be as agressive as Bazemore at times. All and all, the Hawks have this Wizard's team shook. If they take the next game, I'll call series (in my Paula Pierce voice). Edit: Also unexpected, Bud with the solid rotations!!!! Everything he did worked, can we bottle this and keep going for the rest of the playoffs?
  7. Everyone clearly knew Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler would be what they are after their first season....
  8. Just to add a little fuel to the fire Indiana Pacers forward Paul George did everything in his power to keep his team competitive against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unfortunately for George, he simply did not receive enough help from his supporting cast in what ended up being a four-game sweep by LeBron James and Co. It’s just a continuation of what has been a drawn-out process between George and the Pacers’ organization. Simply put, the All-Star is in no way happy with how the roster has been built around him. It led to speculation about a potential trade from Indiana back in February (more on that here). Now, with his Pacers eliminated from the playoffs, George himself will not commit to playing with the team next season. In no way should this be considered a surprise. First off, George is coming off an exhausting first-round matchup that saw him log 172 total minutes in four games. Secondly, there’s definitely been a rift between George and his team’s front office over the past several months. While George himself has been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, he is not set to become a free agent until following the 2017-18 season. This means that the All-Star forward would either have to request a trade to Los Angeles or play out the remainder of his contract with the Pacers. George, 26, averaged 28.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists in the first round against Cleveland. He remains one of the top-five small forwards in the game. Should the Pacers and George decide to part ways during the summer, the trade market for his services would be plentiful.
  9. You bring up a valid point @kg01. Today, he had Jeff Teague wide open for the three to tie the game, but he took it upon himself to shoot a contested shot that completely missed everything. However, Bud seems to have Dwight under control, maybe he can get PG13 under control. Also, I'm not 100% sold on him going back to L.A. has Woj confirmed this? If so, he will surely realize he will never get a title out there with the best teams in the West being relatively young. The better alternative, believe or not, is Carmelo. He's on a two year deal (with an opt out after one). This gives the Hawks some scoring they need and after two years, they can let Taurean Prince take over the SF position as he enters his prime!
  10. Well I got my wish and per BSPN Nate McMillian said the following: "We know we have a big mountain to climb. We're not talking right now about winning the series. We're talking about staying alive. You could lose a lot more than just this game if you don't approach this game the right way," McMillan said before Game 4 (1 p.m. ET, ABC). "... If you go out there and lay down and give them the game ... you lose respect; there could be a lot of major changes. There could be a lot you could lose. The big thing is losing respect from your fan base and from fans all over." Would you give up Taurean Prince, Bazemore (only way to make the trade work, possibly a three team trade), and three first rounders (only 1 of the Hawks) for PG13? Would he alone be enough to get the Hawks to the promised land?
  11. Not false equivalent. I clearly said he was not on Leonard's level and is not taking the volume of shots. Who in their right mind would put Prince on Kwhai's level at this point? My post was meant to show he has potential because someone said he couldn't shoot.
  12. Saw it yesterday! Dennis is clowning!!!
  13. Let's check the 2017 playoffs' stats KL - 32.5 pts per game on 58% shooting overall, 52.6% from three, and get this 100% from the free throw line 10 - 10 per game . My goodness this guys is a amazing. He really should be getting more MVP considerations considering he plays both sides of the ball. TP - 14 pts per game on 62.1% shooting overall, 57.1% from three and 100% from the free throw line. - His overall usage is a lot less of course. Now I'm not saying TP's on Kwhai's level, but he's stepped up his shooting, defense, and hustle in the playoffs. Maybe the skies the limit for him.
  14. If Bembry ever gets his shot fixed, he's going to be damn good too. He's already crafty around the basket and can get his own shot. I was really happy when the Hawks selected him and TP. They really fit Bud's system well.
  15. You missed Paul saying "Take your loss back to the hotel". In my Terrell Owens voice, that's my power forward.
  16. I can't wait to watch him clap clap clap his soft ass (pause ) out the playoffs.
  17. The Hawks only shot 36% from three. It seems efficient because they were like 1 -40 before this game. I agree about Bud and his rotations as soon as Baze got a little out of control he put THjr in. Dwight played the right amount of minutes. I don't think coach cares if he's pouting or not. Set good screens and played hard defense and they will award him every now and again.
  18. Finally, the good Hawks showed up and showed out! I like that they were a little more classy as they were destroying the Wizards than the Wizards were in their win. So far the Hawks MVP has been Dennis. Kid came to play check this stat line for the series 25 pts, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 turnovers, while going against one of the best point guards in the league. Paul Milsap was a man amongst boys as he should be when going against Morris. Tauren Prince this guy is a PLAYER. I can't wait to see his development in the next few years. Dwight wasn't as stiff as other games. I'm still conveinced his back is bothering him. Finally, where in the HELL has THAT Malcolm Delaney been all year. Maybe coach should be put him for some back up PG minutes. Also, as much as we talk about Timmy's average defense. He really seems to defend Bradley well (when Gortat isn't setting an illegal screen that's never called. )
  19. Horford wanted to leave. Point blank and simple. He was talking to Isiah at the allstar game about Boston. Ownership had nothing to do with that.
  20. Yes, we saw LaQueen taking PG13's lunch money. Although, PG13 wasn't bad, but he shrunk in the 4th.
  21. Dennis is the only player who consistently showed heart in both games. He even bumped Gortat after his dunk. I have a problem when people say Dennis is not passing the ball more. Dennis started out sharing the ball, when he realized (1) No one could get pass their defender to save their freaking lives, (2) everyone was missing wide ass open shots, he took it upon himself to try and score. Sometimes you scratch your head at some of his shots, but he was the only player able to create and score with ease against Washington. I also believe Dwight's back is giving him a lot of trouble. He straight man handled Gortat during the regular season. He was the only Hawks player to perform well against them. You don't see Dwight moaning and complaining when he's been Sat late in games because he knows he's not 100%. Just my two cents and speculation though. If he isn't injured, someone needs to send up to two first round picks to any team willing to take him and Baze.
  22. If the Hawks can get Jonathan Motley and Justin Patton it would be awesome! Jonathan is going to be a really good player.
  23. Oh that note, I think Prince has just as much potential as Jaylen and has played much better in his first playoff series.
  24. Off topic (maybe on topic?). Who do you think the Hawks will select with the 19th pick? Will they select anyone? I personally like Justin Patton and Zach Collins. Patton is supposed drop to around the Hawks draft position.
