  1. Quote: The white male was around 30ish I'm guess you had your white with you or girlfriend and child. If that's you feel free to speak up? Thanks for the compliment - I'm 34, and that was my wife of 10 years (Dee) and daughter of 2 years (Zoe). Nothing better than having your daughter dancing along with the dance team...seriously...NOTHING! Scott
  2. My wife and daughter are leaving Marietta right about now (5:00). We'll be leaving from Midtown. Scott
  3. Quote: On the buildings question. Didn't we also play at the Thriller Dome (GT)(another alexander memorial), where it is showing us playing at the Georgia Dome? Absolutely. I remeber attending a game there where Bobby Hurley got the business for showing his face again. He was a boy amongst men.
  4. Quote: I predict that we're up by more than 5 at the half, no idea what happens after that. I can't wait to go to the game If the Hawks are up by more than 5 at the half - your halftime beer is on me. I have a funny feeling that the Lakers will start strong and Salim will lead a *gasp* 3rd quarter run.
  5. I got a call from an account manager a couple days ago, trying to get me to buy more season tickets. I don't know if that is the reason. They contacted me originally from purchases I had made in prior seasons.
  6. For those that have gotten their shirts...how big do they run? I'm always between L and XL with T-shirts (I'm 5'10 160). Any help? Scott
  7. Quote: My tix came in the mail today! Mine too (122 E, Seats 10-11). *BE CAREFUL* - the envelope containing them looks like junk mail! Scott
  8. Quote: Salim got some assists Only because it seemed like he was trying to prove he could. He could have (and should have) pulled up and hit some Js in a couple situations where he forced passes. He violated my fundamental law of passing - don't make the risky pass unless the completion of the pass promulgates an easy basket. Scott
  9. Quote: Any insight on how these guys looked defensively? My take is average at best. There was a lot of help defense, but that also means the first guy (nearly everyone) was getting beaten off the dribble. I thought they did a solid job of stopping entry passes and seemed to roatate fine. What they didn't stop was the slashing guards or the pull-up jumper. I was actually impressed a couple times with how well Edwards moved in the paint - he just couldn't stop guys, despite getting good position on them. With height on the outside and decent foot speed on the inside (Smoove, Edwards, and even Zsa Zsa) we have the makings of a zone team. This will surely take time.
  10. UPS brought me my tix today. Others should be on the lookout. I *may* have 10 games of 2 tickets avaiable for $100 in section 312 (next to lascar). If interested - PM me, and i'll let you know. Scott
  11. Quote: I agree Hotlanta. I admire when concern and compassion comes through, but it comes through from the people on the ground, from the families of the people who have been stricken and from people in churches and people aren't tied by money to them. The insurance companies only see dollar signs, they will gain substantially from this afterward by raising rates, etc, not to mention they will get kickbacks from FEMA as well. A lot of corporations are seeing dollar signs on the rebuild. Creative destruction is a big part of our great capitalist economy. The Federal Government also sees a chance to take over the oil field reconstruction (likely handing it over to Halliburton, the same company that gained from Iraq) and then handing it to those who paid the right politicians for the right elections. Excuse me while I yawn. On a similar note, we all *know* David Stern rigs the draft lottery.
  12. Yes. I think the question was interpreted in the light of the "playoff guarnatee", hence my use of the word prediction. Any way you shake it, I give the same answer Knight did...and I am not diplomatic at all.
  13. This was an awful interview, but more Dimino's fault than BK. The follow-up question to his badgering about asking for a playoff prediction should have been: "So, Billy, after how many games will you be making judgement about the progress of this team as a unit?" "How will Marvin Williams' progress (or posssibly lack of it) affect the makeup of the roster over time?" "Without mentioning specific players, what are the attributes that the current team should bolster?" I can't believe that any of you think BK came out looking bad. Dimino was the one who was cornered. If Dimino had actuallty asked answerable questions *THEN* Knight could have proved that he loves being difficult. Sad.
  14. Can't wait! Looking forward to responses like: "We're doing things in the best interest of our team". "We're seeking players that can help us win." "Versatility is key". If *anyone* can glean a nugget from BK it'd be Dimino.
  15. Nice to see BK's fro is a *little* cleaner. He probably allowed himself 10 minutes of free time in the last week for a little cropping. Back to work Billy!

    27. They'll double the total from last year + 1. The +1 will come from an out-of-nowhere ridiculous performance where the combo of Marvin and Salim drops 50+ on somebody.
  17. If Belkin owns another franchise, that is one less team to worry about contending.
  18. If the emphasis is on *doesn't get many minutes* this has to be the guy. Less than 4 MPG - golden. Scott
  19. Quote: Im sure we can figure something out. Meet up beforehand if nothing else. Or wear hawksquawk T-shirts or something You are the graphix man Lascar - start the design process. Maybe our ownership group will let you design the new unis. Make sure to include the PacMan! Scott
  20. Quote: Quote: you should get these tickets anyway so that you can sit in our section, lascar Ok well I went ahead and got 2 anyhow. This should be a good time. If this is what it takes for us to meet, so be it. I can't wait! Same here. Just Awesome!
  21. Quote: you should get these tickets anyway so that you can sit in our section, lascar I got the 2 season tickets next to Lascar, and I'll be giving my Clipps tix to charity now that I'll be on the floor. One act of generosity leads to another. Thank you Mr. Levenson! Scott
  22. 34 - been a Hawks fan well over half my life.
  23. Quote: Well I haven't been there in a while, but there basically isn't a bad seat in the house. You can go to hawks.com and do a 3d perspective of the view. They're cheap because they're behind the basket, but I got seats as far off to the side as possible. I'm sure it will still be in the way at times, but with a see-through basket, it's really not a big deal. Definitely WELL worth $200 to be there for every damn game. Hell I get to see every player in the league this year. We have one of the best arenas in the whole league, and there really isn't a bad seat. Yes there are *two* bad seats - the ones next to me on either side. My wife has one, and you have the other! Scott
