  1. Against Detroit the Morris twin constantly shot over him and Detroit overall fiercely attacked him.
  2. If you exclude the AD explosion game, both of the worst defensive performances and losses this season has come with teams fiercely attacking Bazemore on offense. You’d think teams would eventually connect the dots and start to exploit him enough that it becomes a major issue.
  3. Overall I’m not too concerned but it’s pretty funny that both of the losses that the Hawks have are not ones that I would have thought of before the season. If it was 7-2 I would have thought it came due to splitting the 4 in 5 they wrapped up. I actually though 11-3 in this early stretch and it’s still possible, 10-4 wouldn’t be bad either but with how it started out it’d be a slight disappointment. Then it gets real for a couple weeks, as that stretch is really going to tell me a lot.
  4. Saw exactly what I was afraid with with Bazemore without even watching the second half. He is not going to be able to guard the big wings in the game. He may be a Matthews/Green type but at SG, not SF. Teague likely is going to get the ban hammer for a game but I don’t think he was trying to be dirty, just trying to foul and got frustrated and threw a punch. Hopefully Schröder is in control on Wednesday.
  5. Do not start the second half with the starters, need to send a direct message for this performance.

    Game vs Pels

I agree, if they had to lose one this weekend I'd actually be okay with it being New Orleans, don't want to fuel the fire for those at Washington who think certain things.

    Game vs Pels

This is actually a depleted Pelicans team. It's a trap game though despite them being depleted. Evans is out until later this month and if Asik plays at all he'll be very limited (not a good offensive player but has given Horford trouble in the past). Jrue Holiday may still be on a minutes restriction.
  8. Splitter isn't playing full minutes if he starts, just 18-21 minutes. Sefolosha apparently wouldn't either.
  9. For the record: The 2 PG lineup isn’t great, however if Korver is sitting on back to backs, the thing is any of Atlanta’s options to start instead of him is going to kill the spacing just like the 2 PG lineup unless Patterson starts. Sefolosha and Holiday’s jumpers aren’t going to be respected. That’s not taking away from how Holiday played tonight. Didn’t score much but he had 4 blocks so he was very active on defense.
  10. It wouldn't take long for Edy to get in foul trouble if he played. He'd be able to play for just 5-10 minutes a game if he did play, maybe 15 max. Needs to learn how to defend without fouling.
  11. It’s really just one, maybe two players out. Korver and Sefolosha won’t play back to backs until later this season just as a precautionary.
  12. Didn’t watch the game, but two thoughts from it: 1. How do you attack the paint a lot in a half and get no shooting fouls called? 2. The game plan that worked for Charlotte defensively in the 2nd half shows that another near 40 percent 3 point shooter on the wings is going to need to emerge or there’s going to be a lot of ugly games like that (Bazemore is the most likely possibility). What Charlotte did was collapse on the inside, and Atlanta didn’t make them pay for it.
  13. Mostly awful shots that were made by Jeremy Lamb got Charlotte back in the game the first time. The 2nd time was just bad and lax perimeter defense. However if the wanted timeout was granted before Bazemore's erratic play that caused a turnover and led to a Lin 3 I don't know if whether it gets as too close for comfort as it did.
  14. I was for the 2 PG lineup but now I don't think so after seeing a full game of it. I think it clogs the lanes because neither of the PGs jumpers are respected. I hope Patterson gets the SG starts from here on as Sefolosha wouldn't be the answer to that.
  15. I got my wish to see the dual PG lineup in more action and it hasn't been great. I hope Patterson gets the SG starts when Korver is out from here on.
  16. I don't usually pay attention to sports analysts so I don't really care about this.
  17. Game wasn’t really in doubt for the 2nd half although Atlanta did start playing a little sloppy. Don’t like giving up 101 points, but it’s early, it is what it is.
  18. If the Bucks are supposed to be a solid playoff team (granted they were missing Giannis but still), then what was tonight's game? An aberration? The Knicks being a lot better than thought? The Bucks being overrated?
  19. There’s certain lineup combinations from in which the Hawks are not going to be able to spread the wealth as much as they'd like to spread it offensively. The last 4 minutes and early in the 2nd quarter last night, I believe Atlanta was running a Schröder, Patterson, Sefolosha, Millsap, and Splitter lineup. The truth is with that lineup there is only two options that are very good offensively with that lineup. Let Schröder and Millsap create 1 on 1 or drive and kick for corner threes (and we did see a few drive and kicks for them, only one was made though, three were attempted). There are others, but they’re not as good.
  20. Teague was far from fine last night. Had a Rose-esque bad night in which he scored points but was essentially ineffective because of high TO and low AST. Schröder didn’t have many assists either but at least he didn’t turn it over much. He was the better option last night at PG. I’m afraid the best option for the starting lineup may be starting both PGs together and starting one of the rim protectors that are on the bench or starting Patterson and moving Korver to SF.
  21. If you don't want to start Sefolosha, you might have to start the rookie Patterson and move Korver to SF or trade for a SF. I think Bazemore is just an energy guy off the bench at best.
  22. This is more a "what if" than anything. We don't even know what he's asking for and won't get an idea until 2016.
  23. Then you're suggesting that neither PG is going to be the answer unless what Arnovitz said is wrong. Because it really sounds like if Teague wants the max=he gone. Just like with the amount of money Carroll wanted.
  24. What if the media that’s closer to the situation has hinted that Atlanta might not want to pay Teague the max unless he stops having his passive stretches?
