  1. OK, we're just going in circles right now. Maybe this is because right now there is no offense on the bench? Who's the great offensive player off of the bench? Mike Muscala? Lamar Patterson? No. Mike Scott? Unless he returns to 14/15 pre allstar break form, h*ll no. Shelvin Mack? ROFLMAO. Tiago Splitter? ROFL. Sefolosha and Holiday=No.
  2. When the analytics show that the Hawks offense collapses even moreso with Mack in then Schröder, this is not the case. @Diesel
  3. Not when you are on a 35 win pace over a full season (this is by calculating the pace now and ignoring the start and adding it onto the start). That'd put you out of the playoffs even in a mediocre Eastern Conference.
  4. I over exaggerated but if things continue at the pace they are now, ATL will be 35-47 at the end of the season which is bad and means they should tank and have it be 25 wins instead. 7-11 in 74 games is a 28 win pace. It's now time to ignore the start and look at the now.
  5. I'm looking for 20-14 by 2016 but if they can't beat both Boston and Orlando it likely isn't going to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 17-17 and every game against a quality opponent is dropped.
  6. You were saying... No this team is not making the playoffs this year. They will be lucky to win 30 games.
  7. He caused the problem that the team had over the offseason: they couldn't sign both Carroll and Millsap because of cap problems.
  8. Looks like the COY curse continues...
  9. Bazemore starting isn't the answer either. Need to be burning up the phones to find one.
  10. Teams would still be putting a body on Korver and living with Carroll trying to beat them with threes, using the other 4 players in the game to pack the paint and force players like Teague and Millsap to beat them with their jump shot when neither are great jump shooters. That's the essence of what I saw opposing team's game plans as in the playoffs in simple language and guess what, it's STILL the game plan of teams right now. Carroll also hasn't been good this season. It would have made no difference if he was kept.
  11. …and the team is still mediocre at best after that because they have no wing players that are respected. Seriously. More rebounding helps but DOES NOT solve all of the problems. Quit trying to push it like it does!
  12. Mike Smith is laughing hard at this pathetic franchise.
  13. It's going to take more than the idea of getting a legit post big. Everyone older than 25/26 needs to go. Complete fire sale.
  14. Need to firesale and tank for stars. Everyone in the starting lineup should be traded.
  15. Sell everyone on the team and tank for the next two seasons for stars.
  16. As I said, the only solution is to completely blow it up. Sell off everybody. Tank tank tank.
  17. Dude's playing like how Dirk does, he's not playing only in the post. And... Perhaps...maybe the main reason for this is Teague and Schröder don't have a respected mid range more than bigs shooting jumpers? The only way your idea would work for ATL is........BLOW IT UP completely. Sell off everybody. Go complete tank mode to get at least one star, and get guards who can shoot in the mid range.
  18. If we're going to listen to some of the people on here the only way this team wins a championship is: 1. A complete philosophy change (forget the idea of stretch bigs starting together completely and go acquire that big man that is mostly a garbage type, can average 10-12 RPG per 36 and block shots well). 2. Acquire that superstar. Either by FA or a trade.
  19. The #15 pick if Atlanta actually picked would also be DNP-CD. Think a lot of you just want a shiny first round rookie prospect.
  20. The only really good trade bait that the Hawks even have right now is Paul Millsap. May be able to get something with Horford and Schröder, but both of their values have plummeted into the trash can right now. How about...the answer is Atlanta has no trade bait right now?
  21. The starting lineup with Bazemore is slightly in the negative, and suggests the 7-1 start was a big fluke. +/- for Bazemore is -1.3 and defensive rating is 103.7 which is bad. In losses his +/- is -9. Bazemore can't even guard players his size that can dribble. It's only players that can't dribble that he can.
  22. Analytics don’t like Bazemore but I think I’d kick around the idea of starting him at SG and trying to see if you can acquire a big SF on the market, unfortunately Chandler can't be one of them. Maybe Gallo or for a lesser known name, Covington. I'll actually point right out at where the game was lost: NINE missed FTs and Teague was subbed out in the 3rd with it a one point game, and Atlanta did not score the rest of the quarter.
  23. Could’ve won the game, once Teague and Korver were subbed out, all momentum was lost. Alas, I said 2-2 in this stretch with a very outside, outside shot of 3-1.
  24. Seriously, I think Horford is more worried about a third pectoral tear than trying to win. But if you're just not trying to get hurt, you're usually going to get hurt.
  25. I said this was real close to a schedule loss, still in it but by a thread. Back to back after a late game last night and it’s in a tough venue.
