  1. Look at the amazing difference that Dwight makes, just look at it, it's beautiful! A blowout loss against a team you blew out not long earlier.

    ReDraft 2013

The 2013 draft was a very good one.
  3. IMO, Hardaway Jr is a slightly less regarded Allen Crabbe more than anything else. It's just my opinion, but since he's not a 3/D wing and 14/15 might still be in the back of some people's minds, I think he's going to be seen as a full step down from KCP. I admittedly may be way off, but if he's offered much more than 17-18 million, it will shock me. I'd start at 4/56 and my stopping point would be 4/72. Of course, if Kent Bazemore is still in Atlanta, it won't matter. It doesn't matter how, he needs to go. I'd offer to swallow the salary to where it makes it a 10 million dollar contract per and the Minny pick. Just get him the heck off the team.
  4. Hardaway Jr is not even close to as well considered as those two players. You forget not having as good of a history and the average defense factor with him.
  5. You see, the thing is, it's going to be harder to determine Hardaway Jr's contract than Bazemore's. Logical thinking with Hardaway Jr showing even better on offense than Bazemore did last year would be that Hardaway Jr would get a better contract, right? Actually no! He is not a 3/D wing and will never really be one, so that and his New York history could knock his price down a bit. When you start thinking about Hardaway Jr's contract, you need to start with a range between Terrence Ross and Evan Fournier.
  6. I think I posted this somewhere else, I will here. Everything that is done this summer should be on how believable you believe Schröder and Hardaway Jr are. This isn't because they're the top two best all around players on the team, but it's because they're the second and third best players at creating offense on the team. 1. Plan on trading Kent Bazemore. Sell him as a 38% 3 point shooter with good defense. Don't look to get too much, hope to trade all of the contract and get a mid-high second round pick. 2. Continue to get Taurean Prince up to speed, so he can start and play as a role player next year. It hasn't always been pretty, but he's been a lot better with the regular rotation. 3. Bring back Hardaway Jr and Millsap as long as it doesn't take too much. I'd prefer 3 years with a team option for 4 with Hardaway Jr and preferably 12-15 million (I'd stop at 18) and the full max and two years with an option for 3 with Millsap. 4. Draft a good young big, hopefully Patton or Hartenstein and plan to use the 31st pick for an American player, maybe a Josh Hart (could be the next Malcolm Brogdon like surprise) or Juwan Evans, or Tyler Lydon/Caleb Swanigan (if they fall). 5. (This is where it gets tougher) See what's available that will not take more than MLE that is a good defensive backup or a good 3 point shooter. 6. If the price isn't high, bring back Ersan Ilyasova. If the Hawks manage to trade Kent Bazemore and actually get a mid-high second rounder, don't have to break the bank for both of their top two FAs, one of Patton/Hartenstein/Collins falls to them, they get to take their pick from Lydon/Swanigan/Hart/Evans for their 31st pick, and they manage to pick up another good 3 point shooter, they'll come pretty close to winning the offseason and mostly fix their offensive issues, if you believe what Dennis/Tim have done. Realistically, I hope to see Kent Bazemore traded and most of his contract traded with it, Ivan Rabb or Tyler Lydon/Josh Hart or Juwan Evans drafted with the first and second picks, Tim Hardaway Jr signed to a 3 year-45 million dollar deal with a 4th year option, Paul Millsap signed to a full max, but similar to 2015 only for 2 years with an option, and Ersan Ilyasova brought back if the price is right. Either way my hope is Bazemore isn't in the starting lineup next year. Shortened version: 1. More offense is needed. 2. Prince/Millsap can offset Schröder/Hardaway Jr on defense. It'd be done better than Bazemore trying to do so with Millsap.
  7. For how much better Bazemore has played lately, he isn't a good defender, he's just a hustler. For all of his athleticism, he might have a BBIQ that is worse than me which really says something. There's multiple times on the floor in which he just runs around flailing.
  8. Eh, as long as what I seem to see is true I have no problem with this one. If my feeling is right, the Hawks will get into good shape in the next 10 games. I understand your younger players having attention span issues off the ball, I don't understand Bazemore. He mostly defended Green, who got at least 3 threes in the half court, and honestly Baze fouled him twice. He did have a good shooting night, but he was comical on defense. In the chat I said having 2-3 non offensive players starting hurts against teams in which running helps to keep you from seeing a great half court defense.
  9. If Hardaway Jr isn't resigned, that's dumb with how well he's played but I doubt that Atlanta lets Millsap go unless they plan on taking a step back.
  10. This will not be the game to bash Dennis, just like the Brooklyn game. Against teams that play straight man up, no helping, your best offensive guys are going to have to shoot, a lot. He still got 10 assists though. On the defensive end though he has NO attention span off the ball.
  11. They gave Hardaway Jr's contract to Bazemore's.
  12. I think the pace is for 45, but I think it's come together some for the team. Put me down for saying those that picked 47 will win.
  13. I officially side with Rev-in-Tampa. Lmao man.
  14. Goodness gracious, I may have to side with Rev-in-Tampa on "Pop does not want to lose to Bud". He may be back. And if he is I'll have to side with him. I either underestimated their medical staff or the concussion protocol stuff was all a ploy *fp*. I have to lean with the latter more than anything.
  15. He was about the 4th most important player in that game, if not even worse. The point is this team isn't built to be non-ball movement.
  16. Again, the Toronto game was won by great individual play, not through ball movement. The Memphis game was.
  17. The game vs Toronto was won by great individual play. This one was not.
  18. The March schedule actually isn't so bad after tomorrow. The only one I'd really be afraid of facing is Washington, and I'm very close to actually putting them over SAS as the hardest team left in March due to whose missing for SA. Kawhi is not going to be "magically" back from concussion protocol tomorrow, if there's a game to steal in San Antonio, it's tomorrow.
  19. Oh, there was much more of a difference than just "guys hit their open shots". The ball was moving a lot more and it was much easier to create open looks. And I've said that even bad shooters will hit practice threes. It wasn't just drive and kicks like we mostly saw, the ball was probably moving the most we've seen all season outside of the stunning Chicago comeback stretch. This game should tell a lot of the story. Dennis fully buys in, he's just mistake prone. Despite RPM and blabla, he's not really the issue...
  20. This is one that should open a lot of eyes. Look at how much better the offense is without a traditional center. Dennis had 6 turnovers, but even that wasn't TOO bad of an eyesore with him being the main knucklehead out there.
  21. Fine-a freakingly able to actually post again here on my laptop, instead of my tablet. Anyway, I saw something on twitter that said that Bazemore said he was hurt and couldn't work out at all in the summer. That'd explain a lot, but I still don't want to keep him. Even if it isn't for something big, doing something like pulling off a three team deal that I saw in the Brandon Knight thread that would send him back to Atkinson would be perfect. Bring back Millsap/Hardaway Jr/Ilyasova, draft a young stretch big, and look for a bargain backup SG that can shoot the three well and you might have fixed the offense.
  22. I know I left y'all hanging but I didn't really mean Bazemore. Seriously, if what Dennis/Tim have shown is close to true, the offense may not be far away from a fix. It just can't happen until this summer unfortunately and if it does, it wouldn't be sexy moves.
