I would love to have a guy on the hawks that can get the CROWD UP ON THEIR FEETS. Just think of how loud PHILIPS ARENA would get if the game was tied and in the final minutes, Digbeu makes a MONSTER DUNK. That would be cool.

and BlackHawkDown is saying that he's "garbage?" doesnt make sense to me. Dont talk to me about competition. Couple years ago, Wally Szezerbiak played for Miami (Ohio) and had very good respectable numbers. People doubted him and said that he didnt have much compeition out there. We all know what hes capable of doing. He shoots very high percentage, rebounds decent, passes decent. Then again is a guy name Roshown McLeod. He had very high compeition but didnt have as good numbers as WALLY. This kid played against the best kids in college. all im saying is that the place where you played does not necessarly effect the play of ur NBA game. I never seen Dickau play, but heres what i know: 1)very good shooter. when abdur-rahim is doubled team, kick it out to Dickau for a wide open three. 2)very quick like JT. 3)has good PG skills. His pass and dribbles are attributes of a PG, not a SG. 4)work ethnic is GREAT. If he sucks, hes going to try his best and work harder. Worse case = Matt Maloney. Best case = use your imagination. I wasnt one of those people on this board thinking he was the next coming of Jesus. In fact, i didnt even want him starting next to JT. I think we all know that hes going to backup JT this year (for the most part). All im saying is that PEOPLE U JUDGE A GUY, lets see how he plays in the NBA....

We are starting to act as a team. I too started to think we are bonding when we had those OPTIONAL PRACTICES. What i like too is the fact that when 1 hawk player goes down, the other 4 players are there to back the person up. Once we act as a team, we will start playing as a team.

and this is coming from a guy who REALLY HATES BLACKHAWKDOWN'S opinions. I mean, with the whole EURO player, i really do not like his comments. Yet i did not see it offensive to me. If i was of a EURO descent, im not sure what the case would be. But the reality is that im not, and all we did was ARGUE and try to support our opinion. By no means did he attack me or my background (korean). I hate the guys view, but he does have an opinion. I say give the guy a couple warnings when it comes REAL TOUGH, but banning a hawks fan is imo- the last thing we should do. (worse case scenario). Well my take on this issue is this. If i had to take a side between Dolfan and BlackHawkDown, i would go with my side CYMAN3. Dolfan- i know exactly what ur talking about. The heros including police officers, teachers, firemen, army, navy- do not get much $$$. Its no secret. Yet they do it because its what they like to do. Teachers like to make a mark on a childs life so the child may reach his full learning potential. Firemen want to help save lives cuz they care. The money is a PLUS. Saving a persons life is the real glory. I know that athletes make a lot of cash. But think about this Dolfan. Suppose this is a communist country. All the players are making $2 million a year. Then guess whos getting rich? Fans are paying $50-100 for 1 seat. With all that money, if the players arent getting it- who gets the profit? The players is the MAJOR reason the fans go watch and support the NBA. They could care less about the coach, staff, etc. They want to see basketball played by professionals. And the truth is, MILLIONS are willing to pay big bucks to see this game. If the players arent getting it, the money is going to go somewhere. I say let the players have the big money. Its sad that more people are willing to support the NBA than the army. Life just isint fair when 1 person gets to play 82 games of basketball and make millions and the other has to teach kids from fall to beginning of summer and get a decent living. If the world was perfect, the NBA players would be willing to (on their part) help out the neighborhood. Give back to the community. Dont get me wrong, many of them are. Yet some arent with the program. I can understand both sides of the argument. By no means am i on one particular side. Im just facing reality. If the NAVY wants more salary, then the TAXES will have to be increased. MAIN POINT- life isint fair. For some reason good people suffer and the "bad people" tend to get away. Thats how life is!

The OTHER FORUMS are a definite keeper. I have no problems with those forums. But imo, some of the forums in the hawksquawk forums could be merged. I find it more inconvient than helpful to separate trade forum with HomeCourt. If you are a big hawks fan and do not want to discuss other teams, i guess i could live with AROUND THE LEAGUE forum. All im saying is that if TRADE CENTRAL includes hawks players, it should be included in the HOMECOURT. I think FRONT OFFICE and OFFTOPIC should be separated, but the 3 other forums - homecourt, trade central, around the league- should be merged into 1 forum. Im not sure if im just speaking for myself or for others. I know that you want to improve this board and i think we should have a POLL posted in the HOMECOURT forum asking if we should merge some of the forums. just a thought...

Mohammed is a very good backup CENTER. Hes not starter material. And if he does start, whos backup at C? If we trade THEO we must get a center in return. I still like the LEWIS/JAMES for THEO/KUKOC.

This years FA is kinda boring. Lewis is not a max player. IMO- hes in the same tier with Jason Terry. The guy has skills and is coming up quite nicely. Look for him to get a Henderson-like contract. With the LUXURY TAX, many teams are scared of giving the BIG MONEY.

We dont need Jones and we need Mohammed in case of insurance. Newble is just like Jones so we dont need him. Im not too high on Doleac.

James is also 7'1" 272 lbs. we all know what Lewis can do: 36.4 mpg, .468%, .389 3pt%, 7.00 rpg, 1.46 spg, 16.8 ppg he also has great size similar to DERMARR JOHNSON.

Kukoc + Ratliff for resigned Lewis (he can do better than a mid-exeption at houston here) + resigned James. heres how it works: Everyone knows Ratliff is better than James, and Lewis is better than Kukoc. But look at James' numbers. He led NCAA Division I in blocked shots (4.63 bpg) in 1997-98 as a senior at Florida A&M. 16.9 mpg, .491 %, 4.10 rpg, 1.54 bpg, 5.3 ppg Thats his numbers after 1 and half quarters. We can double his minutes here and look at what we get: 24 MPG, .491 %, 8.2 rpg, 3 bpg, 10 ppg not bad hey? Of course, this is just theorically assuming the fact hes production is the same if given the 2x more time. Lewis is a good player too. I know WALLACE is a player with attitude, yet i know deep inside- he really does have love for this game. Hes a person that just needs ANGER MANAGEMENT. In fact, i think the league doesnt help him either. Who else gets a TECHNICAL in this league for looking at the ref? I remember at times, MJ would YELL AT THE REF for making a bad call... yet the refs let it be. Hes a very good player and i would only do this trade under your purposel if (trading JT): 1)we get rid of big contracts- Kukoc and/or Henderson 2)Dickau is THE MAN and FOR SURE! 3)Abdur-Rahim doesnt mind playin with Wallace. If hes going to make it in the NBA, its going to be as a valuable part on the bench. I know that your from Finland and you want to support your man as best as u could. Heck, Im korean and i wanted CHAN HO PARK to stay in the MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. But there were bad times when he was dropped back to the minors and good times when he was selected to the allstar game. Anyhow, what i love most about Hanno is 1)Attitude- no wonder why Babcock + Kruger likes him. He respects the coach and he has a great attitude towards the game. 2)Shot- how many PFs can shoot outside? Not very many! This guy has the best shot outside on our team. An edge over Abdur-Rahim. 3)Hussle/Rebound- when i saw him play, he got many offensive rebounds just by hustling. I think he can make it in the NBA if its not with the hawks.

I never knew that about SPREE. I thought the only "bad" in his profile was the choke attack.

If u could define the salary of a MAX PLAYER what would it be? is above $10 Million a year contract considered a MAX SALARY? Cuz this whole time i thought max salary was the very few like WEBBER, ONEAL, HOUSTON, HOWARD etc.

The "name 25 players better than Nowitski" was started by BlackHawkDown and me. The average fan, DIESEL, composed a rank of players. IT DOESNT MATTER if Dirk is 24th best or 10th best, what matters is that he is a top 25 player (which BHD disagrees with). Diesels rankings above and below NOWITSKI is totally irrelevant. "However, if Malone wasn't so old.... And Wallace didn't play for Portland...and Jamison was a better Shooter... Dirk would have easily been 23." but the truth is that MALONE is old, Jamison does not shoot well, and who knows how well Wallace would do in another town. My theory was that as of the NBA today, DIRK is a worthy top 25 player. I NEVER SAID THE HISTORY OF THE NBA. In that case, who knows how far hes ranked. My point was that Dirk is a top 25 player, and Diesel proved me rite.

Dont get me wrong. The guy can ball. I definetly consider him a top 3 SG (when it comes to talent wise). But his personality makes me dislike the guy. The guy has no respect for the hawks (which i dont like, and it should bother u guys as well). Something like "Baron Davis has the better team, he has help on his team." This could be true that Davis does have more help on his team, but this is disrespect towards his teammates. Because it clears up room for more players. The way i see it, i wanna see a Keon Clark type bench player off the hawks bench. IMO Bowdler, Mottola, Email are all 3rd string players better known as BACKUPS for the BACKUPS. i see it as giving a first rounder for White. I like it!

Yea i guess there could be more than 1 MAX player on a team. When i said 29 MAX PLAYERS i didnt mean to say 1 per team. for ex: Lakers have 2 max players who are well-worth it. the Bullls have 0 (sorry, but Rose is an allstar... almost a max player in my book) and same with Grizzles.

yo Blackhawkdown, go to EBAY.COM and type in LEBRON JAMES and u will be amazed. his autograph is already on sale as a HIGH SCHOOLER (better get them while its cheap, rite?). The guy had a practice with the CLEVELAND CAVS. While he didnt DOMINATE, he did hold his own ground (good for a highschooler). Hes an all around player and his shot is sweet. Not one hole in his game. He shoots a high percentage. The Cavs were so impressed with his game, dont be surprised if they are SUDDENLY the worse team in the NBA this year (to higher their chances with the lottery). They say that KOBE wasnt this good at his age. Look for him to be top 2 pick (2nd pick if the first GM is stupid and decides to go with someone else). WORSE CASE- hes gonna be an allstar (w/o injuries. Who knows if a GRANT HILL might happen to him). BEST CASE- most dominant SG since the old MJ days.

Now i dont say this a lot esp with remarks from blackhawkdown, so these words are very seldomly used. but hes rite. Max players should be the BEST PLAYER on the team. I think there should only be 29 Max players in the NBA. Wally is the type of player in which hes the 2nd (at best) or 3rd option. He makes a living out of his sweet shooting. but to get the max u have to meet the conditions: 1) a great guy and fan favorite 2) leader on the court and off 3) best player on the team I do think ABDUR-RAHIM is a max player. By no means is Wally in the same rank as SHAREEF. In fact, i dont think TERRY is a max player either. I can live with Terry making $8-10 Million (at most) a year. But whats more reasonable is 7-9 Million. Same with WALLY WORLD.
