  1. I don't understand how anybody would want Dwight to have more touches. Don't you watch the games? Don't you see how he has no post game AT ALL. Every possession we play the ball into the post and let D8 go iso is barely any points. The only reason why you should give him the ball is that the opposing center fouls out
  2. A developed left hand would help him so so much. Just being able to switch hands in the air to avoid the block would give him I'd say 4-6 more points each game.
  3. Cosign this. He has to have a bigger variety of shots/lay-ups. He only has this under-the-arm layup. Thats why he gets blocked that often. Rim protectors know what he's up to. I'd love an up-and-under-layup
  4. I gotta admit that I'm still new to basketball as a whole as I started following basketball and the Hawks with Dennis' Draft in 2013. Thats why I have a question due to your comment: Is it that difficult to set a useful screen? I mean you just gotta position yourself right and wait for the dribbling player to go around you.
  5. We would be immensely better if Howard and Sap could set a solid screen.
  6. Moose and being able to dribble are the keys (THJ and Thabo a little)
  7. I honestly would rather have Horford and a poor mans Howard instead of as it is now Howard and a poor mans Horford (Muscala)
  8. I gotta admit supes is kinda right. As much as Howard is of a rebounding force he isn't providing anything else. Horford however wasn't a rebounder but did everything else pretty good. You think that with Howard you'd score more inside and therefore you have more space for the outside shooters. But that's not the case. Howard simply has no postgame. He shoots as much airballs off the hook shot as he hits. Also by always staying in the paint. Millsap has no space inside to score from short range and has a rather bad fg from their consequently now. Due to this there's no space outside because we can't provide inside scoring. The all around fgs go down. We score less. Second problem is our shooters can't dribble to save their lives. However Horford came up for this in setting good screens. Neither Howard nor Millsap set good screens. They roll way too fast. Thats why we don't play efficient PnR, why Dennis and Korver look worse. The only thing speaking for Howard is that he gives us a favorable match up against Tristan Kardashian and the Cavs
  9. One thing that makes me feel enthusiastic is that Dennis at least shows up against good competition. Against Playoff-Teams.
  10. Maaaaaaan what can you say about this game.. PG: Did you guys recognize that Dennis has good 1st quarter most of the times followed by a really bad second quarter? I don't know why he completely lost his touch in the second quarter yet again. And gosh I hate those sloppy lob passes into the box. Delaney had a bad night but seems way more consistent. SG: Kyle is and always will be a non factor. You can't give him the ball. He'll either - pass it directly to another player (50% turnover) - takes the shot (always contested due to him being too slow) - jumps, fakes and just throws it randomly into the backcourt and hopes for the pg to grab it. About THJ: I'm mad at coach for limiting him instead of kyle for prince' minutes. Confidence wasn't there. SF: Kent. Is. Too. Wild. How often did he fall for Haywards pump fake and went for the monster block? Always takes the worst shots. He runs right into the crowd and tries to somehow lay it in against 3 bigger guys. Prince had nice threes and I like what I see with him. PF: Millsap wasn't really part of the game. He should demand the ball more in such games cause he's the only one who can shoot fadeaway twos and go one on one. Moose with a bad shooting night. C: Howard complete no show. If he can't grab a rebound he's worth nothing. His hook shot is the worst thing ever. Did he hit one so far this season? Bad Perimeter D as usual. He has to grab boards and get the opposing big into foul trouble. That's his job. Bud has to adjust the rotation. THJ should at least get half the minutes on SG and honestly if you want consistently strong d from baze you gotta play him on the 2 too. In what world should he be able to defend a 3 like hayward?
  11. What worries me with Dennis is that sometimes it seems as if his only goal is to be known as a swaggy player. Always trying to do fancy things instead of simple passes. Always one handed instead of a secure pass with both hands. Bud will take care of him. As before mentioned he has a long way to go. Real head case atm.
  12. can you play any worse than dennis this first half?
  13. Did you guys recognize that every time the Hawks went on a run it immediately stopped due to some unbelievably stupid plays by i.e. THJ, Thabo etc. We're just way too lazy and to fancy with our possessions.
  14. That would be totally me. It suits me quite well lol. But honestly everybody has his favorites and one or two guys he dislikes. You can't avoid that and I think most people have a profound reason.
  15. If there's one guy who's really upset with himself if things don't work out well it's dennis. I don't know why you think he has douche mentality as you pointed out. I mean you can see his commitment to the game in every scene. If anything he's maybe not the smartest out
  16. First season as a starter what do you expect? Idk if it's right from Bud to keep him completely out of the game if things don't work out for one night. I mean as you know Dennis is all about confidence. I'm not sure if he can handle such coach decisions well.
  17. There is no way to give him the ball. As before mentioned he's not moving well. Sometimes they forcefeed him and than you have the next problem with KK. HE CANT DRIBBLE AT ALL. Thats why he jacking up contested shot after contested shot. To me his game is just to one dimensional for a starter
  18. THJ can get such a player. Maybe with increased minutes he gets even better and more consistent. Also Baze has a pretty nice stroke from 3 lately. I think we'd be able to come up for it. You can also argue that its hard to let THJ out cause he provides multiple scoring options and plays way better d
  19. Also i call us lucky that he had a DNP-injured vs the cavs. Otherwise we wouldve had a match up - problem again
  20. This has nothing to do with todays game but with how the whole season is going so far for him. Outside of him im very pleased with the Hawks and with our record. I just cant understand in how far Korver should be a starter on this team. I mean anybody with eyes can see that were way better when Korver is off the court. Its not even his offense which annoys me in the first place. Its his defense. Hes a liability on defense and not able to defend any starting 2 in the league. Also hes way to limited on offense to be starting. Yes he can provide nice shooting and it can get us really going but honestly that happens like every 6th game. IMO our best starting lineup would be either DS - THJ - Baze - Sap - D8 or DS - Baze - Thabo - Sap -D8 Lets face it hes a great 6th man nowadays. I love my hawks and were doing great so far. But Korver hasnt much to do with it. He would be better of the bench.
  21. Can someone tell me what happened between the fifth and the 2nd minute in the 4th quarter. My stream turned off. Other than that. Stupid play by Howard. Overall pretty bad perimeter d by Howard. Ds17 couldnt buy a shot outside. Baze goes from a great right to a bad play and back and forth. Korver is a non factor offensively and cant stay in front of his target. Sap was Sap. He did good. Such games will come from time to time but im disappointed with D8 and Korver is a role player. Let Baze start at the 2 and Thabo at the 3.
