  1. Praying to avoid talks about praying to avoid tanking discussions
  2. I think we're playing perfect tanking basketball. Always tight games. Always losses. I guess this issue of not being able to finish games will fade away. Outside of Dennis those players just need to get used to the limelight. Its on bud to give them enough minutes to better their game. It's on Bud to give the vets enough minutes to raise their market value. Let's see how all that pans out in the end
  3. In all honesty I think we have had our chances so far to win games. I think those will occur also in the next couple of games. For now our big problem is everybody going ice cold in the crunch time. If we can somehow solve this problem I can see us grinding out one or more wins.
  4. Every damn player getting cold in the 4th. Schröder was all alone trying to make things happen. And what's baze thinking with those little pushes in the back on dunks every game. He does that every 4th quarter in every game. Hes the momentum shifter. The tank commander.
  5. Yeah Collins could've had 6 more points or so with all those missed tipins. Same goes for Dedmon who missed some really easy baby hooks 2ft away from the rim. Really like what Taylor brings to the table. Am also pleased with Delaneys performance so far today. Its nice to see that we can hang in against every team we played so far
  6. On another note: Did anybody else catch Nique with the occasional "Dellanedova" ?
  7. Yeah sorry I may define the word superstar wrong. A top 20 player is what I meant. As supes said his skillset is reminiscent of Simmons, James, Greek Freak when they started. Sure he misses the height and long arms but his game has the same appeal and he's very athletic to come up for it. I know he's by far worse and couldn't prove himself so far but the skillset is arguably the same. Great passer, great rebounder, bad shooter, great defender, high bb IQ His ceiling is a triple double machine to me.
  8. Might sound funny to some (two for sure), but Bembry is the only guy on the roster that screems superstar potential to me. By saying that I don't mean he'll surely become one but I'm not surprised if he turns out to be one. He has all the tools. He is so smooth and effortless on the court. He has a real floor general appeal.
  9. Just reminiscing about the time where Bembry had the task to guard Harden. That already showed me what potential this guy has.
  10. Stay. There will always be the naysayers. Pessimistic to every move made. Always going against the current. Take them with a little humor.
  11. I'd love to still have Mike $cott on the Hawks. He'd be a great addition to our second unit next to belly nelly
  12. Luckily we have you on the board presenting your very own opinion as facts. Its not a coincidence that nearly everybody on this board thinks highly of Bembry. Neither is it a coincidence that many see Dennis as a building block. Just express your opinion as what it is - an opinion.
  13. No I don't think Delaney equals Doncic. I wanted to give you a glimpse of how bad euroball actually is. I see what your saying with Bembry. I just think Bembry is the type of player who has such a high bb iq and is capable of thousands of tricks to get into good position. Every time he was on the floor so far you could tell his potential is through the roof without even having a jumper yet
  14. Let's see what Bembry brings to the table first. If he shows us he can be our future 2 guard than I'd rather go for a frontcourt partner for Collins
  15. Taylor looks like a vet. Quickly becoming one of my favorite players on the team.
  16. So I looked up Babbitts 3fg% for this season so far. He hits out worldly 25%. That keeps every defense honest.
  17. And i saw them doubling Giannis on many plays. Imo the worst thing you can do with such a team is to give the other 4 players easy looks. They'll gain confidence with every made bucket and suddenly they don't rely as much on Giannis anymore. I'm of the opinion that you rather let Giannis shoot his way out of the game. Let him score his 50-60 points but keep the defense tight on all other players
  18. Taylor looks hella good out there. His style fits our pace. We look bad on D so far. Especially Dennis and Baze got abused.
  19. F*CK LUKE BABBITT. That guy is unplayable. He just airballed a 3
  20. Thats exactly what he's been doing so far. Just hope he can continue this type of play and shoot the ball better
  21. Dennis looks like a real leader now. A veteran on the court. His decisionmaking, a real weak part last season, seems to be a strength of his so far this season. He's dishing the ball well, shows great leadership on the court and controls the pace. Really the only flaws are his off ball defense and his shooting. And I'm very confident that he'll shoot a better percentage soon. He just needs a little more luck. Next two things he has to work on: 1. Off ball defense. Training his focus. You always have to have two things in mind. Where the ball is and where the opponent is. Right now he can only focus on one or another. 2. How to get fouled more often. That means to train pumpfakes. How to efficiently drive into defenders to get fouled without turning the ball over. How to flop.
  22. Yes for now he really blows too many lay ups. Its just weird. Its so easy for him to get to the basket and have good looks but more often than not he's putting a little too much force on them and they just roll of the rim. If he'd be hitting his easy shots he should be around 60% for now.
  23. Hawks look way better today. Great offensive flow. Collins has to grab more boards
