The Minny rumor is weird to me. I'd be losing my mind if we were offering up Hunter or Reddish in trade packages to move up into the top 5. And they're offering him for 6? These 3 guys were pretty much in the same tier going into last year's draft.

Supes, who is "they" in this sentence? Does that mean not many teams are interested in moving up into the top 3? Maybe the price could start to go down? For context, I really want Ant, but don't want to lose Hu3rter.

Big risk - Ball could have a huge year, but more often than not, rookies aren't great. That's a HUGE gamble in a contract year with the best player in the league. Go big or go home I guess.

Idk...trading Middleton seems less than optimal for Milwaukee. Maybe Bud will screw this up so bad Giannis walks in a year.... Wishful thinking I'm sure.

Exactly, completely agree. At some point in these rumors, you have to ask yourself, Does this trade make sense from a basketball perspective? And I can't think of a single realistic trade for JC either that makes basketball sense for the Hawks.

I honestly don't even believe he's on the block. I have a feeling that the Hawks are not the team picking up the phone and dialing to inquire about a trade involving JC. Are they taking calls? Sure, why not? But it'd have to be a Giannis, AD, KAT, Zion, type player imo for them to pull the trigger. Taking calls on JC does not equal JC is on the block.

My prediction: John Collins will be a Hawk for a long, long time. You don't just trade away walking 20/10 double double machines who are 23. JC can also shoot the 3 better than most bigs in the league and runs the pnr better than most too. He's the perfect compliment to Trae and Cap. He's not going anywhere. He's especially not getting traded for a PF confused PG who can't shoot and has to have the ball in his hands at all times lol

Didn't Supes say in an earlier post the blockbuster trade involved a 2020 all star? Or was that the PG rumor that fell through...

From a basketball standpoint, it makes 0 sense to me for us to turn John Collins into Ben Simmons. Like none. Trae is ball dominant. Simmons spent 93% of his time at Point Guard last season. Where are you putting Ben when Trae is iso-ing top of the key? You bringing him up to pick and roll? JC already does that better and can actually step back and hit a 3 point shot. We're going to roll with Cap and Ben late in a game when neither can shoot a FT? I'm not buying this at all. But maybe I just don't watch enough 76ers basketball and am missing something. Flame away if I am lol

Where are y'all seeing this blockbuster trade and Collins being moved as part of it? Supes said - "Indy Indy has been in talks with Atlanta and a 3rd team. This is a massive deal that has been in talks now for months, I even think I mentioned it on here before. Basically, the Atlanta part of the deal is done but the 3rd team is still far away from where they need to be for Indy. The only players I can say are in this deal is Oladipo to the 3rd team and Dedmon to one of the teams. This would be a major deal for all team involved. Indy is NOT rebuilding; they are simply retooling. They want to be a contender in the east like we want to be. They will be tight on offseason spending. Justin Holiday might be on the way out due to salary. Justin is getting a lot of interest from contenders for a mid MLE level player."

So our potential depth chart next season based on these rumors could be: Trae / Mystery PG / Goodwin Cam / Ant / FA Hayward / Hunter / FA Collins / Jones Jr. / FA Capela / Bruno / Skal Am I missing anyone??

Appreciate the info as always @NBASupes! If that's the case, the price is too high for me. Although as a UGA homer, I'd love to see Ant in a Hawks jersey. Just not at the price of Hu3rter or Hunter. If somehow the draft fell Ball, Deni, Wiseman - I'm pulling the trigger on the OKC first to move up to #4. Looking forward to the FA update later!
