Exactly. Plus they all have head coaching experience where as Pierce doesn't. All those teams have expectations of making the playoffs in 2018/19. The Hawks don't.

Do you think Dorsey would have been a rotational player if Bembry hadn't gotten injured or if we had a 'winning' roster? Dorsey would have spent most of his time in the GL if circumstances were different.

It it's one thing I've learned over the years is that when it comes to the draft the 'experts' are not always right in their assessments of a draft class.

How often is that true though? That a guy just outside the lottery at #15 is there at #30?

I don't know enough about these players personally, but just based on history, there is a variance in prospects 11-20 and 21-30 and that is more so based on what position you maybe trying to fill. There are players that may drop unexpectedly.

Do you want 'safe' though? Id rather the Hawks be agressive in going to get the player they covet, within reason of course. Based on where the Hawks are in their rebuild I think I'd take 1 significantly better talented player than 2 mid level players. So a trade up combining 19 plus is warranted if there is a player the Hawks like.

I agree. I just can't think who can that be and what we can get for Dennis that's not straight up garbage. Ideally, we keep Dennis and rehab his value some by the trade deadline.

True Dennis is the wild card here and it's unclear if he can improve his 3pt shot enough. However, the article did say that Doncic will function best with a another capable ball handler plus a rim rolling big.

When rookies reach RFA their draft status no longer matters. If they pan out they'll be looking for big pay days. Thats not true re GSW: Steph got his extention last year KD is due one this year Klay has 1 year left and eligible to be extended. Draymond has 2 years left.
