  1. We'd more than likely buy out JR, ala Jamal Crawford.
  2. Exactly., that is my hope.
  3. I understand the concern but Darko was a bench player putting up something like 6 points and 7 rebounds.
  4. I have the perfect gif ready if he does...we should know about this time tomorrow who we picked.
  5. Are you gonna stick around the Squawk if Dennis leaves? (I'm making an assumption since you're sportimg the German flag)
  6. I guess I coukd ask Why'd the teams he join have worse records after he joined. Atlanta, less wins, Charlotte less wins.
  7. Doubtful, as Schlenk has said, defense is good but if you can't score 100.... You won't win many games.
  8. Since we're talking Dwight, heard on local Atl radio today - Bud did not want Dwight, othe 'Elements' in the front office wanted him - I'm thinking Ressler and Koonin.
  9. We won't ever agree on Dwight, he had his chance with me here in Atlanta. He doesn't think he's a role player. He still wants to post up and hold the ball disrupting the entirety of the offensive flow. He may block shots but the rest of his defense is putrid.... he can't/won't set a decent screen because he's searching for rebounds, he won't step out on the PnR which leads to tons of wide open freethrow line shots, it's like a layup drill.
  10. Except he doesn't.
  11. True, but that's how far his value has tanked, that's he a pawn for teams and their sloppy rebuilds. All those stats you posted have no intrinsic value to winning and in the locker room where it matters most. He's a sure fire HOFer but it's a sad end for him but he just can't get right. It always end the same......whatever it is, it's HIM.
  12. You don't know my game Spud - could be me.
  13. Yep. I'm just glad it ain us. If we draft Luca, keep Luca.
  14. If teams are sending us expirings they will also be looking for an asset or two to take Dennis and Baze.
  15. Amnesty doesn't exist and even if it did we couldn't use it. Since Parson's didn't originally sign his contract with us we would not be able to provide amnesty. The most we can do is stretch his remaining salary of $49 million over 5 years so the cap hit in each year is $9.8 million. I would hate it if we did that. That's $10 million in dead money that counts against the cap you can't do anything with, can't trade it, nothing - it just sits there staring you in the face. Detroit is still paying Josh Smith for 3 more years at $5 mill a year after stretching him with 3 years left on his original deal. We don;t have need of capspace to sign FAs, so take the hit now if we are trading for him.
  16. I don't know if it's a precursor to a Kemba trade, but it was about getting under the tax. They saved $7 mil this year.
  17. Go ahead and say it, it needs to be said then....
  18. Magic fans warned LAL fans who warned Rockets fans who turned around and warned Hawks fans. Hawks fans tried telling Hornets fans....Dwight is a problem....and so, it continues. Brooklyn beware.
  19. Straight salary saving for Chatlotte THIS season, saves them $7 mil and stay under the Tax after they sign their draft pick. The cost? Takes on Mozgov for $16 mil next season for 2 2nd round picks.
  20. This just just shows we shouldn't be giving Memphis a ton of value to get the #4 pick not with that much money coming in. I understand the premise, but now would be the time to do it since we are rebuilding and his money will be coming off the books the same time as Bazemore and Plumlee just in time for when Prince and Bembry, the 1st of the 'keepers' will be coming off their rookie contracts looking for their next contract.
