I think a lot of teams want to have capspace next offseason so maybe multi year contract wasn't looking possible. Thing is most teams a close to or in luxury tax territory so that's another issue.

19, 30 AND Dedmon for Faried is overkill. That's not a good use of assets. Especially since Denver needs to move Faried and ideally they prefer not to take salary back since they are trying to stay under the luxury tax when they resign Jokic and possibly Will Barton.

If we do that and Young is a bust, it's gonna get ugly for a long time. That's the type of move that sinks whatever momentum Schlenk has built. I'd rather we bust on our own pick than trading down and busting.

That should read $26 million. I remember seeing that if we renounced all FA capholds, both Dedmon ($7.2) and Moose opt out ($5) we could have as much as $40 million in capspace. My apologies. So $40 - $12, so $28 million.

Lol....that's why I don't get all caught up. I believe what my own lying eyes tell me when I do my own research (stats, hype video, gsme film etc.) and decide who I want.
