  1. I don't think it's a 'trade Baze or Dennis at all/any cost. If he can get value for either, I think he would based on past circumstances. I saw 2 trade rumors involving Bazemore. #3 and Baze for #5 and Matthews. Also saw #19 and Baze to Indy for #23. Dennis rumors: #19 and Dennis to LAC for #13. Besides Dennis was on the trade block at the trade deadline. (See AJC article I posted in the Dennis thread)...."Schröder, who was upset when his name surfaced in rumors at the deadline."
  2. Until Free Agency is complete we don't have any idea what the EXACT plan or roster will be. Bazemore and Dennis were on the block during the draft, so there is still a chance they can be moved when FA starts. Just remember that players selected in the draft can still be traded as long as they haven't signed their contracts (if signed they can't be traded for 30 days, I think). All Schlenk has said so far is we won't be big players in signing big FAs, said they'll wait it out and sign a couple guys to supplement the roster.
  3. Hawks have assets: Prince, Collins, our 3 1sts this year and the 3 1st next year and CAPSPACE. Now they need to turn into something special on the court.
  4. Trae's gonna have a hard time with Harry The Hawk.
  5. Ignoring the pity party someone's trying to throw.
  6. I gave you one of my very valuable likes. .
  7. You forgot 218-2019 as well
  8. With arrival of Trae Young, can Hawks really keep Dennis Schröder?
  9. Now that the Draft is over and Free Agency looms July 1st. What's the Hawks plans? Schlenck said on radio this morning, they'll just sit back and let the FA frenzy play out and sign one or two FAs to fill out the roster. We had approximately $26 mill in capspace minus our 3 rookies, so maybe about $16 mil now. An extra $5 if Moose opts out. (My nimbers maybe slightly be off as I'm doing this from memory). I still think we'll have a chance to gain some future asset(s) from teams looking to dump salary. Bucks, Wiz, Wolves, Nuggets, Pistons, Blazers, Spurs - all teams that were looking to dump contracts before the draft. They'll still be looking to make moves in FA Baze, Dennis, Plumlee - what's next and where to? I wonder if the Dedmon opt in was to go to Bucks since we had a trade lined up with them for #17?
  10. If Schlenk had done #3 and Baze for #5 and Wez that would have been disastrous. Good thing the Mavs backed out, they didn't want the extra year of Baze's salary.
  11. I heard that it's not the location that had the surgery it's the vertebrae above and below that's now the concern, meaning he may require more surgery.
  12. Why we always gotta compare a white guy to another white guy .
  13. Thanks CageyOne!! I needed that.
  14. This tidbit is interesting...Thanks Woj for tipping the picks or Travis would have traded up to #17. Schlenk told 95.7 The Game in San Francisco on Friday that he had a deal in place to acquire the No. 17 pick from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for a draft pick, but he never had to make that deal because the media were projecting picks prior to them being announced. "Last night, for instance, we had the 19th pick and we're coming down and we're actually talking to Milwaukee on the 17th pick, talking about trading up to get a guy we like," Schlenk said. "There's were a couple of guys we felt really good about on the 19th pick, obviously Kevin [Huerter] was one of them, and it leaked who Milwaukee was going to take. "So, all of a sudden, we were able to pull back out of that deal and keep the draft pick instead of packaging picks to move up because we knew that two guys on the board we felt really good about and only one team in between us so that was beneficial to us last night."
  15. Ok. I forgot about the QO for the 2nd year.
  16. I thought we had 2 two way players already. Bud's son and the Cleveland kid??
  17. No. He's out 3 months.
  18. Agreed on Schlenks negotiating skills. Ideally you don't want a malcontent Dennis disrupting the team but I have no interest in giving away an asset in order to move him, or buying him out and stretching his salary over the next 7 years at $6.6 mlion in dead money. The Pistons are still paying Josh Smith. So for now, there is nowhere for Dennis to go.
  19. We'll be right back in the lottery mext season. So far in his tenure, Schlenk has drafted all offensive type players yet he's hired a defensive minded coach. Mmmmmmm. Lloyd has his work cut out for him, he's now behind the 8 ball. One thing he said was he wanted a physicality to his defense...Ok.
