  1. How much money did Grant Williams lose this past offseason? He apparently turned down 4yr/$50 million, now can't get off the bench. Bobby Manning: Asked Joe Mazzulla about Grant Williams’ DNP. He said the rotation they’re using gives them the best chance to win vs. Atlanta, and they’ll continue to run that. – via Twitter RealBobManning
  2. The Play-in was one of those things that the masses thought was stupid.
  3. I will reserve judgement until I see what it looks like and how players compete or not. These games count as part of the 82 games so in some sense they are important.
  4. I need our guys to run through these kinds of screens if the refs are not going to call these moving screens. It's not football.
  5. stop it bro...you are killing me...my sides are hurting from laughing.
  6. Light the Beam has taken the NBA by storm - the NBA will always jump on the hot thing.
  7. Well shit...just let's end the thread here. What a description. Love it!
  8. T-Minus 6 hours! Things I would like to see: Whatever we did in the first half of G1 to be down 30 points - Don't do that! Pace - pick it up, if they are only going to play 7.5 players, we gotta run, run, run. More ball and player movement, get it to the bigs. Rebound and play some defense. Play with toughness - force the ref to blow the whistle (they're gonna blow it any way, so might as well make it a good one). Dislodge these guys - the first half was like practice for them. They got whatever and wherever they wanted and more. Press Jalen Brown's injured hand on catching and dribbling.
  9. Excerpt: As for Young, it should surprise no one that even his fellow players are somewhat skeptical of him these days. He’s the Atlanta Hawks franchise centerpiece player during this time of great tumult and organizational transition, which means the spotlight will fall mostly on him. Just as it did in a much more flattering way years ago when the Hawks made their unexpected run to the East Finals. And how’s this for an oddity worth highlighting? Six players — Deandre Ayton, Tobias Harris, Jaren Jackson Jr., Damian Lillard, Austin Reaves and Nikola Vučević — received votes for both “most overrated” and “most underrated” (a category you can find next). The Lillard inclusion in this section was quite unexpected. “(The Blazers) haven’t really won that much,” the player who voted for Lillard said. “I know he’s a great player individually, but … that’s what happens when you shoot that much. And then just over his career, he (hasn’t) won that much. It’s not his fault, in particular, but I just think he’s a little overhyped.” Of all the surprises, though, it was the Donovan Mitchell vote that topped that list from this vantage point — especially with this career year that he’s having in Cleveland. “I usually rate it on how easy it is to guard somebody, and I feel like if I’m matched up against him I feel pretty comfortable,” the player said of Mitchell. “For where he’s at in the league, I shouldn’t feel that comfortable, you know?” Some of these reasoning are.........well.......stupid!
  10. I think Quin has had time to access each coach like he has each player, money should not be on the list for consideration. Who he keeps if anyone maybe someone who has a good relationship with the players and their development to have some continuity. This situation is a little different from a new coach hired in the off season with an entirely new staff coming onboard.
  11. I'm liking this. It gives teams more info on the draftees. It starts in 2024.
  12. I guess these same players didn't vote for him to be an Allstar.
  13. Regarding Trae 'overrated' - I would love for these players that voted for him to tell their coaches to play him straight up - no double and triple teams, don't design your defense to specifically stop him and take the ball out of his hands. I dare ya! Of the players that voted for Trae, I wonder how many have gotten nutmegged by him,
  14. I don't know how this thread morphed into another 'Supes love affair with Horford thread' but I'mma and I got enough to share
  15. yes - role players all the way - YES! I wish the Hawks had some.
  16. I have no idea what you are trying to connect with these statements in that Quin said Smart is elite.
  17. Yes - he just won DPOY last year. What does Quin saying this about Smart have to do with Al?
  18. So of the 50 - Knicks players, Sixers players, Heat players - yeah I'd be salty too, particularly when EVERY media member pick you to beat the Hawks.
