  1. I'm no insider, but here's one of those trades for you to ruminate on and make you wanna fight somebody while you wait for Supes: In an effort to get Golden State a lockdown baller who — in a reality where deals could still be made at this point — could come in, slow Luka’s roll and boost the club’s title chances, Swartz proposed the following three-way trade: Charlotte Hornets receive C James Wiseman Atlanta Hawks receive F/C PJ Washington and G Moses Moody Golden State Warriors receive F De’Andre Hunter “The 24-year-old forward held Doncic to 23.5% shooting (4-of-17) as the primary defender during the regular season,” wrote Swartz, “using his combination of size (6-foot-8, 225 lbs.) and athleticism to challenge shots and keep him out of the paint.” For the record, that’s the best mark league-wide among the 34 players who Doncic attempted 12 shots or more against this season. It's a pity we didn't get this Hunter for most of the season.
  2. So we need both...cool. thought so. Score the ball, stop the other team from scoring the ball.
  3. Stuff like this is why John Hollinger is no longer a GM. The Hawks have a ready salary match in a Gobert deal with a Clint Capela-Hunter combo, so the real questions are how much the Hawks need to add on top in terms of assets and draft picks and whether that price is ultimately worth it. The bare minimum would be adding in Jalen Johnson (needed to complete a salary match) and the 16th pick in this year’s draft; the Jazz likely would push for at least one future Atlanta first on top of that, plus the future first Charlotte owes the Hawks from the Cam Reddish trade. If the Jazz really push it, they might ask for a swap of Kevin Huerter for the unwanted contracts of Rudy Gay and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, too. So … how much is too much? Is it worth going all-in on a soon-to-be 30-year-old center who will make $47 million in 2025-26? Where is the line at which the Hawks should pass? Keep in mind the Hawks won’t be the only team after Gobert, if he is truly available; surely Charlotte, for instance, would have eyes for him. Soooo.....let's see: Capela, Hunter, JJ, Huerter, 2022 #16, 2023 Charlotte 1st and a future Atlanta 1st for Gobert, Rudy Gay and NAW.
  4. Wiggins was miscast as a lead guy in Minny. He has slotted in with GSW and filled his role. He isn't required to lead and be the guy, so no pressure.
  5. Gotta love the Rasheed Wallace pic,
  6. No., not a good idea at all. He doesn't rebound well enough and doesn't play physical enough.
  7. yes to both, but as in all things - let's wait for the facts of the case from both sides. Rashaun Holmes was in a similar circumstance not to long ago accused of 'beating up his son' - two courts have now awarded him sole legal custody of the child.
  8. Agreed. He's not a lockdown defender but his defense is overlooked. I think he took a step back on defense this past year compared to last year. I think Nate's defensive schemes had a lot to do with our performance this year as well. This is from Hunter end of season review:
  9. If only we could combine Bogi and Huerter into one player. Huerter's health and defense with Bogi's fire.
  10. I'm still trying to come up with an idea for a Capela like trade. We traded Evan Turner's expiring contract and #16 via Brooklyn for Clint.
