  1. If OO can develop his shot like Al did when he was in Atlanta, about a step a season or more, which I think he can with focus, Quin, and Korver, I believe he can make a solid jump there. I'm all for moving Cap for the betterment of the team, which likely comes from creating better fit right now.
  2. I firmly believe that Trae/JB would be better than Trae/DJ fit wise. In fact, I think DJ/JB would probably be better fit wise.
  3. I also don't see JB getting a Supermax. The Celtics paying two players $300m when they haven't accomplished anything would be dumb. He might get a fifth year, but I think they'll be open to proposals.
  4. This x10. We know JB is all-NBA. The others are fun to root for and watch develop, but the likelihood of them reaching the caliber of player that JB already has is low.
  5. Do you see a Trae/Brown pairing being better than a Trae/DJ pairing? I do and we'll likely have to max out DJ the next off-season to keep him.
  6. The market should be pretty good for Capela out there. That's who I would trade first since we already have a starting caliber player that can back-fill his role. I also have confidence that an entire off-season with Quin and Korver will have OO stretching the floor. If we can't find a trade for Collins, it makes him the primary role man and fixes a fit issue at minimum. Okongwu for MIP if this happens.
  7. And we really can't sell the farm when we already sold the future for our 2nd/3rd tier NBA star.
  8. You really can't take a lot of what Kevin O'Connor says about the Hawks seriously. He's a well documented Hawks hater.
  9. I would hate to lose AJ and Jalen, but we are HOPING they become what we KNOW Jaylen already is, so it's a yes for me.
  10. Gafford is one of those players that always seems to play All-NBA level in State Farm, so I'm down lol. Plus, Delon's defense would be great to have again.
  11. I'd do it. I think it gives us more flexibility going forward by breaking JC up into 3 players that could be moved later on. Imo, Tony will be way more willing to deal JC than ever before, but the insiders can weigh in with facts.
  12. I don't think we give Cap away. I think we use him to improve the 3 in some way.
  13. I see the complete opposite. So many big jobs, thank god Quin is locked up.
  14. I got Lively to b/u Okongwu and Cap being traded this off-season.
  15. I'm talking play style in which Towns' ability to stretch the floor on offense would cover for defensive shortcomings and weakness if paired with someone like OO.
  16. Ayton's weak. Sitting out for a rib bruise in a must win game 6? Pass. He would only work next to someone like OO and they'd clash too much; he's not KAT.
  17. I just hate the double standards. As Trae tweeted, he would have gotten "empty stats" and "bad team" as an excuse to not put him on the team. It was a struggle for him just to make 3rd team in the past. He didn't deserve it this season, that's not what I'm saying, but others don't get held to the same standards.
  18. I would easily do this. Trading DJ isn't a tough decision when it's for Jaylen on a new 4 year Max. I truly don't believe Collins will ever be the same player he was, and losing Hunter is only difficult from a defensive versatility stand point. I think short term Bey could fill that hole. I could also see us using Capela in a deal to upgrade the position. Edit: Reread and it's Jalen, not John. Eh... I still think I do it. We hope that Jalen is what Jaylen already is, an All-Star.
  19. Smart is a player you hate when he's not on your team, but love when he is.
  20. He can be our Marcus Smart. I'd take him if he isn't broken now. We need to get more grit (see what I did there).
  21. I'd trade him for a washing machine to help out EQ.
  22. No problem. Obviously, I'm just making a visual observation so it could mean/lead to nothing.
