  1. Most of these games come down to just a handful of stops. Forrest was huge tonight
  2. I’ve been too busy to post this tonight but just dropped in to say Jalen Johnson is the anti-Hunter
  3. No. It’s bad rebounding. Capela had moments but got his lunch taken tonight overall.
  4. I disagree. This has been a good defensive effort but Chicago’s glue guys have created too many extra possessions
  5. Really appreciate Trae’s defensive effort this year. He’s not ever going to get bigger but he has been a pest.
  6. I wish Bogi had gotten kneee surgery three years ago
  7. Lundy in ahead of the Matthews and I’m happy. Then he promptly gets hurt
  8. All of these half assed trades being proposed are centered around the idea that 1, Atlanta is desperate to make any deal and 2, Trae is the problem. And that getting rid of Trae solve our defensive issues negating the fact that it also takes away our biggest offensive advantage. This year he also hasn’t even been our biggest defensive liability but some of us don’t want to see that. Two Steps forward, three steps back.
  9. The problem with hero ball and superstar roster acquisitions is how it deprives you of depth. A la Phoenix now. I’ll say it again, SCORING IS NOT OUR ISSUE. Trae raises the offensive floor of any team and we are already top 3 offense and doing it without a dearth of shooters on the wing. Any trade that does not increase our interior defense or length and shooting on the wings does not make us better and there are trades out there to be had to increase both of those things without giving up any one of our core players to do it.
  10. Phoenix isn’t trading Booker. Please stop spamming the board with nonsense
  11. Garrison isn’t an NBA level rotation player under any circumstance unless you are the tanking Rockets.
  12. A couple guys I’d be interested in taking a flyer on for cheap that I think would add value to this team Wings - Jalen McDaniels, for our trade exemption and a pair of seconds (not currently in the rotation in Toronto); Robert Covington (has beeen mentioned here); Reggie Bullock (at least can still hit a shot unlike Wes); Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (projection based on advanced stats). Bigs - Nic Claxton (I’d give up Capela for him straight up given he is about to be an expiring. Maybe throw in a FRP
  13. JC’s only mistake is being a player who doesn’t fit the modern NBA. Ten years ago when the league was dominated by legit 4s he would be the hottest thing smoking
  14. Or that NY would want Dre over Josh Hart who is Brunson’s boy
  15. I don’t disagree that we don’t want to lose Trae for nothing but the easiest way to keep him is to build a team around him NOW that can compete. The problem is, that scenario you just proposed isn’t a calculated risk at all, just all risk.
  16. That’s just the nature of the league now. There is so security with superstars. You either compete with them, acquiesce to them, or they are planning for their next stop. Plus Kevin Durant, who has also had injury problems and is currently leading a better roster to sub 500 play IS NOT security. Why would he even want to play with that team?
  17. The calculated risk, to me, is upgrading the teams front court depth. We don’t need another scorer and don’t need another star. Our problem is we can’t guard anybody on the perimeter from our wings and the guy on our team who is supposed to is always hurt and isn’t an impact defender. Upgrade his spot or even his backups and this team takes a leap.
  18. I just hope the rest of the league values him like you do. This trade doesn’t make us better
  19. I’ve said it before and will say it again. Our weakness is at the 3. Siakam is good but I don’t think he can play with JJ and I’d rather bet on his upside than Siakam’s longevity. Especially on a more affordable contract. Hunter is too inconsistent, injury prone, and too poor of a POA defender. We need a true glue guy in our lineup. And a deal for Hunter and a first plus some legit perimeter 3&D players/glue guys will take the top off this team.
  20. There’s no way AJ is a worse player than Garrison Mathews Jesus Christ he gets embarrassed every night
  21. We always have that one guy on the bench whose game isn’t flashy but who always seems to positively impact winning who never plays. Its his turn lol
  22. For those still talking about JC he is apparently already wearing out his welcome in Utah and is back on the trade block. So much for that monster bounce back season.
