  1. Denisse from Puerto Rico have been my favorite for 2 years. She doesn't have much T but she has a perfect A!! She actually bumped into me by accident at a Hawks game last year and then immediately apologized, and I wanted to tell her she can bump into me anytime she wants!
  2. Morrison is fool's gold and will be no better than Wally Z with the Celtics. I hope this means Aldridge falls to us.
  3. I would love Speedy at the PG position. The only thing I'd change is I would pick Justin Williams in the 2nd round instead of Pittsnogle. He would add even more interior defense to our squad (5.4 blocks per game #1 in the NCAA)
  4. Belkin would probably love it if no one came to the games so he could just move the teams to another city like Las Vegas.
  5. Quote: I would like to see if we could get Gordon for Al? The Bulls have $20 million in cap room so I wouldn't bet on them trading us Gordon for Al since they can just sign Al outright. Besides if I were them I'd keep Gordon and set up a lethal 3 guard rotation with Gordon being the 6th man. There's no financial pressure for the Bulls to trade Gordon in order to get Al because Gordon is not in a contract year. All that being said I would definitely take Gordon for Al, but if I were you I wouldn't get my hopes up on that actually happening.
  6. Marvin has the most trade value but he also has the most potential upside. Therefore if it came down to trading either one of them I would think Chillz would be the one to go since it looks like he's just going to be a great 6th man / role player like Shane Battier. There were experts that thought Marvin could potentially be a better player long term than Carmelo Anthony, and while that is still to be determined IMO it is much to too soon to trade Marvin. I wouldn't want the same thing that happened when Diaw left and became a star to happen to us again with Marvin.
  7. Quote: Agreed. Jaywalker was the man. I used to love reading his stuff. Whatever happened to him? I used to enjoy his articles/posts too.
  8. Quote: Gay and Morrison will be gone by the time we pick. Um, do you know something we all don't know? Got any inside sources?
  9. Quote: Im telling ya: Toronto - Bargnani Chicago - Thomas Charlotte - Gay Portland - Morrison Atlanta - Aldridge Man I hope that the top 5 works out like that, but I have a feeling that Aldridge will be picked by Portland instead of Morrison. As a matter of fact I think Portland would even pick Roy over Morrison because Nate McMillan loves Roy.
  10. Looks like Gay had a great workout in Charlotte. Hopefully good enough so that they will pick him 3rd. http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/spo...ts/14731508.htm
  11. I agree totally. I would hope that Morrison or Gay (or both would be the perfect scenario) would be selected before our pick. However, if both are still on the board at our pick then we MUST trade down with a team that wants either one of them in order to get more value for our pick. Then we could have our choice between Foye, Shelden Williams, Marcus Williams, O'Bryant, Simmons, etc. If I had to guess right now this is my projected order: 1) Toronto - Bargnani 2) Bulls - Thomas 3) Charlotte - Gay 4) Portland - Aldridge 5) Hawks - Roy However if Charlotte picks Roy over Gay then we should definitely trade down.

    The other BK

Sounds like he'd be interested in a Harrington for Dalembert swap to me.
  13. I agree, I hope Toronto picks the Italian guy just so BK can't trade up with them or someone else to get him. We don't need another SF type of player, we need either a guard to play in the backcourt with JJ or a big man who can block shots and provide interior defense. My draft board is as follows: 1) Aldridge 2) Thomas 3) Roy 4) Foye 5) Marcus Williams 6) Shelden Williams I would be happy with either one of those players. BK should just say no to the Italian guy, Morrison and Gay.
  14. No offense to Royal Ivey but I'm sure that Roy, Foye, or even Marcus Williams would be the starter next year in the backcourt along with JJ.
  15. I wouldn't mind trading down also but I wouldn't want to drop down any further than #10. Then I'm pretty sure we will still be able to get either Marcus Williams, Randy Foye, Patrick O'Bryant or Shelden Williams. We MUST get an unprotected (or at least one that is only top 3 protected) #1 pick next year out of the any deal though.
  16. Just a sad situation for all involved. This really worries me that we won't be able to do anything in FA. It looks like Al Harrington will walk for nothing in return if we can't take back any salary. This also might keep us from signing a mid level FA like Speedy Claxton. Oh well, maybe this situation will finally get resolved on June 2nd and Belkin can finally be bought out once and for all.
  17. I wouldn't mind seeing A. I. and JJ in the same backcourt as long as we were still able to acquire another big man to help ZaZa down low. Of course I doubt if BK would actually do this trade but if he does then I'm all for it.
  18. Atlanta's answer could be Iverson posted: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 Here's yet another reason to panic, Hawks fans -- GM Billy Knight is thinking swingman again in this year's draft. Here's the good news, Hawks fans -- Knight may be thinking Allen Iverson could help fix their backcourt problems this summer. Here's what Knight told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution last week: "Guys are running around saying, 'Point guard, point guard.' But what if I don't agree with that? ... I find [such talk] a little humorous and entertaining ... I always take talent. ... I like good basketball players, and there are a lot of 6-foot-8 players in the draft. And 6-8 is the ideal size." While it sounds a little ridiculous for the Hawks to consider taking yet another small forward in the draft, he's made it clear that he doesn't care what you or I think. "I hear people on sports shows," he told the Journal-Constitution, "and I think that person has as much business talking about basketball as I do running the Nuclear Regulatory Commission." For a guy who's never presided over a playoff team in his five years as a GM, Knight sure acts like he knows what he's doing. Maybe, just maybe, he might. The Hawks rebuilding plan may not be quite as bad as it seems. Several sources claim Knight has been jonesing over Italian forward Andrea Bargnani, a 7-foot combo forward who some scouts say is the closest thing they've seen to Dirk Nowitzki. Remember, it was Knight who, while working for the Grizzlies, orchestrated the trade in 2001 that sent Shareef Abdur-Rahim to the Hawks for the No. 3 pick in the draft. Knight selected Pau Gasol with that pick. At the time he was the highest draft pick ever for a European player straight out of Europe. I think Bargnani is a great prospect -- maybe the best prospect in the draft. The problem is that Bargnani plays the same position that Williams, Al Harrington and Josh Smith do: small forward. What won't happen, I'm told, is the Hawks reaching for a point guard like UConn's Marcus Williams. Some have speculated that the Hawks will go for Williams because he's the best point guard on the board. Two things shoot a hole in that theory. First, I'm told that the Hawks don't feel he's a great fit for their system. Second, Williams is a far cry from Chris Paul and Deron Williams, two players the Hawks passed on because they felt they didn't have the talent Marvin Williams did. The problem for the Hawks is that without a great free agent point guard crop, the team would suffer through another year without a solid floor leader. However, Knight might have a plan there too. The Hawks roll into the summer with roughly $15 million of cap space and are considering passing the free agent market altogether and make a trade pitch to the 76ers for Allen Iverson. Knight knows he needs to start adding some star power to the team and Iverson would be a good complement to Joe Johnson in the backcourt. The Hawks might have the goods to pull it off. Knight could offer Al Harrington (in a sign-and-trade) and one of their young players (Josh Childress or the draft rights to this year's lottery pick) for Iverson. That would free up some of the logjam at the three and four and fill in a serious hole in the Hawks backcourt. If the Sixers are intent on moving Iverson this summer, they'd have to seriously consider an offer like that. There aren't many teams willing to give up much to bring Iverson into the fold -- but Atlanta might actually be a decent fit. While Iverson wouldn't be the long-term solution for the Hawks, he could add an air of respectability to the team for the next three years while their young players like Josh Smith and Williams develop. Say what you will about Iverson and his practice habits, but he plays hard, fights through injuries and tries to win every game he plays in. For a young team like the Hawks, that would mean something. Another factor that might work in the Hawks' favor is the fact that their head coach, Mike Woodson, was an assistant coach for the Sixers from 2001 to 2003. The same source said Woodson has a good relationship with Iverson and would be willing to take him on. Given how few coaches in the league could actually handle AI, that's a plus. Perhaps most important to Hawks owners, he'll sell a few tickets. Last season the Hawks ranked 29th in the league in attendance. The Sixers, on the other hand, had the fifth largest road draw in the league. While Iverson has lost a little of his luster over the past few years, he still puts people in the seats. Whether any of this plays out the way the Hawks intend is anyone's guess at this point. There's no guarantee that Bargnani is around when they pick at No. 4. No guarantee that the Sixers, as they have done the past few seasons, won't decide to hang onto Iverson and give him and Chris Webber one more shot at a title. But at a time in Hawks history when morale is very low, it's nice to see glimmers of intelligent life emanating from one of the NBA's black holes.
  19. I just heard Woodson on 680 and among other things he said that they are primarily looking for "bigs" and he thought that there were some in the draft between picks 1-15 that could help the Hawks. He specifically mentioned Aldridge and Noah (he wasn't sure if Noah officially declared - which he didn't of course), but before he could mention some more names in the draft Buck Belue cut him off in order to ask him "Have you even seen a big man run the floor like Noah?" and then Woody answered him and after that they stopped talking about the draft altogether because then Kincaid asked him another question on a totally different topic! Sometimes I wish Buck and Kincaid would just keep their traps shut long enough for their guests to finish their thoughts. I really wanted to know if Woodson was going to mention Bargnani, Shelden Williams, Patrick O'Bryant, etc. Woody also mentioned that they are looking for another PG but that they were pleased with Royal Ivey and Tyronn Lue also. To me it sounded like the focus will be "bigs" in the draft and maybe a veteran PG in FA (hopefully Speedy Claxton or Mike James).
  20. Quote: Noah, Ty Thomas, Bargnani I would love to get Noah but he is not coming out this year, Ty Thomas is the same height as Josh Smith but weighs about 20 pounds less, and Bargnani is a skinny 7-footer that plays like a SF. Your solution still wouldn't solve the problem we have in the middle, but with my solution at least we could draft 1 or 2 legitimate big men with potential and get better value for our pick by getting another young player like J. R. Smith that we could either keep or use for trade bait. Worst case scenario I could probably live with drafting Bargnani because at least he's 7 feet tall. I just wouldn't expect any significant contribution from him next year, but I wouldn't mind if I'm wrong about that. Also, drafting Bargnani would just create even more of a logjam at the F position so BK would definitely have to make a trade or sign a FA to bring in some more veteran PF/C help.
  21. Quote: Brent Barry is 34 years old averaging 5.8 points per game & 1.7 assist. How in the h_ll is he an important piece of their team? Sounds like a fill in to me. Did you even watch the 2005 Finals? Barry is a 3-point sharp shooter who helped them win a championship last year, remember? I'm pretty sure they are going to need his outside shooting when they face a great defensive team like Detroit again in the Finals (assuming there's a rematch of course). Look, we are probably not going to agree about J. R. Smith, but you still didn't answer my question, what PF/C would you draft in the top 5 outside of Aldridge?
  22. Quote: So picking a PF/C with less talent later in the draft is better? Please help me understand! Ok, what PF/C would you pick in the top 5 if Aldridge is already off the board?
  23. Quote: So you are saying that the fact that San Antonio was willing to give up Brent barry is proof that J.R. is Highly regarded around the league? Exactly. San Antonio is a championship team with arguably the best front office in the league so if they were wiling to trade an important piece of their team in Brent Barry that could help them win a championship this year for J. R. Smith's future potential then that should tell you all you need to know.
  24. Quote: Why do people insist on trading a top 5 draft pick because they are afraid that BK will draft Morrison or Gay. Read my lips! BK will draft a Center or Power forward in this year's NBA draft! The problem with your quote is that there are no PG or Centers rated high enough to be drafted in the top 5 outside of Aldridge (who can play C but is really a PF in the mold of Chris Bosh). That's why I suggest trading down to pick up more value for the pick and draft one of the highest rated PG's and still be able to draft a big man with potential with the other pick. Picking a PG or PF/C not named Aldridge in the top 5 would be INSANE!!
  25. Quote: After watching Denver, they definitely need more shooters. Maybe Send JR over there in a Sign-and-trade for Nene. I wouldn't have a problem with that either, especially if we were to draft a PG with either the 12th or 15 pick because then we would still need another big man. By the way, J. R. Smith has serious talent but for some reason he and Byron Scott don't see eye to eye. Kind of like Boris Diaw and Woodson last year, so don't give up on J. R. just yet because he hasn't been playing. Dude has serious talent and still has a lot of upside potential. Remember, San Antonio almost traded for J. R. at the trading deadline (they were going to trade Brent Barry for him but they didn't finalize the trade until after the deadline so it was rejected) so that should tell you that he is still highly regarding around the league.
