  1. I know its loyalty. I mean Since I have been watching basketball it was always the Hawks. Yeah I was a fan of the purple and gold only for number 32 and yes I was a great fan of the round mound of basketball. I even favor Shaq. But when it comes down to it, its the Hawks I root for. Only thing is I get the feeling like I am faithful to my woman and I know she is cheating on me. Makes me feel kinda stupid.
  2. I have been a Hawks fan since before the Roy Sparrow, Reggie Theus Days. I am only 33 Years old. I attend several games a year. I was at the magic game the other day and will probably be at the Sac game tomorrow. But I still question why I do it. My brother is also a fan and we often question why we are still fans. I come to read your post and wonder why you are fans. I watch games like tonight and I want to go see a doctor because I must be sick to go through this over and over year after year. Literally the only time I turn the TV on is to watch a Hawks game and this is what I get. I just want to know what you guy’s opinions are.
  3. What would make a superstar want to play in Atl. The city has more to offer then the team does, and that is not saying much for a city that does not respect the full rainbow that represents this city. We don't have the money to pay them. We don't have the respect to offer them. If a superstar wants a ring why would he come here? Maybe a guaranteed playoff appearance would help. Hmmm Nahh seems like that’s been done before. Oh well who Knows?
  4. Yes I would like to know how many members we have also. I would not mind a list of members but I don't want to be to pushy.
  5. While one is pointing fingers 3 are pointing back at him.
  6. My only fear is that for some reason everytime I like a player in the begining of the season, he seems to dissapper. I thought I had bad judgement until they would go to another team and be a good player. Go figure. I just hope we keep this one.
  7. Yeah and CC played the best 3rd quarter of his life. Does that make him worth his money. Don't get me wrong I like Doc. I am just not sure just changing the Coach would help. Just because he did it in 99 does not mean he could do it here now. I am all for giving him a chance. But lets not put all of our stock in him as we have done before. sign him to a short contract if no improvements I say we keep shopping.
  8. If that is the case then what would be the case if he came to Atlanta. What would be different. Would we expect him to turn this team around.
  9. Well someone took me for my birthday. I wish the hawks could have given me a better birthday present than that.
  10. I have plans to go. I was just wondering if people actualy support the Hawks or just come here and complain.
  11. I remember last year about this time our losses were by large margins. At least at the end of these games you can still root, root, root for the home team. Because at the end of every game we have a shot at winning. I will say no more for fear of pealing my silver lining off.
  12. I know a player has to prove himself to gain PT, however it is not always a players playing ability that places him where he is. We all know that a coach has to create chemistry. If you have a player on your team with particular qualities and another player comes along with the same qualities what do you do? You tell the new player sorry I already have that. So if that player does not make that team that does not mean that he is not good enough for the team he just does not add anything new therefore not a proper fit. Situation number 2. No matter how good you are in practice come game day things can be altogether different (ask Dion Glover) a coach can see a player practice good and still not want them on the team. Situation number 3. If a player has a talent that is not needed on a team and is asked to perform another talent, if he does not succeed that does not make him a bad ball player his just out of position (ask JT). To judge a player because he did not make a team or because you did not see him play well outside of his talent or you did not see him play enough for him to be comfortable in his role (Reference Boris) is truly an unfair judgment. Incase you are wondering yes I am Pro DJ. I liked what I saw, I think he deserves a fair chance and all the before mentioned reasons why some of us want DJ back on the team. I am guilty of them all.
  13. That’s even worse. Every athlete knows that if you play a sport, when you work out you have to play the sport along side working out. If not it is like wearing a set of weights your chemistry would not be right. If you are stronger then your shot is not the same your speed is not the same. You would have to adjust to it. As would a young man growing 6 inches over the summer. He would not be a good basketball player until he is used to his height.
  14. I think it is more less the Hawks that they are not afraid of. I think while Theo retains his fear factor, he is more so the last man standing. Players and coaches feel if they can run over the rest of the team it just leaves Theo. If they through 5 or 6 guys at him all night he will 1) get tired 2) foul out. Either way they eliminate the fear factor. If the rest of the team will not let people run over them then Theo would become a game changer. If there are a lot less people coming at him then there is a lot less chance of him getting in foul trouble air go he is able to take more risk and be more effective.
  15. You know I think it was mike and bob that said something that made a little since about JT. Over the break he did not work out he did not play much basketball because he could not take the risk of injury. If he got hurt while he was a free agent that would have coast him his livelihood. So he had a late start. While others could work out (lightly) He was sitting home getting fat and out of shape so to speak. So I guess you will have to give him a few months to catch up. Maybe by the end of this month. At least give him that.
  16. What are these guys thinking game after game that it takes someone to tell them, " hey you are not suppose to through the ball to the other team", "Hey you are not suppose to let the other team just run by you and score points"', Hey this is not football you can not just stand there and wait for someone to put the ball in play, make something happen". If you are a multimilliondollar player shouldn't those options come standard?
  17. Yeah I read that. That’s why I was not sure why people were jumping to conclusions. I do hope it to be true however it seems that hope is not synomanous with Hawks.
  18. All this talk of Nique for President. I don't rememeber anything saying that it was even concidered. Where is everyone getting this? Is this hopeful thinking or what?
