I saw the Miami game on TV. I was upset however I still suited up in my Hawks gear and went to the Memphis game as bright RED as I could be. Yes I talked much trash before the game being mocked at about the Miami game. Little did I know how bad I had to eat my words. Yes I expected a loss on a back-to-back game. Maybe even by a large margin. But never by 32 points. I had a flash back from a few years back. All of that said and done, that was not the problem I have with the hawks. This was the most boring game I have ever seen. The one thing, the only thing I looked fwd to this season was excitement. I was not worried about losses or even a loosing season. I just knew there would be some excitement. There was one slam-dunk from the hawks the whole game. 2 3-pointers. No nice passes, no steals to have a fast break on. No D@mn Rebounds at all. No lay-ups no freaking blocks. As a matter of fact I saw no defense. HMMM no defense from a defensive coach/team? Nothing to through back at the Memphis fans as I sat through the whole game because I was too embarrassed to let them see me leave early. I had to support them to the end. I sat at the end of the game with my bright red hawks hat covering my face as I sat in my uncles season ticket seat around all his season ticket holder friends as I was politely asked never to return until I could support a real NBA team because High school teams are only for halftime shows in the FedEx forum.

Good cause I am in Memphis I don't see myself being home before December. I know I will only see a Memphis Atlanta game so I will grab anychance I can to see a Hawks game.

I have a question. If no one will be a free agent in the middle of the season that is not a free agent now, then why would we save our cap room for mid season? From what I understand to obtain one or more contracts you have to exchange one or more contracts of equal value. With that in mind that would mean that our salary cap will not be affected during any mid season trades. I guess my question is why not spend the money now if it does not carry over till next year we can not use it during the season we are not going to use it to lower seat prices and we are not getting new uniforms. Unless our new owners just plan on pocketing the rest? That does not support bringing the fans back at any coast. Could any one help me understand this?

As suprised as I am to say this but I think you guys are forgetting about CC. He showed us some range last year and the only thing I ever liked about him is his hustle. I think he is tired of Basketball being a spectator sport for him and I think he will put it all on the line this year. I mean if he does not get any pt then what will he have next year. Who would pick him up. You have not seen him play in what 3 years then he is way down the bench on a new team. What we have is a team with a lot of contract years and rookies, people needing to be noticed. I don't think it is the talent that will drive us but hunger. Thats the kind of basketball I like to see.

Well Pax has a better picture on my tv then UPN does anyway. For some reason comcast just does not show UPN clear in my neighborhood. all other channels are clear but Channel 10. So I watch Channel 0.

It would be the begining of the year simply because we need to have time to organize and get money in. But my main concern now is a number. Since I have contacted the hawks they contact me every once in a while with email and vmail asking if we have chosen a game that we want to go to. I have not responded back because I believe I may have acted a bit prematurely. I don't see many responces as to if anyone wants to do this. I am asking you guys if I should just drop it or what?

Thats what I don't understand. Kobe has money no doubt so if he did something wrong, Then why not offer some hush money in the begining. For some reason I believe this was a deal gone bad. I believe he promiced her something then reniged(sp). So the only insurance she has is Rape. She pulled her bluff card he calls it and she had to play it. Now that the cards are on the table she has to play to win. She is at a point of no return. All she wants is the money from the get go and Kobe should have paid.

For some strange reason I just want to see him play again. I did like some of the things about his game. The others I think was limited by staff because he is a role player. I think if you give him some more room he could show something better.

I was just looking at our roster. It showed him as a FA. I know we are looking for a big man and I knew he would be cheep.

Now I wonder if they will keep it updated. They are usualy kinda slow with the updates.

Come on man don't give up before we start. I am just as impatient as the next man. but believe it or not there is pleanty of time for something to happen even before preseason. especialy if somthing is in the making already. Lets just keep our shoes tied tight and get ready for the ride.

I totally agree that officials show favoritism. I believe that if you are the best then you don't need extra help. However due to my love for the excitement of the game. I would not want to watch a game where there is little slashing to the basket because of fear of fouls. No ankle breakers because they are scared to palm the ball. Games lasting 4 hours because they ball has to be in bounded every 15 sec because of a violation. I think it is something to think about when we demand fairness. What would you loose. What would you gain. You gain fairness, up the visibility of an average player and an even playing field. You loose your super stars your super plays and of course your superstar pay.
