  1. Quote: Why no one want this kid is simple. He is a immature little brat. it just doesn't make sense to draft a high schooler, expect him to act like a mature vet, then trade him away while he's still one of the youngest players on your team (even after this years draft). hornets HAD to know what they were getting when they drafted him. also i think he had ALOT more trade value. JR has enough game to be a star; chandler certainly doesn't. o well! just like j kidd-i'm sure JR will be glad to play for a coach other than byron scott.
  2. this guy probably never saw smoove play. i've never considered anyone from the snorting news to be credible.
  3. realGM rumor i don't understand why nobody wants to keep JR. he's only 20 and is loaded with special talent. forget the alleged attitude problems- he has 30ft range, can jump outta the gym, slash and finish strong! he reminds me of a young Vinsanity. NOK would rather pay $trillion to peja sto-choke-vic?
  4. Quote: I thought Iverson only had 2 years left on his deal, at most 3. his deal is through the 08-09 season. he is owed roughly: 06-07: $18.3 mil 07-08: $20.1 mil 08-09: $21.8 mil
  5. Quote: On a side note of the Shelden Williams bust talk, I know the Summer League means practically nothing (Wasn't Dion Glover good in the Summer Leagues?) but I think if Marvin keeps this kind of play up that he deserves a little time of not being bashed on here. Way to go Marvin! Keep it up. with marv playin well and the speedy signing, maybe we can go a whole day without hearing the chris paul blah blah blah!
  6. it's nice to see us getting respect from the zebras. i hope it carries over into the regular season.
  7. Quote: I know I'm reading between the lines but with the emphasis on him playing the point, tells me that Ty Lue days are numbered. that's ok with me. lue should actually have trade value. although after the speedy signing, BK talked about the advantage of now having another vet PG with playoff experience.
  8. Quote: anyone know if he's ever played point before? seems a little late in the game to learn to do that if he hasn't before. in an interview after we drafted him, i recall him saying he played some PG in high school. i don't think he played much point at UA cuz they had gardner, then shakur. he's a natural SG, but runnin some point should help him to be more unselfish/take better shots.
  9. Quote: ATL Gets (11.2 mil) Sarunas Jasikevicius (2 yrs remain) Jeff Foster (3 yrs remain) Andris Biedrins (4 yrs remain) ANALYSIS: Billy Knight gets the taller combo guard with legitimate PG skills that he sought earlier, plus the two bigs to help ZaZa down low. i'm not racist or anything, but we'd have more white guys than utah! that's not good.
  10. chillz knows his limits. as far as him knockin down the open 3- i'll take that all day from him. that's part of his role. he can run on the break and finish despite his reggie miller body type. he plays smart and hard.
  11. *not pickin up cheap fouls *keepin his ronald mcdonald feet behind the 3 point line!!! *FT%- i know it wasn't bad last season but 85% would be GREAT, considering his FTA's are likely to increase
  12. Quote: Man those are some good #s. Is he a pure PG and have the ball handling skills or is he an undersized hybrid? he's not really a pure pg; he's athletic with ball handling skills but he's a natural scorer.
  13. what irritates me the most is us not trading down. chi and por did it right. they got who they wanted and more. bk didn't.
  14. no thanks. peja wants too much $$$$ and he's one-dimensional. give marv the playing time.
  15. and another one. gotta be a record.
  16. Quote: I'm HOPING that CHA takes Gay as many project and Roy falls to us. If Roy is gone, I think we take Foye. I think BK has let the rumor that we're taking Shelden go hoping that Roy drops to us. I find it hard to believe that we are going to take a big man without working one out and BK keeps saying we are taking a big. When has he EVER given out any info. I just don't buy it. i'm with you. i'll be shocked if it's true.
  17. nba tv said according to boston globe: BOS gets: theo, telfair POR gets: #7, dickau, lafrentz pryz gonna stay and re-sign?
  18. Quote: Something about every team in the top 8 but us. I guess we really are locked in on Shelden. i really hoope BK is fooling everyone on this.
  19. it's too risky not knowing what's left at #21. i like barbosa but he's not a true PG. he's a scorer with lightning speed. but i say no.
  20. who else you have involved in the trade?
  21. you forgot the part about him being foul prone. i don't want him higher than #10. i hope all this "promise" talk isn't true.
  22. it's about time! i've never liked playing with spaldings. wilsons have always been better imo.
  23. he averaged 11pts 6reb 5ast 2stl. he's only 6'1" but had 19 reb vs iowa this year. i'm not saying take him at #5 but he's a special player who loves to play D.
  24. Quote: Quote: Foye is a more athletic Billups? thats some serious nut hugging. You think Billups has a 38 inch vertical? You think he would time as quick as Felton in the lane agility test? I doubt it. you're right ex. but billups is a MUCH better passer imo.
  25. i don't consider these guys credible sources. screamin a. smith & co. are just doin their job. not much deep insight imo. our boy jay bilas has ty thomas rated #1? that makes no sense to me considering the similarities between tt and smoove of '04. hopefully he calls every one of our picks a bust!
