  1. yeah very solid game again for smoove. tru he didn't shoot well but he seems more confident with his handle and is looking to attack the basket lately and take advantage of mismatches. and he isn't forcing as much. he only got credit for 4 blocks but i think he had more and he altared alotta shots. overall he's maturing and playing smarter.
  2. yeah he was clutch and made good decisions all night. he was usin his inside game at times which i really like along with the 3's. his numbers are incredible. and props to marv for passin up the 3 to get it to jj to tie it.
  3. doesn't give details but interesting... i wonder what the offer was from paxson. anyone have a guess how that conversation went? ajc report/ real gm
  4. SA has no need to make any moves. they certainly don't wanna trade for any defensive liabilities (al). but i like both of those players. barry was a FA last summer and i thought we shoulda went after him for the right price.
  5. yeah u got it right chillz. why couldn't anyone else see this? i just watched the tape finally cuz i worked all weekend and missed it. but when i heard from friends (die hard hoop fans) what happened i just thought he was markin his stride before the foul-line take off. nobody figured it out. and of course the tnt commentators had no clue. they totally overlooked a GREAT dunk that i have never seen (and smoove made it look easy). politics took over once again. hopefully smoove and the other hawks who got overlooked this weekend come out this 2nd half with a vengeance.
  6. smoove is da man! 3 blocks and only 1 foul is impressive, but what stands out to me is he had 0 turnovers in 38 minutes. that's the progress i wanna see.
  7. yeah he was so bad he shot the same as MW24! 1 for 7. smoove has hit those shots this year which is an improvement from last year. those two air balls didn't kill us. nique's nephew killed us.
  8. i've seen hunter play alot this year and i think he is underrated. but what are the hornets trying to do? how many guys are needed to replace birdman? there's gotta be more to come.
  9. picks like ed gray over bobby jackson; roshown mcleod over ricky davis; cal bowlder over... anybody. but i think it's too early to put cenk in this group. he's a total project and i agree with nicholas about the whole late 2nd round pick thing. you really have nothing to lose in that postion.
  10. Hornets just traded 2 second round picks to Sixers for Steven Hunter. Why couldn't BK make a move like this? I know Hunter isn't the answer to all our problems but he could start at center for us. He's young and woulda been worth tryin out.
  11. he's playing for Efes Pilsen (Turkey) in the Euroleague. in 8 games this season he has a TOTAL of 5 assists and avg of 4 pts and 13 min per game. he's 18 and on a pretty good team (2nd place) so his minutes are limited. he's listed as a forward (euroleague.net) but he would probably be a SG here. don't expect him in the nba anytime soon.
  12. yeah i agree with you about warrick. i would like to see someone like tony allen, mo evans, ricky davis, deshawn stevenson or travis outlaw. i hope smoove wins but it won't be easy. i think nate rob will be the fan favorite and iggy will definitely make some noise.
  13. that's incredible! he's been gettin the munchies for over 20 years and still has no body fat!
  14. i'd rather play smoove any day. evans has zero offensive game. he is an above average rebounder but not very athletic or agile. he has 5 blocks this season (34 games). he's not a full-time starter.
  15. i don't see how this is funny. i think it's pathetic and embarrassing. it's one thing to yell and scream and wave things to distract a player. but a laser pointer on your face is not something you can just "drown out" while you're at the FT line. and i don't think this happens to every team at every game or it wouldn't have been on sportscenter or espn.com.
  16. one day and there won't be any room on the bandwagon for you or your boy jay bilas. so hop on now cuz the kid has superstar talent. he just needs work on his basketball IQ. his presence alone can change the game. right now he tends to commit dumb turnovers and force shots. insert a true PG/playmaker and the game will "come to him".
  17. you're exactly right. i was watchin the game on LP yellin at the TV. he discounted everything good the hawks did. we were gettin to the hole pretty easy; why would we settle for the 3? how does kenny get that job anyway? his commentary was so overly exaggerated and biased- almost as bad as the heat commentators, and clueless like bill walton.
  18. BK had to be in on this somehow. Woody is not that dumb. There's gotta be a motive behind it. They're tryin to prove somethin.
  19. i dont understand. he plays great on both ends first half. finishes game playing 20 min. and woody throws him in with 7 secs left in the game so its not like he was hurt or anything. we needed him on the glass and his defense. he woulda made a difference. our most effective lineup: zaza smoove al chillz jj
  20. Paul has been a starter all year. Marv has to wait in line to get off the bench and earn his minutes. Give him some consistent minutes/ starts his numbers and confidence will go up. Marv can catch and shoot nearly as well as Salim. His D will come with experience.
  21. warriors drop aaron miles, pacers drop samaki walker, we drop thomas- all on the same day!!! i'm anxious and nervous
  22. zaza sat first 5 min of 4th and we never built on the 7pt lead. whenever he got touches he was scorin on crafty spin moves and FTs. careless ball handling/passing by salim, al and jj. poor shot selection (smoove, al) and NO defense except for chillz (who couldn't finish on the break- shoulda pulled it back out). we could use eisley especially in the 4th.
  23. yeah we need to pick him up. he's solid. he's a tru pg worth a try. we shoulda picked him up even before the Clips did. he's a veteran leader. send ivey to the d-league for a while.
  24. i can't believe i just read gordon and b davis in the same sentence. gordon avg apg this season is 2.5, career avg apg is 2.1 and career high is 8 assists! he's a gunner we don't need. nowhere close to a true pg; not capable of makin us better with his playmaking abilities.
