Maloney made the difference for the Hawks when he was

here. I remember saying, "As Maloney goes, so goes

the Hawks" because he hit some key baskets for us

several times in close games.

He didn't always have the hot hand and then we lost, but

when he was hot, Hawks would win or come mighty close.
