Terry's taking a gamble

He said the other day that he would decide

before Oct 1st if he is going to sign a contract

or go for the big day.He must have a pretty

good ammount of confidence in his ability to

play the PG spot to take such a risk.

Guest Walter

Terry can seemingly only build upon his Pging ability with the added offensive weapon of G-Rob and the defensive weapons of Theo and Ira to make up for ANY conceivable defensive lapses.

A better team will make him look better even if his numbers, especially in terms of scoring go down a little. So will a bigger stage like the playoffs. Just ask Bibby whom JT is better than.

The Hawks will wish they had signed JT earlier for less but really the "gamble" either way isn't too great.

It was the right move for the Hawks to not sign Terry just yet. If JT signed the extension before the season began and then struggled at PG and had to move to SG, then we over-paid for another useless guy with not much trade value.

I say useless because championship calibur teams don't start sub-6'2 shooting guards unless their last name is Iverson. Jason Terry won't have a successful career from the shooting guard position.

Well I'm sure there was a contract on the table

for JT but he likely wanted bigger and feel he is

worth more but he obviousally realizes he has to

prove himself and I guess that is just what he

plans to do.

Actually isn't David Wesley like 6'3?I don't

think he is all that tall either. But I could

see JT becoming a Bobby Jackson type of

player if he is unable to play the PG slot

fulltime.
