Hawksfreak
I couldn't believe when I was at the game this was absolutly unexeptable! We were so lazy coming back on defense. We were walking down the court to catch up on defense. I couldn't believe my eyes! I loved the comeback at the end, but we were just plain lazy last night. Our Big 4 were the only ones that did something. Our bench was horrific. We have an awsome bench but it was wayout of town last night just terrible. Hendu had 5 points 8 boards and Glove had 5 points and that was pretty much it for our bench! Theo 8 points 8 boards and 4 blocks. JT had an off shooting night but still posted 17 points and 8 assists. Reef and Dog carried the load on offense as Dog had 33 points and 8 boards and Reef almost with a triple double 23 points 11 boards and 6 assists. I hope we can bounce back tommarrow. We should have killed the T-wolves though. I have a feeling we will show our real game vs the Celts though! GO HAWKS
Gray Mule
There will be games where nothing works. There will be games where no shot will fall, no rebound will come your way and you are always in the wrong place at the wrong time --- It happens --- Every team has a few games per season like ours was. Lennie and his team had one against the Hawks just the game before. I didn't get to see the second quarter and only watched the second half. Apparently, everything we did was wrong and everything that the opposition did was right. Looking at the stats, Hawks played a very good game EXCEPT for the second quarter. Bench, which is composed of good, solid players, apparently forgot to show up. Why? Who knows?? Hawks are still in the learning process. This was a hard lesson last night. Hopefully, we won't make the same mistakes again. Too late, we figured out how to attact their zone defense. We'll know the next time. Some say we were supposed to win that game, but we must remember, they have a very good team too. They came to win. They have beaten the Hawks over and over. They used their height to advanage over us and, by the time we made adjustments, it was too late. Hawks can really expect to stay around .500 for a while yet. It's a long season, a marathon, not a sprint. Improvement will come. Turnovers will go down and Jason Terry will not always have a cold shooting hand. Matt Maloney will give us a boost, I believe. Chin up. That was only one game. Hawks will win again --- I guarantee it!! Maybe not the next game, but they will!!!!
