Traceman
I was looking at the nba.com site and they had a feature that compares all the guards and forwards in the Eastern Conference for the purpose of helping people pick the Eastern Conference All Stars. The feature ranked the players from top to bottom using a statistical formula in conjunction with the player's popularity on the open market in their Virtual GM fantasy league. Well guess who they rated as the top PF? None other than Shareef of course. He was the top rated forward in the EC both statistically AND based on his popularity. Makes you wonder why some on this board fail to appreciate what he brings to the table. In addition, they had Big Dog ranked number 5 and statistically, Big Dog was the 2nd best forward behind only Reef. If people vote based on these rankings, we'll have 2 forwards on the All Star team. As for the guards, JT was ranked number 8 but he was number 6 statistically behind T Mac, Kidd, Stackhouse, Pierce and Davis. Statistically, he was AHEAD of AI, Ray Allen and Eddie Jones. That is some pretty strong company. Still want to trade him Diesel? Please! http://www.nba.com/features/east_forwards_021126.html
Guest
Of course Shareef and Big Dog contribute for 3 periods and I haven't said they don't.But these numbers don't show the big choke job these two guys do.
