Blunt91
Emailed Pete to see what are the Hawks planning to do to change their play. Basically the same was said as usual. I apologize for our extremely poor play of late....we are dramatically underachieving, but we are working day and night to effect the necessary change to get us back on track.....we are talking to teams daily about trade options, but we are also working behind the scenes to make the internal changes with our guys in how we play and prepare. Thank you for expressing your opinion. I was reading some post game comments in the AJC by Newble, Terry, Emanual Davis. Newble was saying that the players for some reason aren't giving it their all for the duration of the game. I agree with him in that we need to play with more heart and defend better but then some of it is that we may have the wrong "mix" of players on the team. We get beat on the boards because our big man have to give help for poor defenders like Jason Terry(He and Davis shouldn't have responded in the AJC for they were some of the culprits who gave a poor effort) and cannot get back under the basket in time to challenge for the rebound. I think we need more size on the team(which would possibly help in boxing out and rebounding) and better ballhandling on the team. I think Jason Terry should look for his shot more, because we are clearly missing his offense. When Shareef or Big Dog are struggling with making baskets this is when Terry should be more offensive minded and quit trying to set up players who are struggling to make a basket or are just "offensively challanged" like a Darvin Ham or Ira Newble. Thank you for your time and I hope things turn around soon for the team, because it is getting pretty hard to watch this pathetic display of basketball.
