jezmund
I'm not saying I like these trades, just wanted to see what's out there. Grob/Glover for Eddie Jones works salary wise Grob/CC for Latrell Sprewell works salary wise Grob/CC for J.Crawford/D.Marshall/E.Robinson works Grob/Glover for J.Crawford/D.Marshall/E.Robinson works Grob/Nazr/CC for J.Rose/C.Blount/M.Fizer works These may not be fair or whatever, I just wanted to see what worked. I don't see us getting Eddie Jones. Although it is probably lopsided, I really like that Grob/Glover for JC/Marsh/ and Erob. JT/Jcraw/Marsh/SAR/Theo as starters 1. We'd be more team oriented than with Grob 2. We'd be a much better rebounding team with Marsh at 3 3. All 5 of those guys can score 4. Marshall is probably a better defender than Grob 2nd unit....... Dickau or JC/Ira/Erob/Hendu/Nazr (Ham and CC/McCaskill/or Maloney as reserves) Chicago would have..... JWill/Rose/Grob/Chandler/Curry with Glover/Hassell/Fizer/Baxter on bench Just a thought...... Gray Mule
Battier and whatever it takes to balance out the payroll -- They have a guard that Hawks had before and adding him might be enough {Or maybe not, I don't know how this payroll stuff works, I just know it has to balance out} Battier is young -- Just his second season -- He has the ability to handle the ball without constant turnovers. He is a pretty decent defensive player. He is a scorer and he hustles all the time. Most of all, with all his youth, he is a leader. That's not something that you can be voted into. You can't just decide that someone ought to be. Opinions are like noses, everyone has one and all are not alike. It is my opinion that Battier is the missing piece of the puzzle for the Hawks -- Leadership. Would the Hawks take Battier as a leader? Is he too young and inexperienced to assume such a roll? Since we do not currently have anyone to fill that position - We know that there is a vacancy there - I sure would like to find out. What have we got to loose? We sure aren't going anywhere at present.
Guest
I'd take almost any trade I could get for GRob. Seriously - this team plays better without him. His defensive lapses make everyone else work harder - something a defensively challenged team doesn't need. He's a black hole on offense. Don't get me wrong - the guy can light it up, flat out shoot. But the other parts of his game are so glaring that it just becomes unbearable to watch. I honestly don't know if any team would take him right now...not without our getting the shorter end of the stick. But you know what? I'd take that end of the stick versus having [censored] on a stick...what I think we have now.
cyman3
GROB has skills, but doesnt play well. i think its best to trade him to a team that lacks scoring threats..
