a1aa0
Countless times in a game we merely stand and watch the guy dribbling the ball... Our offensive sets, or lack thereof, are horrible... I do have to admit though that Josh Smith is making an effort to drive more and I like it... He is learning to take it strong to the hole... JJ still doesn't get much respect from the refs when he takes it in... But more often than not, we are settling for jumpers... Last night at home vs. Orlando, luckily we were hitting ours... I do wish we had someone to feed it to on the block... Only person we have close to that now is Zaza and he spends too much time trying to draw a foul... Ah, the ole days of the Willis' hook on the block... The inside/outside game of 'Nique/Willis... The drive capability of Rivers... Memory lane... drzachary
This is true... there is NO offensive scheme visible to the naked eye. Is it possible that they are practicing them, but are just so bad at them that we can't tell? Our options: Fastbreak: Pros- we have athleticism, plus good passing at 3/4/bench. We have a few options to run out there at 5 (Shelden/Solo) Cons- need a point guard. Motion: Pros- we have good passing Cons- need a good point guard, our weakness at 5 is exposed. Triangle: Pros- good system if you are top-heavy on talent (need 3) Cons- we have 2 solid players and a bunch of jokers. "Flex": Pros- this seems to be what we are already attempting to do. Cons- no one moves without the ball, so we suck at doing it. Am I missing any? One "con" for every option is that we need a coach who will teach these things. CBAreject
Yup, we definitely don't need a top-3 pick in this post-heavy sick draft. Let's "teach these boys how to win". While we're at it, I hope we can teach one of them how to grow 3 inches and play center.
