What prevents us from dealing for Garnett?

Why couldnt we just deal for KG givin Minn the same players they would have got in the 3 team deal? I mean other than KG not playing in Phx.

Minn almost has to get rid of KG. Send them 3, 11 Zaza and AJ

due to his relationshop with McHale, and the dignity with which KG has represented the franchise, KMc has said that he will only send KG to a team that he would approve leaving for. It's not a binding no-trade (ala Kobe), but rather a bit of friendship/ respect that KMc is operating under (see KG refusing Boston).

I think with Boston it has more to do with the city itself. Marion doesn't want to go there either. But if you want to change lifestyle, there is no bigger contrast between Minn/St Paul and Atlanta.

That with trade Kicker, KG will be making 28 Million dollars. That's what is keeping us from trading for him.

Here's my counter question.

When you trade for a player with a trade Kicker, do you have to match what he will be making or what he is making before the kicker kicks in?

What prevents us? 8 straight seasons ending in the lottery, ownership struggles, terrible management and front office, young team of similar talents that can't win. KG doesn't want to go to a loser.
