The Trailblazers are just spending money at will. I think the bought the rights of another player today despite all the contracts they bought up on Draft Night. How & why are they doing this? Heck before you know it they will be buying out fans of other teams. I can just see Pritchard contacting Chillz and buying the rights of Diesel, Walter, & KB21.

I can't remember if it was posted here or over on Sekou's blog, but a while back someone posted a link to Forbes' Magazines annual evaluation of NBA franchises. Paul Allen's Blazers not only held one of the lowest values, but also posted the worst financial losses--something like negative 22 million last season alone.

Allen spends what he feels like. The Blazers are merely his hobby. They're not even his primary sports team. He owns the Seahawks as well.
