It is a virtual impossibility to put on 30 lbs. of muscle in a "year"...much less a few months!...I'm sure there's a fair share of "fat" mixed in with that 30lbs.

I actually thing he has a very good chance...but, only if AJ is traded. I expect the Hawks to move AJ at some point before the season starts and If so, I think Mario has a really good chance to stick. He's a defensive stopper and would be a pretty nice piece off the behind JJ.

Marvin averaged 13 and 5 as a 20 year old in the NBA...in what way is that a disappointment??? It's ridiculous to think that way. People expected way to much from him in only his 2nd season. I think he had a very strong 2nd season...he showed marked improvement across the board...he has a ways to go but, i'm confident he'll get there. If he stays healthy I think he'll average 17 and 7 this year!! Big breakout year for Marvin!

Marvin was 19 when he entered the league. You have to remember..think about KG and Kobe and even Jermain O'neal...Marvins numbers are better then all there at this stage in his career. NOW...I'm not suggesting that he will get to that level. But, he's progressing well at this point and everyone needs to chill and let him mature into his body and game! There isn't a 3,4 or 5 that anyone would take over him in that draft and I wouldn't take Felton over Marvin. I personally think he's gonna become a beast in the league...I just hope he's still in a Hawk uniform when he does!

I would agree with your choice of Smoove... However, i don't think that to many people on the board consider him a superstar. I believe most thinks he's the most exciting Hawk and that he has a chance to become a superstar in the near future...I don't think he'll get much better then he is right now as a player. That's why the Hawks should get him signed but only ih the range of what Kevin Martin got (5yr/50mil) If there's a reason why he should get more it's because of the gate...he can and will sell tickets! And that's worth money! He has some holes in his game particulary ball handling, posting as a 4 and shot selection.. He's shown the most improvement on the team since he entered the league and I think this board is excited about where he can go. And lets face it...Hardly any people show at Philips now....There would be none if Smoove wasn't on the team!

That won't happen... Based on the ruling from the Ashlie Lelie situation... It's more likely they'll recoup money in the range of 4-7 million. And it will be a longgggggg time before there's any resolution to that...alot of arbiration and litigation over this money. So don't expect any real resolution anytime soon!

Anyway, if Acie and AL starting gives you the best opportunity to win games then that's what you have to do... These two guy are probably more ready to contribute then any of the rookies we've had in the last 3 or 4 years(Shelden fits into that mold, shoulder held him back) By the time training camp concludes and they've had 8 exhibition games under their belts..."SOME" of those jitters will start to fade...there is nothing like the real thing of course so there will be some jitters for a rookie opening night...wether they're starting or coming off the bench... If two rookies starting gives us the best chance to win games...you HAVE to start them period.

Training camp beings in October...The start the season around Novemeber 1st... So you expect Al and Acie to start right away?

I beleive Bochy sent Dave Roberts in for him...And, If I'm not mistaken...Hank Aaron also left the game early when he broke the record. I think people in general need to give Barry a break... Wether you agree with what "may have" happened or not...he's one of the top five best players to ever put on a uniform period... And he's been convicted of no crime.

Kelly will reamin at 2nd...Renteria will probably be traded either this winter or by the trade deadline next year...We're getting a look at the future at short and 2nd... I believe Andruw and Tex will remain Braves...Hampton's big salary comes off the books next year as well and the new ownership has reportedly commited to giving JS the resources he needs for the team... Frenchy, Escobar, Kelly, McCann...it's gonna be these guys team moving forward...youth movement is in effect!

He's no more established then Al Jefferson or even Kapono for that matter. If that's the case then Marvin or Chillz or even Al Horford would get and invite.

Marvin Williams will be a 20+/8+ player in this league for a very long time...I just hope it's in a Hawk Uniform. I fear we'll be grooming him for someone else if this ownership situation is squared away. He's gonna be a beast and he'll be better then Joe Johnson. and I'm a JJ fan..don't thin he gets enough credit... Marvin has it all...just needs to be more agressive..which will come with maturity.

Acie Law is a stud...I think he'll be a better pro then Conley.

Good news is Horford came back...didn't play all that well or all that much for that matter...but, he's back Shelden was a beast on the boards again...I think he's going to have a good sophomore season... Mario West was all over the place tonite. Acie Law was a beast...best player on the floor tonite.

I like his game...he's a good defender(no better then either Chillz or JJ) and he's a good spot up shooter...Very athletic guy.. I think he might be a slightley better version of Chillz on the court... That being said...I think I would pass on Pietrus and pay Chillz.

I don't think his drafting has been that bad...although you could argue with the spots he chose the players in...Everyone of his picks are good players and couple of them have a chance to be better then good.. More then you can say for alot of other GM's who draft Bust after Bust after Bust.

Come on...BK has had to deal with THE WORST ownership situation in the league...all things considered I think he's done a damn good job... Now, I'm not saying he's perfect...but I think I would only take Colangelo, R.C. Buford, Joe D and Maybe Logo... Otherwise I can't really think of anyone I would defenitively take over BK???

What is the definition of a SG? I think there is no real definition... Bruce Bowen is techinically the SG for the Spurs...However, he's certainly not the 1st option on offense...2nd, 3rd or 4th either for that matter. JJ, Marvin, Chillz, Salim and to a certain extent even AJ are wing players..they all have different strengths and weakeness...JJ is the most well rounded...Chillz is probably the best defender...Salim is probably the best shooter. Marvin hs the ability to move to the front court because of his size...but, he's a wing player on this team.

Here's one to ponder... All things being equal...which GM's would you choose to run your franchise before BK? Understanding that no ownership situation is perfect...and we all know that our situation is as far from perfect as can be.. In terms of every aspect of building a winning team (draft, free agency, trades, cap management, coaching etc.etc.)... If the ownership situation was equal on all levels...what's the pecking order and where does BK fall?

You cannont draft for stardom if there's no consensus "star" there...The draft is a crapshoot for the most part anyway... There have been numerous 1's and 2's that didn't wind up being stars...and then you have the Paul Pierce's, Josh Smith's, Tony Parker's, Gilbert Arenas's of the world that defy scouting reports and become stars... You make THE BEST PICK for your team at that number. That's about it.
