Interesting. Most feel that the pick will be Diaw. That's what I'm thinking at this point.

Out of those mocks, five have the Hawks taking Diaw. Three have the Hawks taking Hayes. Two have the Hawks taking Delfino and Gaines. Everyone else projects someone different.

But, I doubt they are looking at Diaw as a point guard. I think they will draft him as a shooting guard who can handle the ball, and they will probably eventually move him into a point forward type role.

I forgot who it was, but someone mentioned in a chat that Diaw-Riffiod is like a utitility player in baseball. He can play 3 positions, and he can defend. Will he ever blossom as an offensive threat?

"One of them has Hinrich dropping to us???? No WAY that happens. Even if he did drop to us I really don't trust him. I will admit he is better than Dickau at this point, but I have a feeling he will turn into a slightly better Dickau, but I could be wrong."

Interesting. I think Hinrich will be taken by pick #10. But i don't see him turning out as one of the impact players in this draft. He does have one advantage over most of the players; that is experience. He could step in on almost any team and give a good contribution. However, a dramatic turnaround to a franchise, he will not make, IMO...

his athleticism, vertical, and general strength at the Chicago camp really impressed me, esp. given that he's a late lotto pick (at the least), so you don't even knwo how hard he's been working out as of late...

I was impressed.

I think Hinrich will end up being better than many people think. That whole coaches son thing is important. I don't picture him as Bobby Hurley... But maybe more like Pistol Pete. Even though Pete was probably the best collegiate player EVER, I think the same drive will follow Hinrich that followed Maravich.
